A Study on Direct Cooling and Washing Machine for Energy Saving-Type Dyeing Machine (에너지 절감형 염색기용 직접냉각수세장치에 대한 연구)

  • Due to increase in production of the domestic textile industry, energy consumption in textile industry is still growing. Traditional dyeing machine has high temperature and pressure. Accordingly, it uses an indirect cooling system that utilize a heat exchanger to cool after the dyeing. However, this indirect cooling system consumes a great deal of water, takes prolonged periods of time to process and, most importantly, because of the condensing of the dye at the cooling stage requires further energy in reduction cleaning and washing process. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a direct cooling washing machine that replaces the traditional indirect cooling system to provide coolant into the dyeing machine. The newly proposed direct cooling washing machine will still use parts of the traditional dying but will be able to skip the cooling as well as the reduction cleaning and washing process, resulting in less processing time and lower energy consumption. Also, we made a prototype. The prototype was applied to dyeing machine to test the direct cooling washing machine's ability and dyeing property. Additionally, we compared indirect cooling washing machine with direct cooling washing machine about ability, material and energy saving assessment.

A Study on the Mechanical Characteristic and Shear Strength haracteristic on Elapsed Time of the Western Sea Dredged Soils (서해안 준설토의 역학적 특성 및 시간경과에 따른 강도 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The dredged soils of western sea of Korea have been used as the fill materials because it possess the characteristics that constitute silt, silty sand and sand mainly. However, a study on dredged soils as the fill materials is insufficient. Hence, in this present study, the application the dredged soils of western sea of Korea as the fill materials was confirmed. Primary, the composition characteristics of the ground was analyzed to confirm the application on dredged soils as the fill materials by the piezo-cone penetration test. In laboratory test, it was performed the self-weight consolidation test for mechanical characteristics of the dredged soils. The direct shear test using self-weight consolidation test sample for shear strength characteristics was performed after self-weight consolidation test. Additionally, the mechanical characteristics of the dredged soils on elapsed time using self-weight consolidation test sample, which is drained naturally, was evaluated. The dredged soils of western sea of Korea show that unit weight and shear strength is increased as natural drain time elapses.

  • Under impact or blast loads, concrete behaves with different mechanical properties comparing to the static loading conditions. In other words, with high strain rate, mechanical properties of concrete vary significantly. To evaluate the compressive characteristics of concrete with high strain rate, SHPB(Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar) test is typically used. However, because SHPB test method has been developed for metallic materials, it is necessary to verify the applicability of SHPB for brittle materials such as concrete. Also, there have been little researches on the evaluations of mechanical characteristics of UHPC under high strain rate conditions. This study has been performed to evaluate and analyse the compressive characteristics of plain concrete and UHPC with SHPB test apparatus. Also, to verify the applicability of SHPB test for concrete, direct displacement image analysis with high speed camera was performed for the comparisons with analytical solutions for SHPB test.

  • This experiment was undertaken to determine the causative agent of dermatophytosis occured in the 3 common seals and a elephant which were derived from the Tae-gu and Busan zoological gardens. Direct microscopic examination, culture and pathogenicity test were performed for the samples obtained from the skin lesions of the affected common seals and elephant. The causative agent was identified as Trichophyton mentagrophytes exclusively in these cases, and the present report describes the first cases of the common beat and elephant ringworm.

  • Direct Current Fiber Reinforced Plastic (DC FRP) insulators were developed and their mechanical and electrical characteristics were investigated. Electrical tests were carried out to measure withstanding and flashover voltages under common use frequency condition. Tensile and bending tests were performed for the mechanical characteristics. The test results showed that DC FRP insulators had superior voltage resistances and strengths to porcelain insulators.

  • In this paper packet-swap Accptant Queveing system with synchronous single server and finite storage space is proposed for throughput improvement. Queueling systems are analyzed with Minisint Approximation reported by J.F CHANG and R.F Chang. Comparison between PSA. Queveing system and First-Come First Acceptant Queveing system via throughput and blocking probabilliy of test octet was performed The comparison showed that PAS Queweing system perfumes better than j.F ChANG’s Queveing system.

  • High Xe-content PDP characteristics are discussed. A high efficacy, up to 5 lm/W for a 50% Xe in Ne gas mixture, is realized in 4-inch color PDP test panel designs with low cost stripe-type barrier rib structures, that are powder blasted in soda lime glass. Furthermore, for a high Xe-content a high luminance can be obtained with a relatively small electrode area. Therefore the inter cell gap and the driving margin can be increased in a stripe-type barrier rib structure. Finally, for a high Xe-content the panel lifetime increases, due to increasing luminance and firing voltage stability. Clearly, these findings may direct the design development for next generation PDPs towards a high Xe-content

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a new proportional pressure reducing valve and to verify the validity of a new mechanism with pressure control pin. The dynamic characteristics of the object pressure reducing valve was studied by numerical analysis of the mathematical model. Also, static and dynamic characteristics of the new pressure control valve were tested with a testing system based on the test standard.
