종이도공용 고광택 유기안료의 적용에 관한 연구 -유기안료의 종류가 도공지 품질에 미치는 영향- (Studies on the Application of High-Gloss Plastic Pigment for Paper Coating(I))

  • This study was carried out to determine the effect of the type of plastic pigment on the coat-ing structure and printability of coated paper. Three kinds of plastic pigments(solid-bead type binder type and hollow type) were used for hti purpose. IN this research it was observed that particle shape and structure of plastic pigment had influenced the rheology of coating color the state of packing and the properties of coated paper. Inorganic pigments used in this research were platelike kaolin clay and rhombic calcium carbonate. Three kinds of plastic pigments were blended with two inorganic pigments respec-tively. The combination of pigments were carried out(1) to determined the effect of particle structure of plastic pigment on the state of dispersion of coating color(2) to observe the effect of calendering temperature on the property of coated paper prepared with different plastic pigments. The data indicated that binder and hollow type plastic pigment gave the best results in improving the properties of coated paper such as paper gloss opacity and air pet-meability.

Ab initio calculation of half-metallic ferrocene-based nanowire

  • Half-metallic nanostructure is highly applicable in the field of Spintronics and electronic device technology. We examine the electronic properties of a ferrocene-based nanowire as a possible candidate for a half-metallic nanostructure using VASP and SIESTA. Ferrocene-based nanowire shows high stability in both binding energy simulation and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. The density of states (DOS) and the projected DOS of the ferrocene-based nanowire indicate that one-dimensional clustering of ferrocene molecules can be explained because of p-d orbital hybridization between iron and carbon. Half-metallic property and energy dispersion at the Fermi level due to one-dimensional structure is also observed from the DOS results.

  • In order to overcome the problems of existing low-dimensional materials (carbon nanotubes, graphene, transition metal dichalcogenides, etc) researches on new 1D materials have been studied. In the case of $LiMo_3Se_3$ and $Mo_6S_{9-x}I_x$, continuous researches have been carried out for 3D bulk synthesis and atomic scale dispersion. Recently, quantum confinement effect of $LiMo_3Se_3$ and bio-stability of $Mo_6S_{9-x}I_x$ have been proven and various applications have started to be studied. In addition, device application results using new 1D materials such as $Sb_2Se_3$ (optoelectronic devices using the property of effectively reducing exciton decay due to no dangling bond) and $VS_4$ (electrochemical energy storage using the space between 1-D nanostructures) have been reported very importantly. Therefore, it can be claimed that it has reached a very important time to find and synthesize new 1D materials and to report various characteristics not existing.

Micromachined Low-Loss Low-Dispersion Elevated CPW for High-Speed Interconnects

  • In this paper, 10$\mu$ m-elevated MEMS CPWs on various substrates are presented. Effective dielectric constants of elevated CPW(ECPW) on polyimide-loaded silicon or alumina substrate are examined and characteristic impedances are also computed versus elevation height. Dispersive property of ECPW and its electromagnetic field distributions are studied through 3-D FDTD algorithm for optimum design. Attenuation of ECPW is measured with TRL calibration procedure and revealed about 3.2 43 lower than that of conventional CPW on the same low-resistivity silicon at 40 CHz. ECPW on polyimide-loaded silicon with overlapped configuration reveals 0.2 dB/mm. Especially, alumina substrate imposes better attenuation than silicon.

Dual CRLH Based Band Stop Filter Using Conductor-Backed Defected Coplanar Waveguide

  • A band stop filter is proposed with cascading unit cells that are based on a dual composite right/left-handed (D-CRLH) conductorbacked coplanar waveguide. The parameters of the unit cell have been analyzed to confirm the behavior of each component for the equivalent circuit of the cell. We simulated the dispersion characteristics and energy distribution and have determined that the unit cell has a D-CRLH property. The band stop filter was implemented by symmetrically cascading two of the proposed unit cells. The experimental results for the band stop filter revealed a band rejection performance of 32 dB and a return loss of 0.35 dB in the stopband frequency range from 869MHz to 954MHz. Finally, we show that there is a good agreement in the experimental results and those obtained through the simulations.

  • The estimation of mortality characteristics of industrial property is an important adjunct to engineering valuation and depreciation estimation. Once the important of depreciation estimation is determined, it is desirable to understand the processes upon which these estimates are based. The Iowa type survivor curves are a set of generalized retirement dispersion models. These curves were based on analysis of actual retirement experience and represent typical retirement behavior patterns likely to be encountered. The retirement rate of Iowa type survivor curves on the semiconductor equipments in Korea industry was estimated by the life estimation process. In this paper, estimates of service lives based on directly observed data of the domestic semiconductor equipments are presented.

  • In this paper, a homogeneous dual composite right/left-handed (D-CRLH) transmission line (TL) is proposed by using a defected ground structure (DGS) on the ground plane. In order to satisfy a homogeneity condition of metamaterial, a subwavelength unit cell is designed by way of a spiral DGS and a meander stub. From a dispersion diagram, it is expected that the frequency bands for the left-handed (LH) property is 3.5 - 4.4 GHz. At 3.8 GHz in the LH band, backward propagating phenomenon is observed from full-wave analysis. The experimental results show that the proposed TL has a stop-band in 1.75 - 3.6 GHz.

  • 고밀도 폴리에틸렌(High density polyethylene, HDPE)을 수분에 민감한 전기전자제품, 의약품 등을 위한 하이배리어 패키징 소재로써 적용하기 위해서 높은 가로세로비(High aspect ratio)를 가진 Exfoliated graphite (이하 EFG)를 필러로 도입하였다. 또한, 효과적인 분산성과 혼화성을 위해서 상용화제를 첨가하여 HDPE/EFG 나노복합필름을 제조하였다. HDPE/EFG 나노복합필름의 EFG 함량에 따른 화학적 특성, 모폴로지(Morphology), 열적 특성 및 수분차단 특성을 조사하였다. HDPE와 EFG 사이에 화학적 결합이나 상호작용이 약하지만, EFG를 첨가함에 따라 수증기 투과도는 127에서 78 (70 ${\mu}m{\cdot}g/m^2$, $day{\cdot}atm$)까지 감소되었다. 특히, HDPE/EFG 나노복합필름은 EFG의 함량이 0.5%일 때 가장 효과적이며, 그 이상의 함량에서는 물성이 향상되지 않았다. 따라서, 물성의 극대화를 위해서는 EFG의 분산성 향상 및 HDPE와 EFG의 화학적 결합 등의 혼화성 개선에 관한 추가적인 연구가 필요하다.

지하매설 도시가스배관의 누출시나리오에 따른 사고피해영향분석 (Consequence Analysis for Release Scenario of Buried High Pressure Natural Gas Pipeline)

  • 인구가 밀집되어 있는 도심지역에 매설된 천연가스 공급배관은 외부 또는 내부 결함으로 인한 가스의 누출, 확산, 화재, 폭발로 발생되는 재산과 인명피해의 큰 잠재위험을 지니고 있다. 사고를 미연에 방지하기 위해 정량적 평가에 기초한 위험관리를 실시하고 있으며, 매설배관의 정량적 위험성을 평가하기 위해서는 우선적으로 사고피해영향 분석을 통한 화학물질의 누출량 계산, 확산 분석, 화재 및 폭발로 인한 복사열과 압력파 계산이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 CCPS, TNO에서 제안하는 model 들을 통하여 실제 San Bruno 매설배관 폭발 사고 시나리오를 기반으로 천연가스의 누출량, Fireball의 복사열 계산을 수행하고 결과 값을 실제 피해결과와 비교분석 하였다.

알파술폰 고급지방산 폴리에틸렌글리콜 에스테르류의 계면물성 (Surfaces Properties of ${\alpha}-Sulfonated$ Fatty Acid Polyethylene Glycol Esters)

  • All the surface activities including surface tension, foaming power, foam stability, emulsifying power, dispersion effect, and detergency were measured and critical micelle concentration(cmc) was evaluated in dilute aqueous solution. The cmc evaluated by the Ring method was $10^{-3}{\sim}10^{-4}mol/L$ in case of monoesters, and $10^{-3}{\sim}5.0{\times}10^{-5}mol/L$ in case of diesters, respectively. Surface tension of the aqueous solution was decreased to $45{\sim}50dyne/cm$, showing the tendency that the ability of lowering the surface tension was dependent on increasing of carbon atom number in alkyl chain. Foaming power of all the monoesters was better than that of diesters. while foam stability of diesters was to the contrary. Emulsifying power of soybean oil or benzene was specially expected to be good for emulsifiers in industrial application fields. HLB values of monoesters and diesters evaluated by Griffin's method were in the range of 8 to 12. Dispersion property of ferric oxide was stable in the range of $4.5{\times}10^{-5}{\sim}5.0{\times}^{-4}mol/L$ in case of monoesters, and $10^{-5}{\sim}10^{-4}mol/L$ in case of diesters.
