Research about auto-segmentation via SVM (SVM을 이용한 자동 음소분할에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper we used Support Vector Machines(SVMs) recently proposed as the loaming method, one of Artificial Neural Network, to divide continuous speech into phonemes, an initial, medial, and final sound, and then, performed continuous speech recognition from it. Decision boundary of phoneme is determined by algorithm with maximum frequency in a short interval. Recognition process is performed by Continuous Hidden Markov Model(CHMM), and we compared it with another phoneme divided by eye-measurement. From experiment we confirmed that the method, SVMs, we proposed is more effective in an initial sound than Gaussian Mixture Models(GMMs).

  • Recent interests in intelligent LP modeling aim to support MS/OR-naive users to be able to apply LP models to practical problems without the expert knowledges required. For more generalized LP modeling, a GPS(General Problem Solver)-based approach is suggested in this paper. It identifies modeling process as a means-ends analysis process. In view of this approach, a) we first divide the knowledges into domain specific assertive knowledges(state) and procedural knowledges about LP modeling(operator and macro) for model-domain independence, b) and then generate LP model according to the difference resolution techniques.

  • This paper deals with sufficiency conditions for irreducibility of certain induced modules. We also construct irreducible representations for a group G over a field $\mathbb{K}$ where the group G is a semidirect product of a normal abelian subgroup N and a subgroup H. The main results are proved with the assumption that char $\mathbb{K}$ does not divide |G| but there is no assumption made of $\mathbb{K}$ being algebraically closed.

  • The purpose of this paper was to present the method of progress efficiency of morphosyntaxical analyzer for French information processing in the view of multilingual information processing. This study indicated that he method prohibit the additional useless word type by decomposing word type by decomposing works which were created by morphological amalgamation. Findings also suggested the need of preprocessing in order to decrease the overload of morphosyntaxical analysis algorithm. In addition, general rules were proposed to divide word form and to decompose complex sentence.

  • An optimization approach is used to solve the division problem of working area, and a cost function is defined to represent the constraints on the solution, which is then mapped onto the Hopfield neural network for minimization. Each neuron in the network represents a possible combination among many components. Division is achieved by initializing each neuron that represents a possible combination and then allowing the network settle down into a stable state. The network uses the initialized inputs and the compatibility measures among components in order to divide working area.

  • The generalized Bathe method, proposed by Webb and Fox, which is a method of calculation of dose correction factor for the purpose of heterogeneous tissue, is complex even for a few kind of tissues. The method was modified for the purpose of getting a simple method that divide the multilayer of heterogeneous tissues into some groups of adjacent-tissue pairs. This new method could reduce the number of exponential terms and the time for calculating the dose correction factors by manual and computer calculation.

  • We present new ramp-reset waveforms that realize fast addressing in AC-PDPs. These waveforms distort the distribution of wall charges on the surface of a phosphor layer: hence, the enhanced electric field helps to ignite a cell faster. They also reduce the black luminance: the divide of erasing ramp down discharges into two parts, i.e. a surface discharge and a vertical discharge, makes lower luminance.

  • This paper deals with a surface charge simulation method of calculating three-dimensional electric fields and capacitance. The principle is to divide the electrode surface into rectangular or triangular elements of which charge density is the linear function of the electrode coordinate and to formulate a linear equation for the coefficients of charge density function and to determine those coefficients by boundary conditions. It has been shown that the method can give satisfactory results for thin rectangular plates where the other methods is difficult to be applied.
