Laser CVD법에 의해 퇴적된 OXYNITRIDE막의 특성에 관한 고찰 (A study on the characteristics of the OXYNITRIDE film deposited by Laser CVD)

  • Thin Silicon oxynitride(SiON) films have been chemically deposited using 193nm ArF Excimer Laser CVD, with $Si_{2}H_{8}$, $N_{2}O$, and $NH_3$ as the reactive gases and $N_2$ as the carrier gas. Experimental results show that deposition rate and refractive index have a strong dependence on substrate temperature, chamber pressure, gas ratio, laser power and laser beam height. Electrical characterization of oxynitride films demonstrates that for $NH_{3}/N_{2}O$ flow ratios ranging from 0.25 to 1, the leakage currents, the interface trap density and the capacitances (dielect ric constant) increase and the dielectric breakdown fields decrease

  • 2008년도 사고설비별 전기화재 발생현황을 살펴보면 전기화재중 전기배선 및 배선기구에서 발화한 화재가 2,540건으로 전기화재 발생 중 25.95 %를 점유하였다. 또한 사고전압별 전기화재 발생현황으로 220/380 V에서 화재가 6,320건(64.4 %)으로 전기화재의 대부분을 점유하였다. 전기화재는 단락, 과전류, 접촉불량, 트래킹 등 9가지로 분류할 수 있다. 이러한 전기로부터 재해를 막기 위하여 누전차단기나 배선용차단기를 사용하여 일부의 전기화재 원인을 차단할 수 있으나 차단기 자체에서 발생하는 원인에 대하여는 보호할 전기기기가 부재하다. 본 논문에서는 최근 실화법의 적용으로 일반적으로 전기화재로 취급되어지지만 보다 세밀히 조사하면 제조결함, 사용자 부주의, 설치 및 환경에 따른 위험성을 분석하고 전기설비에서의 화재 발생에 대한 예방대책에 활용할 수 있도록 연구하였다.

Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) Enhancement of Boiling Heat Transfer of R113+WT4% Ethanol

  • Nucleate boiling heat transfer for refrigerants, R113, and R113+wt4% ethanol mixture, an azeotropic mixture under electric field was investigated experimentally in a single-tube shell/ tube heat exchanger. A special electrode configuration which provides a more uniform electric field that produces more higher voltage limit against the dielectric breakdown was used in this study. Experimental study has revealed that the electrical charge relaxation time is an important parameter for the boiling heat transfer enhancement under electric field. Up to 1210% enhancement of boiling heat transfer was obtained for R113+wt4% ethanol mixture which has the electrical charge relaxation time of 0.0053 sec whereas only 280% enhancement obtained for R113 which has relaxation time of 0.97 sec. With artificially machined boiling surface, more enhancement in the heat transfer coefficient in the azeotropic mixture was obtained.

이축 연신 풀리프로필렌 필름의 전도특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Conduction Characteristics of Oriented Polypropylene Film)

  • In order to investigate the conduction characteistics of the biaxially oriented polypropylene film, several measurements have been carried out in the range of temperature between 5['c] and 25['c] as well as the field intensity between 10[MV/m] and 300[MV/m]. The whole range of the characteristics observed at 15['c] appears to be divided into five regions` the Ohmic conduction region due to ionic carrier below 40[MV/m], the region from 40[MV/m] to 70[MV/m] in which the conduction mechanism is attributed to Poole-Frenkel effect, the region from 70[MV/m] to 82[MV/m] in which the negative resistance characteristics are observed, then the region from 82[MV/m] which is dominated by Schottky effect and finally, the region from 240[MV/m] up to the point where dielectric breakdown occurs in which the mechanism is based on Flowler-Nordheim theory.

  • According to the increasing power demands for the power transmission of major cities, HTS power cables which have large current capacity and low power loss will be needed. In this paper we have studied breakdown voltage properties of paper/liquid composite insulating system for HTS cable insulation. And we measured the dielectric loss(tan$\delta$) of mini-model cable. From results, the insulation paper-ice composite insulation system is thought to be one of good candidate for the electrical insulating system at cryogenic temperature.

Characteristics of fluoride/glass as a seed layer for microcrystalline silicon film growth

  • Various fluoride films on a glass substrate were prepared and characterized to provide a seed layer for crystalline Si film growth. The XRD analysis on $CaF_2/glass$ illustrated (220) preferential orientation and showed lattice mismatch less than 5 % with Si. We achieved a fluoride film with breakdown electric field of 1.27 MV/cm, leakage current density about $10^{-6}$ $A/cm^2$, and relative dielectric constant less than 5.6. This paper demonstrates microcrystalline silicon $({\mu}c-Si)$ film growth by using a $CaF_2/glass$ substrate. The ${\mu}c-Si$ films exhibited crystallization in (111) and (220) planes, grain size of $700\;{\AA}$, crystalline volume fraction over 65 %, dark- and photo-conductivity ratio of 124, activation energy of 0.49 eV, and dark conductivity less than $4{\times}10^{-7}$ S/cm.

  • Si-to-Si electrostatic bonding was carried out by employing LSG interlayer instead of conventional Corning #7740 interlayer in order to improve bonding properties. The surface roughness and dielectric breakdown field of the LSG interlayers deposited on Si substrates were investigated. Also, the bonding interface, bonding strength and bonding mechanism were discussed for the electrostatically-bonded Si-Si wafer pairs having LSG interlayers.

  • The experiments were performed in model conductors under the application of ac and dc high-voltages. The results of an experimental investigation into the flashover characteristics of air dielectric strength in the presence of oil/gas flame are reported. It is demonstrated that flame can reduce by more than half, 80% in maximum the breakdown voltage of a model line. Taking a horizontal model line with a k=0.5, it can be seen from the results that the reduction of flashover levels, in comparison with the no-flame case, are 78.7[%] for h=0[cm], 59.6[%] for h=3[cm], 46.4[%] for h=6[cm], 40.4[%] for h=9[cm] and 23.2[%] for h=12[cm] when ac voltage is applied.

  • Occurring forest fire or burning bushes beneath overhead transmission lines have caused system disturbances in many countries. In this study, various tests in the simulated condition of power lines were conducted so as to investigate the reduction in insulation strength caused by combustion flame. The results of an experimental investigation into the flashover characteristics of air dielectric strength in the presence of oil flame are reported. It is demonstrated that flame can reduce by more than half, 80% in maximum, the breakdown voltage of a model line.

  • Dielectric strength of insulators made of epoxy composites rapidly decreases due to ageing to interfaces between the matrix resin and filler particles. The adhesion variation of interfaces caused by moisture absorption also alters electrical properties that are the basic characteristics of insulators, particularly, in out door use. In this paper, electrical properties of epoxy/$SiO_2$ composites were investigated at boiling absorption condition to observe that influence of moisture. The breakdown time of samples were measured under AC 6[kV] applied voltage, and the variation of lifetime was varified by using Weibull distribution function.
