Numerical Analysis of Characteristics of Cellular Counterflow Diffusion Flames near Radiative Extinction Limit (복사 열손실에 의한 소염근처에서 셀모양 대향류 확산화염의 특성에 대한 수치해석)

  • Nonlinear characteristics of cellular counterflow diffusion flame near the radiative extinction limit at large Damk$\ddot{o}$hler number are numerically investigated. Lewis number is assumed to be 0.5 and flame evolution is calculated by imposing an infinitesimal disturbance to a one-dimensional(1-D) steady state flame. The early stage of nonlinear development is very similar to that predicted in a linear stability analysis. The disturbance with the wavenumber of the fastest growing mode emerges and grows gradually. Eventual, an alternating pattern of reacting and quenching stripes is developed. The cellular flame temperature is higher than that of 1-D flame because of the gain of the total enthalpy. As the Damk$\ddot{o}$hler number is further increased, the shape of the cell becomes circular to increase the surface area per unit reacting volume. The cellular flames do not extinguish but survive even above the 1-D steady state extinction condition.

  • The purpose of this study was to look over the sharing and flow of information on tourism tourist destination made through social media by utilizing social network analysis. In this research for compared the exchange and diffusion relationships and made information sharing among users of the network group for the Seoul / Busan Tourism Twitter. The first part of analysis dealt with the network centralization and information dissemination patterns from a global perspective. The second part was an analysis of nodes with the highest degree centrality in order to identify the most influential user within the Twitter network and determine the information flow and user characteristics with respect to the information dissemination pattern in Seoul/Busan tourism Twitter. The results scientific evidence was presented that social media users' information search behavior information to understand the sharing and spreading patterns, social media as a marketing tool, simple products and services that will ultimately provide the desired information detainee information is not a means of promoting utilization was presented.

Effects Water Stress on Physiological Traits at Various Growth Stages of Rice

  • The object of this study was to determine the difference of the time course changes of transpiration, diffusion resistance and photosynthetic rate of rice at several different growth stages subjected to soil moisture stress (SMS) and recovery by irrigation. A japonica rice cultivar 'Dongjinbyeo', was grown under flooded condition in a plastic container filled with silty loam soil. At 5 main growth stages, the container was treated by SMS until initial wilting point (IWP) and then reirrigated. The duration of SMS until IWP were the longest, 13 days for tillering stage, and the shortest, 7 days for panicle initiation and meiosis stage. The transpiration rate rapidly decreased during SMS and the transpiration rate at IWP of the stressed plant showed 10∼20% compared with control, and the transpiration rate of stressed plant at most growth stages also recovered rapidly after irrigation and then reached 100% of control within a week. The shoot photosynthetic rate in all growth stages rapidly decreased by SMS, and the rates at IWP of stressed plants were de-creased nearly to 0%, beside the treatment at tillering stage. The recovery degree of photosynthetic rate by irrigation ranged from 20 to 90%, showed higher at early growth stages of SMS treatment than that of later stages. At all growth stages the leaf diffusion resistance of stressed plants was over 3 times that of the control resulting from a rapid increase at 3 to 5 days after draining for SMS, and showed quick recovery by irrigation within 3 days after drainage. The above physiological parameters changed in close relation with the decrease of the soil matric potential after SMS. These results indicate that at all main growth stages of rice plants the transpiration and photosynthesis reduction by stomatal closure reponded sensitively to the first stage of SMS closely related with decrease of soil water potential, while those recovery pattern and recovered degree by irrigation are little different by growth stage of rice.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the pattern distribution of the odorous compounds and air pollutants from the inventory sources in the Cheon-an second industrial complex. Twelve analysis including specified odor materials and air pollutants were concurrently measured during the month of August, 2005 to evalaute odor emission characterization in m3;or treatment facilities. Also, Concentration of air pollutants has been calculated by ISCST3 in ISC3 models. A Korean air diffusion modeling software, Air Master, was developed on a basis of diffusion theories adopted in U.S. EPA's ISC3 model to assess the air quality impact from the stacks. This investigation will be executed how large the complex pollutant sources such as industrial complex contribute to atmospheric environment and air quality of the surrounding the area as predicting by comparing and analyzing results of odorous compounds and air pollutants diffusion concentration model.

  • Recently Korean film industry has continuously experienced a rapid growth and expanded its influence to foreign countries. Accordingly, there have been numerous studies in various research areas to investigate the characteristics of the industry. In this study, we applied social network analysis based on the attributes such as genres, ratings, distributors, nationalities, sizes, and profitability to divide the movies into several clusters with respect to their similarity. Results suggested that the ratings and nationality rather than the genre are the major factors to divide the motion picture market into clusters and the profitability also varies much across the clusters. Furthermore, estimation of the diffusion model showed the positive relationship between the success of a movie and the word-of-mouth effect, while the relatively unsuccessful titles exhibited a monotonic decreasing diffusion pattern with the high initial demand and the early peak time.

  • P+N and P+NN+ solar cells with the area of 3.36 $\textrm{cm}^2$ were fabricated by thermal diffusion. Under the light intensity of 100 mW/$\textrm{cm}^2$, total area(active area) conversion efficiency was 13.4%(14.7%) for P+N cell fabricated by 15 min boron predeposition at 94$0^{\circ}C$ and 20 min annealing at 80$0^{\circ}C$, and 14.3%(15.6%) for P+NN+ cell processed by 15 min boron predeposition at 94$0^{\circ}C$ and 50 min annealing at 80$0^{\circ}C$ after 20 min back phosphorus diffusion at 1,05$0^{\circ}C$. The minority carrier lifetime in bulk of P+NN+ cells was increased about 2~3 times comparing with P+N cells because of guttering and BSF effect due to back phosphorus doping. The methods used for efficiency improvement were AR coating, Ag electroplating, back doping and fine grid pattern as well as the control of front doping profile.

  • $n^{+}$-p homojunction InP diodes were fabricated using thermal diffusion of Sulfur into p-type InP substrates(Zn doped, LEC grown, p=2.3${\times}$10$^{16}$c $m^{-3}$). The Sulfur diffusion was carried out at 550$^{\circ}C$, 600$^{\circ}C$, 700$^{\circ}C$ for 4 hours in a sealed quartz ampule(~2ml in volume) containing 5mg I $n_2$ $S_3$ and Img of red phosphorus. The formed junction depth was below 0.5$\mu\textrm{m}$. After the removal of diffused layer on the rear surface of the wafer, the beak ohmic contacts to the p-side were made with a vacuum evaporation of An-Zn(2%) followed by an annealing at 450$^{\circ}C$ for 5 minutes in flowing Ar gas. The front contacts were made with a vacuum evaporation of Au-Ge(12%) followed by an annealing at 500$^{\circ}C$ for 3 minutes in flowing Ar gas. The remarkable sprctral response of the cells obtained at the region of 6000-8000${\AA}$ region. The open circuit voltage $V_{oc}$ , short circuit current density $J_{sc}$ , fill factor and conversion efficiency η of the fabricated pattern solar cells(diffusion condition : at 700$^{\circ}C$ for 4 hours) were 0.660V, 14.04㎃/$\textrm{cm}^2$, 0.6536 and 10.09%, respectively.y.

EVALUATION OF THERMAL DIFFUSION IN LOWER End PRIMARY MOLAR WITH THERMOGRAPHY AND FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS (Thermography와 유한요소분석법을 이용한 하악 제2유구치의 열확산도 평가)

  • It is not a rare occasion that certain dental procedures involving tooth reduction being peformed under inadequate water cooling due to a variety of reasons. This situation could possibly inflict the critical insult to the pulpal tissue of indicated tooth. The purpose of this experiment was to study the pattern of diffusion of external heat produced during routine dental procedures into the pulpal tissue. 30 stone blocks containing three lower second primary molars were used for certain restorative procedures and the temperature of the indicated tooth surface was measured by thermography(Inframetrics 600) and further used as a baseline data for the finite element analysis model fabrication designed in order to evaluate the pattern of thermal diffusion. The ranges of highest surface temperature measured from several dental procedures under water cooling and non-water cooling were $30.8^{\circ}C{\sim}43.6^{\circ}C$ and $51.2^{\circ}C{\sim}103.4^{\circ}C$ respectively. Among procedures studied, crown preparation showed the highest value and amalgam removal showed the lowest. Comparisons between data measured under water cooling and non-water cooling conditions have shown the statistically significant difference(p<0.05). All the non-cooling conditions have shown the relatively larger increment of temperature change at the pulp horn area than the cooling conditions. The results of this study strongly indicate that the water coolant is the essential element in restorative procedures for the maintenance of healthy pulp. Further related studies involving more procedures and conditions are recommended.

One Boundary Diffusion Model Analysis on Distributions of Eye Fixation Durations in Reading; Eye Movement Tracking Study (우리글 읽기에서 나타난 성인과 청소년의 고정시간 분포분석과 단일경계 확산모형 제안)

  • The aim of this study was to analyze word frequency effects on eye fixation duration in Korean reading with a one-boundary diffusion model and to show how these phenomena differ between adults (20-28yrs) and adolescents (13-14yrs). We predicted that the drift rate parameter in the boundary diffusion model would reflect the information processing of the fovea during silent reading. Through an eye movement tracking experiment while controlling word properties such as the word frequency and the age of acquisition, Experiment 1 and Experiment 2 show that the information processing pertaining to words to be placed in the fovea is connected to the drift rate of the one-boundary diffusion model parameters. In Experiment 1,in the adult group, the mean difference in the fixation time in the response proportion between the presence of high-frequency condition and low-frequency condition in the adult group was higher in quantile 0.9 than it was in the 0.1 quantile, but in the adolescent group, the mean difference in the fixation time in the response proportion between the two conditions was not significantly in the 0.9 quartile.In Experiment 2, the mean difference in the fixation time in the response proportion between early-acquired condition and late-acquired condition in both groups was also higher in the quantile 0.9 than in the 0.1 quantile. The distribution of the two conditions in the both groups was positively skewed, and the difference showed the same pattern found in the results of Ratcliff(Ratcliff & McKoon, 2008). Based on the experimental results, we propose one-boundary diffusion model as a tool to explain word property effects and individual differences in reading. In particular, we suggest that the drift rate parameter in the boundary diffusion model reflects the information processing of the fovea during reading. In addition, the results show that one-boundary diffusion model can be used to predict the aforementioned phenomena in reading.

In-situ Analysis of Temperatures Effect on Electromigration-induced Diffusion Element in Eutectic SnPb Solder Line (공정조성 SnPb 솔더 라인의 온도에 따른 Electromigration 확산원소의 In-situ 분석)

  • In-situ observation of electromigration in thin film pattern of 63Sn-37Pb solder was performed using a scanning electron microscope system. The 63Sn-37Pb solder had the incubation stage of electromigration for edge movement when the current density of $6.0{\times}10^{4}A/cm^2$ was applied the temperature between $90^{\circ}C\;and\;110^{\circ}C$. The major diffusion elements due to electromigration were Pb and Sn at temperatures of $90-110^{\circ}C\;and\;25-50^{\circ}C$, respectively, while no major diffusion of any element due to electromigration was detected when the test temperature was $70^{\circ}C$. The reason was that both the elements of Sn and Pb were migrated simultaneously under such a stress condition. The existence of the incubation stage was observed due to Pb migration before Sn migration at $90-110^{\circ}C$. Electromigration behavior of 63Sn-37Pb solder had an incubation time in common for edge drift and void nucleation, which seemed to be related the lifetime of flip chip solder bump. Diffusivity with $Z^*$(effective charges number) of Pb and Sn were strongly affect the electromigration-induced major diffusion element in SnPb solder by temperature, respectively.
