  • This Paper presents circuit improvement of 345kV Bus bar protection panel by using VDD (Voltage disturbance detection) relay with distinctive ability between human error in the field test and real facility faults. Therefore, We expect that this improvement of circuit helps decrease of blackout coming from human error.   • Available transfer capability(ATC) quantifies the viable increase in real power transfer from one point to another in a power system. ATC calculation has predominantly focussed on steady-state viability. In many power systems, point-to-point transfer is not restricted by steady-state limits, but by undesirable dynamic behavior following large disturbance. In this paper, an energy function method for transient stability ATC computation is proposed, which utilizes a between the potential energy and energy function.

  • In this study, a controller which has a feedforward controller and two additional PI integrators was designed. But if a controller is used by only the integration of a feedforward controller and two additional PI integrators, the capability of a controller will decrease because the decoupling terms of current is feedback as the disturbance. Therefore the feedforward method with the decoupling compensation was proposed. The two additional PI integrators were replaced by two decoupling terms to simplify the calculation. The simulation and experimental using SynRM driving system were performed to verify the design of a improved decoupling feedforward controller.

  • Multi-climbing hydraulic robots are used to lift construction factory (CF) synchronously for applications in the automation of a high-rise building construction. In this study, synchronous motion controller is proposed for the hydraulic robots, whose strategy is not only to make each robot follow the reference path basically by sliding-mode control, but also to synchronize motions of two adjacent cent robots consecutively by cross-coupled control technique. Simulations are performed by using SIMULINK for a system similar to a practical application that includes unbalance in CF and wind disturbance. The results show that the proposed controller significantly reduces synchronous errors, compared to the individual controller for each hydraulic robot.

  • According to "structure-conduct-performance" paradigm in IO, market structure (concentration) determines conduct (R&D investments), and conduct yields market performance (ratio of price to marginal cost). Previous empirical studies on Schumpeter Mark I, II assumed that the explanatory variable (market structure) and the disturbance are uncorrelated in the R&D equation. In this situation, Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) estimates of the structural parameters are inconsistent, because the endogeneous variables (R&D and market structure) can be determined simultaneously. So, in this study, full information (or system methods) estimation is used to test Schumpeter hypothesis since joint estimation can as well bring efficiency gains in the seemingly uncorrelated regressions (SUR) setting.

  • A large satellite communication terminal on the truck shall be designed ruggedly against a disturbance for holding a position which satisfies communication performance. Especially. A design considering a wind is essential for getting into a communication with a satellite in a strong-wind condition. This paper suggests a experimental method to analyze performance of a radio wave and the aiming accuracy by wind vibration. And it analyzes the improvement and vibrational effect on a random-excitation of a structure caused by nonlinear strong wind.

  • In a high-speed and wide operating field optical disk drive, the vibration problem is one of the most important factors to be considered for reliable performance. And a disk misaligned with axis of rotation is a major source of vibration in optical disk drive. Furthermore, this vibration disturbance of the disk spindle system causes failure in the reading and writing process. So to solve this vibration problem, the vibration absorber using rubber mount has been introduced in recent years. In this paper, we have analyzed the simple optical disk drive model with dynamic vibration absorber through dynamic analysis of 12-dof by Recurdyn program and obtained optimal mass and frequency ratios of dynamic vibration absorber of dynamic vibration absorber and the optimal frequency ratio.

  • This paper deals with the issue of force synchronizing control for the clamping servomechanism of injection molding machines. Prior to the controller design, a virtual design model has been developed for the clamping mechanism with hydraulic systems. Then, a synchronizing controller is designed and combined with an adaptive feedforward control in order to accommodate the mismatches between the real plant and the linear model plant used. As a disturbance, the leakage due to the ring gap with relative motion in the cylinder has been introduced. From the robust force tracking simulations, it is shown that a significant reduction in the force synchronizing error is achieved through the use of a proposed control scheme.

  • Results of the dynamic simulation on KTX catenary and catenary-pantograph interface are presented. Simulation programs based on finite element and finite difference models of the catenary are developed, while the pantograph is modeled as a linear 3-degree-of-freedom system. The catenary motion dynamics are primarily determined by the transmission and reflection of the propagating disturbance wave at the hanger and span boundaries. On the other hand, the catenary-pantograph contact characteristics are primarily influenced by the movement of the pantograph across the hanger and span boundaries, the amount of damping present in the contact wire, and the resonant frequencies of the pantograph.

  • Currently, batteries use commonly as energy sources for mobile electric devices. Due to the high density of energy, the energy storage state of a battery is very important information. To know the battery's energy storage state, it is necessary to find out the open state voltage of the battery. The open state voltage calculates with a mathematical model, but the computation of the real time state is complicated and requires many calculations. Therefore, the state observer designs to estimate in real time the battery open-circuit voltage as disturbance including model error. Using the estimated open voltage and applying it to the state estimation algorithm, we can estimate the charge. In this study, we first estimate the open-circuit voltage and design an estimation algorithm for estimating the state of battery charge. This includes errors in the system model and has a robust characteristic to noise. It is possible to increase the precision of the charge state estimation.
