Preparation of Cross-linked Asymmetric Membrane and Control of Its Morphology and Mechanical Property

  • Polystyrene-co-divinylbenzene (PS-co-DVB) asymmetric membranes were prepared. In order to control their structure and mechanical properties the degree of cross-linking and the composition of casting solution were varied. The rubber added PS-DVB membranes was also prepared to overcome the mechanical limitation of cross-linked membrane, and their mechanical properties were investigated. It was revealed that the concentration of polymer in the casting solution affected the determination of skin formation. When the PS-co-DVB membrane consists of styrene-butadiene (SB) rubber or liquid polybutadiene (PBD), the structures formed showed that the PS content in the PS/DVB system played an important role in determining the porous sublayer structure.

Adsorption of Uranium (VI) Ion on 1-Aza-12-Crown-4 Synthetic Resin with Styrene Hazardous Material

  • 1-Aza-12-crown-4 macrocyclic ligand was combined with styrene (2th petroleum in 4th class hazardous materials) divinylbenzene copolymer having 1%, 2%, 3%, and 6% crosslinks by a substitution reaction, in order to synthesize resin. These synthetic resins were confirmed by chlorine content, elementary analysis and IR-spectrum. As the results of the effects of pH, equilibrium arrival time, crosslink of synthetic resin, and dielectric constant of a solvent on uranium ion adsorption for resin adsorbent, the uranium ion showed high adsorption at pH 3 or over and adsorption equilibrium of uranium ion was about 2 hours. In addition, adsorption selectivity for the resin in methanol solvent was the order of uranium ($UO_2{^{2+}}$) > iron ($Fe^{3+}$) > lutetium ($Lu^{3+}$) ions, adsorbability of the uranium ion was in the crosslinks order of 1%, 2%, 3%, and 6% was increased with the lower dielectric constant.

  • A metal complex, copper (II) L-proline was chemically bound to ethylene glycol dimethacrylate and divinylbenzene crosslinked chloromethylated polystyrene and they were used as chiral chelate resin matrix for column chromatography to resolve enantiomers of DL-amino acids. The L-enantiomers eluted first and the degree of resolution on the polymer crosslinked with ethylene glycol dimethacrylate was superior to the polymer crosslinked with divinylbenzene.

Styrene을 이용한 OenNtn수지의 합성과우라늄(VI) 이온 흡착 특성 (Adsorption characteristic of uranium(VI) on OenNtn synthetic resin with styrene)

  • The ion exchange resins have been synthesized from chloromethyl styrene (dangerous matter) 1, 4-divinylbenzene(DVB) with 1%, 5%, and 15%-crosslinked and macrocyclic ligand of cryptand type by copolymerization method and the adsorption of uranium(VI), cobalt(II) and europium(III) ions have been investigated in various experimental conditions. The correlation between the adsorption characteristics of rare earths and transition metal on the resins and stability constants of complexes with macrocyclic ligand have been examined. The uranium ion was not adsorbed on the resins below pH 2.0, but the power of adsorption of uranium ion increased rapidly above pH 3.0. The adsorption power was in the order of 1%, 5% and 15%-crosslinked resin, but adsorptive characteristics of resins decreased in proportion to the order of dielectric constants of solvents.

  • Cryptand[2,2] was grafted to low crosslinked styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer by substitution reaction with chloromethylated styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer. This resin was stable in concentrated acid and base, and showed a good resistance to heat. The pH, time, and concentration dependence of the adsorption of metal ions by this resin were studied. Studies on the chromatographic separation of lanthanides, $Cu^{2+}$ and $UO_2^{2+_2}$ were also carried out with various eluents. These studies demonstrate that this resin has the applicability to the preconcentration and separation of metal ions.

  • 무유화 에멀젼 공중합법을 이용하여 180~200 nm의 지름을 가지는 단분산성 폴리(스티렌/디비닐벤젠/비닐 아세테이트) [poly(ST-co-DVB-co-VAc)] 고분자 나노입자를 합성하였으며, 제조된 단분산성 고분자 나노입자의 표면을 비누화반응을 통하여 개질하여 단분산성 폴리(스티렌/디비닐벤젠/비닐알코올) [poly(ST-co-DVB-co-VA)] 나노입자를 제조하였다. 합성된 입자를 반응염료와 반응시켜 적색과 청색 단분산성 폴리(스티렌/디비닐벤젠/비닐알코올) 나노입자를 제조하였으며, 입자의 형태, 분산성 및 표면전하를 전자현미경, 시차열분석기, UV/Vis 흡광기 및 제타 전하 측정장치를 이용하여 규명하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 여러가지 메탈로센 촉매 및 trityl tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)borate/triisobutylaluminium 공촉매 시스템을 이용하여 에틸렌, high ${\alpha}$-olefin 및 divinylbenzene으로 구성된 삼원공중합체를 중합하였다. 우선 삼원공중합체 중합에 있어서, 최적의 촉매를 확보하기 위해 rac-$Et(Ind)_2ZrCl_2$, rac-$SiMe_2(Ind)_2ZrCl_2$, rac-$SiMe_2(2-Me-Ind)_2ZrCl_2$ 등의 메탈로센 촉매들과 trityl tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl)borate/triisobutylaluminium 공촉매 시스템을 이용하여 삼원공중합체의 촉매활성도, 분자량 및 분자량 분포도를 비교하였다. 공단량체로 투입되는 high ${\alpha}$-olefin의 사슬 길이 변화가 삼원공중합에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 여러 가지 중합 조건들은 동일하게 유지하면서 1-hexene, 1-octene, 1-decene 또는 1-dodecene을 도입한 삼원공중합체들을 각각 합성하였다. 이와 같이 준비한 삼원공중합체들의 화학 조성, 열적 특성 및 기계적 물성 등을 비교 분석하였다.

폴리에틸렌을 지지체로한 4-Vinylpyridine-divinylbenzene 불균질계 음이온교환막의 제조 및 그의 특성에 관한 연구 (The Preparation and its Properties of Heterogeneous Anion Exchange Membrane from Polyethylene Matrix with 4-Vinylpyridine-divinylbenzene)

  • 본 연구는 붕소이온 분리를 위하여 4-Vinylpyridine-divinylbenzene(이하 4-VP-DVB라 칭함) 음이온 교환수지를 합성하고, polyethylene(이하 PE라 칭함)을 지지체로 사용하여 불균질계 음이온교환막을 제조하였다. 또한 그들의 구조와 기계적 성질 및 전기화학적 특성ㅇ르 FT-IR, conductometer와 pH meter 등의 기기로 측정하였으며, 유속과 전압의 변화에 따른 막의 성능을 평가하였다. 막의 분리성능은 PE 지지체 내에 4VP-DVB 이온교환 수지의 함량이 50wt%인 불균질막이 가장 우수하였으며, 산처리한 막이 수처리한 막의 그것보다 우수하였다. 막을 이용한 전기투석 실험에서 붕소이온 분리시 최적유속, 전압 및 시간은 각각 10mol/min, 18volt, 4시간이었다.

4,7-Di-thiophen-2-yl-benzo[1,2,5]thiadiazole을 기본으로 한 고분자의 합성 및 광전변환 특성 (Synthesis and Photovoltaic Properties of Low Band Gap π-Cojugated Polymer Based on 4,7-Di-thiophen-2-yl-benzo[1,2,5]thiadiazole)

  • 4,7-Di-thiophen-2-yl-benzo(1,2,5)thiadiazole과 1,4-bis(dodecyloxy)-2,5-divinylbenzene을 Heck coupling 중합법을 이용하여 poly[4,7-Di-thiophen-2-yl-benzo(1,2,5)thiadiazole]-alt-1,4-bis(dodecyloxy)-2,5-divinylbenzene (PPVTBT) 공중합체를 합성하였다. 합성한 PPVTBT의 최대흡수파장과 band gap은 각각 550 nm와 1.74 eV이고 HOMO와 LUMO enegry level은 각각 -5.24 eV, -3.50 eV로 나타났다. 합성한 공중합체인 PPVTBT와 (6)-1-(3-(methoxycarbonyl)propyl)-{5}-1-phenyl[5,6]-$C_{61}$(PCBM)을 1 : 6의 중량비로 blend하여 제작한 소자의 효율은 AM 1.5 G, 1 sun 조건($100mA/cm^{2}$)에서 0.16%의 효율을 보였다. 그리고 소자의 Jsc (short circuit current), FF (fill factor)와 Voc (open circuit voltage)는 각각 $0.74mA/cm^{2}$, 31%, 0.71 V로 나타났다.
