인간-자동차 상호작용 연구를 위한 Object선정에 관한 연구 (The Study of Object Selection for Human-Vehicle Interaction)

  • In this paper, driver's judgements for the priorities of vehicle devices were studied to establish the standard of design of inside devices. The differences within drivers who have different careers were also studied. For this study, two experiments were conducted. First experiment was peformed in terms of total devices in the vehicle cockpit, and second was peformed in terms of the visual devices that these were the source of visual information. These experiments were analyzed using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. The result showed the priorities of devices and little relationship between the career and the judgement. Especially, it was shown that the novice tended to depend on the information from visual devices.

  • In this paper, the improvement of cap tilting system in heavy truck and the development of program for automatic design are discussed. Cab tilting system takes some important roles in heavy truck, absorbing discomfort vibration from load, increasing repair efficiency and making sure of safety. Common manual cab tilting system cannot be easily tilt up in sloped road, giving difficulty to driver as cal tilting up/down. So recently hydraulic cab tilting system is in wide use. But some problem such as tilting up/down speed is not constant and sudden swing of cab has brought discredit from user. Therefore, this paper presents advanced cab tilting system which prevents sudden swing of cab and development of program for selecting design parameters automatically.

Maize improvement largely driven by contributions from many loci of small effect

  • In recent decades, scientists have had great success identifying specific loci that contribute to the variability of agronomically important phenotypes. But, while loci of large-effect remain the simplest and most commonly identified in genomic studies, mounting evidence suggests that a substantial proportion of crop evolution is driven by loci of small effect. In this talk, results demonstrating that large-effect loci are not the primary driver of maize evolution will be presented, along with a new method to test quantitative traits for evidence of past selection. By applying this this method to a maize breeding population, we show that agronomic traits important for breeding are often dictated by loci of small effect. The implications of these results for driving crop improvement will be discussed, including their potential application to breeding protocols that anticipate global climate change.

  • The DTV (Digital TV) tuner for an 8-VSB (Vestigial Side-Band) modulation was developed to meet the requirements of the ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee). The double frequency conversion and the active tracking filter in the front-end were used to cancel interferences between adjacent channels and multi-channels by suppressing the IF beat and the Image frequency. However, It was impossible to get frequency mapping between the tracking filter and the first VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) in the existing DTV tuner structure which differs from the NTSC (National Television Systems Committee) tuner. This paper, therefore, suggests an assailable structure and a new method for the automatic frequency selection by mapping the frequency characteristics over the tracking voltage and the combined HW which is composed of a Micro-controller, an EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory), a DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter), an OP amplifier, and a switch driver.

  • This paper presents the selection method o( the input current wave forms for the thrust force ripple of linear pulse motor (LPM). We have developed and tested a prototype 2-phase 4-poles LPM with the permanent magnet and its control driver. To obtain the thrust performance curve of LPM, the performance curve at the air gap and the thrust are calculated and estimated by the analytical method on the base of the magnetic equivalent circuit and the finite element method. And, the thrust characteristics at the static operation state are analyzed and experimented with the respect to the input wave forms such as the rectangular, the triangular micro-step and the sine micro-step wave forms to investigate the thrust ripple and the vibration effects of LPM.

  • The use of small hemispherical high-speed precision bearing has increased drastically these days in the field of computer disk driver, highteech devices as well as communication and electronic device drivers. It was suggested that the new polishing process adopting the diamond grinding wheel and polishing tool instead of multi stage lapping processes, which enables the mass production of the bearing by reduction of polishing time. Polishing mechanism was analysed and the results were applied to the design and manufacturing of the polishing system. Experiments for selection of optimal polishing conditions were carried out using the polishing system.

  • A study on the static type train simulator will include the training of new drives requires that the environment of the cab, controls placement, etc. must highly realistic so that driver can readily transfer his training experience to the real world. The simulator computer sends video disc speed command to a Video PC processor. A video switcher select the output of the on-line player. This selection is done with loss of vertical synchronization, meaning the picture will not noticeable roll or jump as the simulation mover from disc to disc. The video image quality remain contestant through the simulated speed range from zero to 100km/h. Flicker is avoided in the scene by the use of a TBC(Time Base Corrector) which causes the display of one video field at a time. Thus, no interfield jitter is present when the scene is stopped.

Design Method and Analysis for Current Limit Charger of Battery System for Regulating CDE Power of Satellite

  • The cooler driver electronics (CDE) for maintaining a low temperature of a satellite payload IR sensor has a compressor with a pulsation current load when in operation. This pulsation current creates a large voltage fluctuation and may negatively affect both the load and regulated bus stability. Thus, a CDE power conditioning system has a battery for use as a buffer that is connected in front of the CDE load line. In this system, a battery charger limiter circuit is required to protect from an over-charge of the battery and power to the load. In this study, an optimal design and parameter selection were developed and simulated.

고령운전자의 운전 특성 분석에 관한 연구 (Investigation of the Driving Characteristics of Elderly Drivers)

  • 최근 들어 고령운전자의 이동편의 및 안전증진을 위한 차량 및 도로시설의 운전환경개선에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 65세 이상 고령운전자의 특성을 설문조사를 통하여 분석하여, 일반운전자와 비교한 자기인식 및 운전특성의 차이점을 도출하고, 이를 바탕으로 개선방안을 제시하였다. 분석결과 고령운전자의 통행목적은 출퇴근 50%, 업무 33%로 나타나 자가운전을 하는 고령자의 경우 아직 경제활동을 하는 경우가 많은 것으로 나타났고, 이는 일반운전자와 매우 유사하였다. 고령운전자는 차량선택 시 안전성을 가장 중시하였고, 일반운전자는 브랜드인지도를 더 중시하였다. 그리고 고령운전자는 운전경력이 일반운전자에 비해 상대적으로 오래되어 교통상황에 대한 기술적인 대처능력은 일반운전자와 큰 차이가 없지만, 신체적인 능력저하에 따른 차이, 즉 거리 감각이나 반응속도 등은 일반운전자와 비교하여 차이점을 인식하고 있고 이에 따른 심리적 불안감을 갖고 있다. 또한 고령운전자는 워크로드가 많은 도로환경에 대하여 심리적인 위축감을 크게 느끼는 것으로 파악되어, 향후 도로시설물에 대하여 시인성 향상을 포함한 개선을 통하여 안전한 도로환경을 구축하는 노력이 필요하다.

  • 본 논문에서는 인터넷을 통한 운전면허 학과시험 학습시스템을 설계한다. 문항반응이론에 의거하여 학습자 능력모수를 정확히 측정하고, 측정된 학습자의 능력에 따라 최적의 평가문제와 학습콘텐츠를 동적으로 제공함으로써, 짧은 시간에 효과적으로 합격에 도달할 수 있도록 하는 개인 맞춤형 이러닝 시스템을 제안한다. 본 학습시스템은 콘텐츠 데이터베이스에 저장된 개념 단위 오브젝트 형태의 운전면허 학과시험용 학습콘텐츠들과 문제은행 데이터베이스에 저장된 운전면허 학과시험용 평가문제들을 연계하여, 학습자의 문항반응에 따라 최적의 문항과 콘텐츠를 제공할 수 있도록 설계된다. 각 문항들은 난이도, 변별도, 추측도의 문항모수를 보유한다. 또한 사용자 프로파일 데이터베이스에는 학습자들의 상태정보, 운전면허 학과시험용 평가문제들에 대한 피험자들의 문항반응을 유지 관리하고, 피험자들의 문항반응을 기초로 학습자 능력모수를 저장한다. 이들 데이터베이스는 인터페이스 에이전트, 콘텐츠 문항선택 & 피드백 에이전트 및 오프라인 추정기로 구성된 동작구조에 의하여 온라인 혹은 오프라인 형태의 동적 맞춤형 학습방식을 제공하여 최적의 학습과정을 제공한다.
