Police officers' job satisfaction has usually been measured by quantitative methods such as survey. This research is the first attempt to interview police officers in Korea to find how satisfied they are with their job. Based on e-mail interview with fourteen police officers in Korea, the study measured the multiple dimensions of job satisfaction including work condition, relationship with supervisors and colleagues, personnel management, pay and benefit, and discretion. The results suggested that police officers' attitude toward their job and motivation of becoming police officers may influence their job satisfaction. Other findings and policy implications are also discussed.

The integrated school has an expectation of the total education environment in which has some problems as regional, emotional, teaching treatment, establishment equipment part because of the based relative establishments are abolished. The expectations are the educating effective rising, the reduce of the responsibility of the teacher, a smooth teacher placing and saving the educating estimate. As the new education course propulsion is raising the school and students discretion and expanding the way of educating, being close to the course of studies, the integrated operation is earnestly needed and such as these versatile background the small schools will keep on getting integrated. So, in this paper I'll object the need and purpose of the integrate operation and show the integrated schools that are now in use. Investigate about actual condition of the integrated school, so after these research I've concluded these things below about the integrated school operating.

Cloud computing is an internet-based technology, providing services to the virtualized IT environment, and allowing users to add or remove resources of hardware or software at their discretion. Since Cloud computing can construct virtually integrated environments out of multiple local computing environments, various information services can be provided by it. In addition, state organizations also strive to build the cloud computing environments due to the benefits of reduced costs to introduce the system and of reduced time to build and provide the IT services. This study suggests a web-based cloud computing system for the computing environments, to be applied for the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Republic of Korea.

The present study investigated socio-organizational variables which influence teachers' commitment to the organization. Subjects were 254 teachers of private kindergartens in Kimhae, Kyungnam-do, and Tongrae-gu and Kangseo-gu in Pusan. The instrument was a questionnaire developed by Rosenholtz(1991), originally developed for the study of the teachers' work place (the social organization of elementary schools) and revised here for Korean early education. The data were analyzed by ANCOVA. Results revealed that the most important variable influencing teachers' organizational commitment is teachers' job certainty, next is teachers' learning opportunities; other variables are teachers' career, psychological rewards, and task autonomy and discretion.

In this study, we made the high strength light weight concrete which was composed of the garnet minute powder to be the industry by-product in the YoungJoo region and the artificial light weight aggregate which the high temperature(1100℃) plastic process. The characteristic of the autogenous shrinkage had been considered about strength characteristic and the age passage In the following addition: The concrete's each unit quantity was determined 145,160,175㎏f/㎥.w/b and s/a was determined 30%, 43%, 45%. the each garnet's substitution ratio was determined 0, 10%. In this results, the compressive strength appeared greatly as the unit joining discretion grew bigger. The autogenous shrinkage ratio was increased rapidly until 7th day but it was reduced after 7th day regardless of the mixed factor. The autogenous shrinkage ratio which follows the change of the unit quantity and s/a increased together as the unit quantity and the s/a increases.

7차 교육과정에서 국민공통기본교과 수업에서의 정보통신기술을 10%이상 활용하도록 하는 목표를 제시하고, 2001년부터 연차적으로 실시되어 현재 2003년에는 5,6학년에까지 실시되고 있다. 이에 각 시도 교육청에서는 교육감 인정도서를 개발하여 보급하고 각 학교는 이를 학교운영위원회를 거쳐 재량활동 교재로 활용하고 있다 이에 초등학교 컴퓨터 검인정교과서들을 비교 분석하여 시 도별 초등학교에서 사용되고 있는 검인정교과서의 구성과 내용상의 차이점, 그리고 정보통신기술교육운영지침에 맞게 구성되어 있는지를 고찰해 보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다.

One of the most difficult tasks in pavement management information systems is establishing the links between performance measures of a structure and the design and construction inputs. In-situ pavement performance can be considered a response variable to many project input variables, such as design, construction, and traffic loading effects. If we are to fully understand the component of pavement performance and specify the inputs through design and construction specifications to achieve that performance we must develop quantitative relationship between input and response variables through a scientific, fully integrated Pavement Performance Analysis System (PPAS). Hence, the objective of this study is to design a database model required for developing an effective database template that will allow analysis of pavement performance measures based on design and construction information linked by location. In order to select the most appropriate database model, a conceptual database model (Entity Relationship Model) and dimensional model, which is believed to be the most effective modeling technique for data warehouse project, are designed and compared. It is believed that other state highway agencies could adopt the proposed design strategy for implementing a PPAS at the discretion of the state highway agencies.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the Nature-friendly program on children's Emotional Intelligence. The subjects of this study were two groups( experimental group and non experimental group). Each group consists of 30(8 years olds) elementary school children in Seoul. Examination of Emotional Intelligence was applied to determine the homogeneity of 2 groups. Experimental group received 10 Nature-friendly programs for 15 weeks from July 2004 to October 2004. After Nature-friendly programs ended, post examination of Emotional Intelligence was applied. The result of this research was as follow. When Nature-friendly programs was applied, there were significant differences in the degree of emotional intelligence in the experimental group. Children who were involved in nature-friendly program increased in emotional intelligence. Nature-friendly program was effective in the sub-factors of self-awareness, self-regulation, other-awareness, other-regulation of emotional intelligence.

While a number of Korean companies have undergone ceaseless restructuring to survive today's rapidly changing global economy, the brick and mortar industry has been exerting their efforts to enhance the productivity through the development of new products, quality improvement, cost reduction measures. At present, various risk-evaluation measures have been taken in the fields at the discretion of an enterpriser, though, the effective methods enabling quantitative analysis are insufficient. Accordingly, this study is intended to contribute to the synthetic safety manage -ment in the factory fields and to suggest the quantitative -risk-analysis system by introducing such safety-estimation steps as assortment of processes, pre-assessment of risk factors, decision of risks, counter measures against studied risks, establishment of remedies.
