  • This paper proposes a Distributed Transaction models based on the multimedia framework (MPEG-21) in digital convergence environment. Digital media market is growing up rapidly according to the extension of internet and universality of multimedia contents. So, importance of the effective management with the production and distribution of produced multimedia contents is becoming larger. For effective management of multimedia contents, the multimedia contents which are represented with different standard each other can be processed adaptively in the variable network environment. A free compatibility among the different terminals and standards are the essential particular should be offered for the digital convergence environment. A multimedia framework supports this compatibility and various multimedia services. In this paper, the Distributed Transaction models that multimedia contents can be circulated among the individual users safely and freely are proposed and the relation technologies are described.

  • It needs to control each objects on various platform and transmit multimedia data to multiple receivers which are for developing a multimedia service with multimedia live streaming in a distributed environment. In this paper, we present a DLS (Distributed Live Streaming) package which support l:N multimedia live streaming in a distributed environment. Also, it has extended RMI which is a distributed object technology and JMF using multimedia transmission/processing. A java-based DLS package has been designed to separate a transmission and a control for more efficient distributed processing. It is possible to apply in development of multimedia service supported 1:N transmission and runned independently to any platform.

  • The requirement of distributed multimedia applications is the need for sophisticated QoS(quality of service) management. In terms of distributed multimedia systems, the most important catagories for quality of service are a timeless, volume, and reliability In this paper, we discuss a method for increasing reliability through fault tolerance. We describe the design and implementation of the ECA running on distributed multimedia environment. ECA is a system is able to classify automatically a software error based on distributed multimedia. This papaer explains a performance analysis of an error classification system running on distributed multimedia environment using the rule-based DEVS modeling and simulation techniques. In DEVS, a system has a time base, inputs, states, outputs, and functions.

  • In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of the FDRA(Fault Detection Recovery based on Agent) running on distributed multimedia environment. DOORAE is a good example for distributed multimedia and multimedia distance education system among students and teachers during lecture. It has primitive service agents. Service functions are implemented with objected oriented concept. FDRA is a multi-agent system. It has been environment, intelligent agents interact with each other, either collaboratively or non-collaboratively, to achieve their goals. The main idea is to detect an error by using polling method. This system detects an error by polling periodically the process with relation to session. And, it is to classify the type of error s automatically by using learning rules. The merit of this system is to use the same method to recovery it as it creates a session. FDRA is a system that is able to detect an error, to classify an error type, and to recover automatically a software error based on distributed multimedia environment.

  • Multimedia is now applied to various real worlds. In particular, the focus of CSCW(Computer Supported Cooperated Work) for multimedia education system has increased. DOORAE is a framework for supporting development of applications running on distributed multimedia environment and multimedia distance education system. EDA is a system is able to detect automatically a software error based on distributed multimedia. It has been designed and implemented for construction and experiment of effective DOORAE environment. It detects an error by polling periodically the process with relation to session. Conventional method detects an error by polling periodically all the process. This papaer explains a performance analysis of an error detection system running on distributed multimedia environment using the rule-based SES and DEVS modeling and simulation techniques. • Multimedia services in the cloud have become a popular trend in the big data environment. However, how to efficiently schedule a large number of multimedia services in the cloud is still an open and challengeable problem. Current cloud-based scheduling algorithms exist the following problems: 1) the content of the multimedia is ignored, and 2) the cloud platform is a known parameter, which makes current solutions are difficult to utilize practically. To resolve the above issues completely, in this work, we propose a novel distributed multimedia scheduling to satisfy the objectives: 1) Develop a general cloud-based multimedia scheduling model which is able to apply to different multimedia applications and service platforms; 2) Design a distributed scheduling algorithm in which each user makes a decision based on its local information without knowing the others' information; 3) The computational complexity of the proposed scheduling algorithm is low and it is asymptotically optimal in any case. Numerous simulations have demonstrated that the proposed scheduling can work well in all the cloud service environments.

  • This paper described fault tolerance system running on distributed multimedia. We implemented the error manager service so that the users participated in distribute multimedia collaborative work may refer synchronized error objects as the same view to others. distributed multimedia environment are based on IP-USN(Internet Protocol - Ubiquitous Sensor Network) and M2M(Machine to machine). This is a system that is suitable for detecting, sharing and recovering software error in distribute multimedia CSCW(Computer Supportes Cooperated Work) environment. With error synchronization system, a group cooperating users can synchronize error applications.

  • This paper suggests a multimedia educational system which has the ability to extract intelligent instruction on the distributed environment. The proposed system is designed for supporting individual instruction and real time user interaction. As the system based on CORBA, we put group managing module on it for multi user environment, so it has ability for distributed computing facilities. Using MHEG standard, we can provide multimedia courseware and real time user interaction. To diagnose students' responses and generate evaluations, we use several linguistic variables of fuzzy theory. There are two major advantages for using this system. This system can provide dynamic generation of problems and the ability to provide a dynamic instruction strategy. And it can increase reusability of courseware material for using standard of multimedia representation and communication. We use CORBA and MHEG to overcome the disadvantage of the Web, passive protocol and poor interactivity, HTTP.
