Eulsook-do's Change in Leisure Pattern by the Pre- and Post-Construction of Estuary Dike in the Coastal Area

  • The purpose of this study is the assessment of changes in the leisure patterns of users of the Eulsook-do before and after the estuary dike construction. The following survey research method was conducted to implement the study, sampling by age was carried out selectively and randomly alike. A total of 319 persons were chosen for final analysis, excluding questionnaires answered found to be inappropriate. To measure the image of the lower Nakdong River around the Eulsook-do, with advice sought from experts, researchers, through several pilot tests, developed a 24-item semantic differential scale(SDS) that has two bi-polar adjectives at each end Study of the pre- and post- construction images of the Eulsook-do located on the coast of Busan suggests the dike construction has brought about negative changes in the Eulsook-do's overall image. There can be two alternatives for improving the negative image: restoration and development.

  • 본 논문에서는 동영상 압축에 핵심 기술인 이동정보량추정에 있어 새로운 가변블럭정함 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 이동정보량 추정에 있어서 고려되어야 할 실시간 처리와 정확한 운동벡터를 구하기 위해 연속된 두 프레임 영상을 이용하여 차영상을 구하고 이 차영상에서 나타난 윤곽정보를 2진화하여 윤곽의 포함정도에 따라 블록의 활동도를 정의하고 이 활동도에 따라 움직임이 많은 부분은 퀘드트리를 적용하여 보다 정확한 운동백터를 구하였다. 컴퓨터 모의실험으로 다른 고속블럭매칭 알고리즘과 PSNR과 계산량을 비교하여 제안된 알고리즘의 우수함을 입증하였다.

  • Container terminal automation might offer many potential benefits, such as increased productivity, reduced cost, and improved safety. Autonomous trucks can lead to more efficient container transport. A robust lane detection method is proposed using score-based generative modeling through stochastic differential equations for image-to-image translation. Image processing techniques are combined with Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) to ensure lane positioning robustness. The proposed method is validated by a dataset collected from the port terminals under different environmental conditions and tested the robustness of the lane detection method with stochastic noise.

복식색과 색조합의 이미지 지각(제2 보)-여자 한복의 상.하 색조합 효과를 중심으로- (A Visual Image Perception of Clothing Colors, Color combinations of Korean Traditional Dress for Woman(Part 2))

  • The purposes of the study were to analyse the colors and, color combinations effect on the image perception using gestalt theory. The research method was a quasi-experimental with a between subjects design. The experimental materials developed for the study were a set of stimuli and a response scale. The stimuli was consisted of 17 drawings of females wearing Korean traditional dress, by using CAD simulation. A response scale consisted of semantic differential scales. The subjects were 1138 undergraduate students of Taejon city, Chungnam province and Chungbuk province. Their responses to the semantic differential scales were analyzed using factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncans multiple range test. Results were as follows; 1) The colors effect of blouse was significantly greater than the effect of skirt, and no interaction effect was found between blouse colors and skirt colors. 2) In bi-color combination dress set, the combined image of the two colors were compared to the image of the two mono color sets: No single principle was found, however, salient color (such as yellow) and unattractive color (such as green) seemed to act as central trait colors on the image perception. On conclusion the visual image of Korean traditional dress wearer was affected by central trait colors in bi-color combination, and this results support the gestalt theory with central traits.

Image Denoising Based on Adaptive Fractional Order Anisotropic Diffusion

  • Recently, the method based on fractional order partial differential equation has been used in image processing. Usually, the optional order of fractional differentiation is determined by a lot of experiments. In this paper, a denoising model is proposed based on adaptive fractional order anisotropic diffusion. In the proposed model, the complexity of the local image texture is reflected by the local variance, and the order of the fractional differentiation is determined adaptively. In the process of the adaptive fractional order model, the discrete Fourier transform is applied to compute the fractional order difference as well as the dynamic evolution process. Experimental results show that the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and structural similarity index measurement (SSIM) of the proposed image denoising algorithm is better than that of other some algorithms. The proposed algorithm not only can keep the detailed image information and edge information, but also obtain a good visual effect.

  • We have already developed EMI reducing techniques using lossless compression by vertically differential EMI suppression method (VDE[1]). It applies lossless modulo reduction and data bit mapping optimization for low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) transmission lines, that reduces the probability of transient bit and EMI by 12 dB [6][7]. We also improved and optimized the VDE for low power LCD interface. With this modified VDE algorithm[8], the developed FPGA was measured the reduction of the power consumption of LCD circuit by more than 15 % compared to the conventional methods in the case of 14-in LCD with SXGA resolution. The VDE algorithm is based on the total image systematic approach. In the VDE method, the present image signals are subtracted for the 1H delayed image signals and transferred to a column driver through a PCB. As the vertical correlations for image signals are very high, we expected that most of the vertically subtracted image signals remain 0 level and transient cycles become very long. As a result, the power consumption and EMI are extremely reduced for the transferred image signals on a PCB. In this paper, we discussed our proposed method by emphasizing the fact that systematic approach are important based on not only display point of view but also total system point of view.

  • The purposes of the study were 1) to evaluate the visual image of colored Korean traditional dress for woman 2) to analyze the colors and, color combinations effect on the image perception using gestalt theory. The research method was a quasi-experimental with a between subjects design. The experimental materials developed for the study were a set of stimuli and a response scale. The stimuli was consisted of 17 drawings of females wearing Korean tradinational dress, by using CAD simulation. A response scale consisted of semantic differential scales. The subjects were 1138 undergraduate students of Taejon city, Chungnam province and Chungbuk province. Their responses to the semantic differential scales were analyzed using factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, 1-test. Results were as follows; 1) The image of the stimulus was consisted of the 4 different dimensions.(sociability, evaluation, visibility, attractiveness) 2) Clothing colors had significant effects on image perception of the evaluation dimension, visibility dimension and attractiveness dimension in the mono-color set. The blue showed the most positive image on the evaluation dimension, and the yellow and the gray showed negative image on the same dimension. The yellow showed the most salient image and the gray showed the least salient image on the visibility dimension. The red showed the most attractive image and the green showed the least attractive image on the attractiveness dimension. 3) In hi-color set stimulus, the perceived image was influenced by color combinations. The yellow blouse-the red skirt set showed the most sociable image on the sociability dimension. The blue blouse-the green skirt set showed the most positive image on the evaluation dimension. The yellow blouse-the red skirt set showed the most salient image and the blue blouse-the green skirt set showed the least salient image on the visibility dimension. And the red blouse-the yellow skirt set showed the most attractive image on the attractiveness dimension. On conclusion the visual image of Korean traditional dress wearer was affected by dress colors and color combinations.

영상 스티칭의 지역 차분 픽셀 평가 방법 (Local Differential Pixel Assessment Method for Image Stitching)

  • 영상 스티칭은 다수의 영상을 합성하여 카메라의 좁은 시야각(Field of View) 문제를 해결하는 기술이다. 최근 동영상 기반 Panorama, Super Resolution, 360 VR(Virtual Reality) 등의 콘텐츠 사용이 증가함에 따라, 보다 빠르고 정확한 영상 스티칭 기술의 필요성이 커지고 있다. 또한, 지금까지 필요 성능을 만족시키기 위해 많은 알고리즘이 제안되고 있지만, 정확성을 측정하는 객관적 평가 방법은 표준화되지 않고 있다. 최근에서야 PSNR(Peak signal-to-noise ratio)과 SSIM(Structural similarity index method) 측정값을 제시하는 방법이 주를 이루고 있지만, 본 논문에서는 PSNR과 SSIM 측정 방식의 문제점을 밝히고, 해당 방법의 한계점을 극복하여 기하적 유사성과 광도 측정 정보를 포괄하는 지역 차분 픽셀 평가(LDPM: Local differential pixel mean)방법을 제안한다. 또한, 본 논문에서 제안하는 LDPM(Local differential pixel mean) 평가 방식을 테스트 영상을 통해 증명하고 SSIM과 비교를 통해 해당 평가 방법의 이점을 밝힌다.

차분 간섭 기법을 이용한 지표면 수분함유량 변화 탐지 (Remote Sensing of Soil Moisture Change Using a Differential Interferometry Technique)

  • 본 논문에서는 차분 간섭 기법(differential interferometry)을 이용하여 지표면의 높이 변화를 탐지하고, 이를 이용하여 지표면 수분함유량의 변화를 알아낸다. 본 연구에서는 COSMO-SkyMed SAR 영상을 이용하여 DInSAR(DiFferential Interferometric SAR) 기법을 확인한다. 침투 깊이는 지표면 수분함유량에 따라 달라지며, 그에 따라 수신하는 신호의 위상이 변하게 된다. 지표면의 높이와 그 변위는 두 수신 신호의 위상차를 이용하는 레이더 간섭 기법(radar inteferometry)을 통하여 탐지할 수 있다. 변위 변화를 분석하기 위해 동일 지역의 영상 3장 중 한 장을 기준 영상(reference image)으로 사용한다. 동일 지역의 기준 영상과 나머지 두 영상은 각각 차분 간섭 기법으로 처리한다. 이 차분 간섭 기법을 검증하기 위해 실제 영상 획득 지역의 수분함유량을 측정하였다. 측정한 수분함유량을 이용하여 지표면의 침투 깊이를 계산하고, 차분 간섭 기법을 통하여 얻은 지표면 변위 정보와 비교 분석한다.

전처리 필터를 추가한 오차확산 하프토닝 영상의 에지 특성 (Edge Characteristic of Error Diffused Halftoning Image with Pre-filter)

  • 오차확산 하프토닝 기법은 연속계조 영상을 이진영상으로 생성시 우수한 재현성을 보인다. 그러나 표시오차의 특성분석에서 경계정보의 재현성이 다소 떨어지는 특성을 보인다. 이러한 경계정보의 재현성 개선하기 위해 전처리 필터를 적용하는 오차확산 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 전처리 필터는 원영상의 수평 및 수직 방향의 미분값, 필터의 가중치 함수로 구성된다. 첫째, 원영상의 수평 및 수직 방향의 미분값은 현재 화소를 중심으로 하여 $3{\times}3$ 인접화소에 Sobel 연산자를 적용시켜 얻는다. 둘째, 필터의 가중치 함수는 미분값의 크기를 포함하는 함수와 미분값의 부호로 구성된다. 제안한 기법을 적용한 하프토닝 영상은 경계가 강조되어 시각적으로 선명한 결과를 보인다. 원영상과 오차확산된 하프토닝 영상과의 차이(표시오차)를 환상 평균 전력 스펙트럼 밀도를 이용하여 기존의 경계강조 오차확산 알고리즘과 비교한다.
