Development of Contact Algorithms for Three Dimensional Surfaces (삼차원 곡면에 대한 접촉해석기법의 개발)

  • Finite element analysis of material deformation is successfully utilized to understand metal forming processes such as forging, extrusion and deep drawing. However, such analysis involves contact problems; a free node touches a die surface and a contact node slips along the die surface. In the present investigation, appropriate contact algorithms were developed assuming that a three dimensional surface can be divided into bilinear patches and that nodal velocities are linear during an incremental time. The algorithms were coded into a computer program and tested for a simple surface. Comparison of the test result with that obtained from a commercial code is presented and discussed.

  • Composite materials are drawing attention as the leading fabrics for casual wear. One reason for this is the shift in fashion trend to more casual apparel. Espectations of further acceleration in this area are so high that woven fabric movement are taking more and more of a new turn away from conventional materials made of fine denier filament to wool-like fabrics by mellange effects.

  • 본 논문에서는 직선과 곡선으로 구성된 단순한 도면으로부터 곡선을 검출한 다음에 곡선을 원형 아크로 분할하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문의 방법에서는 먼저 선의 중심점을 찾은 다음에 연결된 중심점을 추적하여 선분을 검출한다. 그 다음에는 선분의 양 끝에서 선분의 방향을 이용하여 이웃한 선분을 검출하여 선분을 확장해 나간다. 선분을 확장한 다음에는 직선을 제거하고 곡선만 남긴 다음에 재귀적 분할 방법을 이용하여 곡선을 아크들의 집합으로 분할한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 벡터화 소프트웨어와 벡터 기반 아크 분할 방법과 비교 실험을 수행하였다 실험 결과에 의하면 본 논문에서 제안된 방법이 기존의 방법에 비하여 교차점을 가지는 곡선에 대하여 보다 정확하게 아크로 분할하였다.

  • NC code has to be made after changing the drawing information to DXF file, the converting file. Arranging the information ordered irregularly when DXF file is made decrease the unnecessary time of rapid feed during working and the DATA capacity when the information is changed. This CAM program can be used easely for the beginner of the minor enterprises. The connection of operations and the use of GUI increase business efficiency.

  • The predictions of metal flow forging load optimal die angle and preform size are not so easy in turbine blade forging. First of all the quality of final product is influenced by side force which is one of the significant factors. in this study slab method is applied to determine optimal die angle minimizing side force and the position of preform Finally drawing of die design is obtained in optimal die angle with developing tool that is composed of Visual Basic.

  • In this study, using the stamping, analysis program, PAM STAMP, applied to the drawing result of springback analysis and draw analysis with applying on the best design planning as many times simulations from the initial stage of the die developing of automotive panels. Especially, after inspecting the design method with stamping analysis and springback analysis, write about the die development examples, using CADCEUS which is the software revising the amount of springback.

  • A process model is formulated considering the effect of crystallographic texture developed in forming process. The deformation induced plastic anisotropy can be predicted by capturing the evolution of texture during large deformation in the polycrystalline aggregate. The anisotropic stiffness matrix for the aggregate is derived and implemented in Eulerian finite element code using a Consistent Penalty method. As an application the evolution of texture in rolling drawing and extrusion processes are simulated. The numerical results show good agreements with report-ed experimental textures.
