Purpose - Value chain in agriculture refers to direct and indirect activities related to value-added process from raw materials to final products in agricultural industries. In recent years, value chain analysis has become more important in the area of agricultural development. This article reviews the concept and importance of value chain analysis in the context of agricultural development and attempts to suggest improvement strategies. Research design, data, methodology - A literature survey was conducted for value chain analysis for agricultural development. The case of agro-value chain in Cambodia was deeply analyzed based upon interviews with government officers and related experts. Results - It seems that agro-value chain in developing countries are not well developed and does not carry out appropriate functions, compared to developed countries. Because value adding facilities, such as storage, processing and packing plants, milling plants, and etc. are not sufficiently constructed, the quality of agricultural products is low. Especially developing countries may loose opportunities to increase value of their product by exporting their agricultural products as raw materials to neighboring countries. Value adding process is also mainly controlled by traders in local markets or wholesale markets in urban areas. Farmers therefore can get lower share of final value of agricultural products compared to the shares paid to traders. Lastly it is argued that governments of developing countries do not play an active role in developing value chains and do not carry out coordinating functions in an effective and efficient manner. Conclusions - The first step to improve agro-value chain in developing countries is to identify and analyze value chain structure of agricultural products and to make development strategies and implementation programs. For improving value chain of agricultural products in developing countries, it is required to provide not only plans for constructing hardwares, such as wholesale markets, storage facilities, processing and packing plants, and etc., but also plans for improving softwares, such as measures for improving product quality and safety, setting up grade and standard, providing market information, and nurturing producer cooperatives.

Purpose - In recent digital information society, the most important factor of to increase the firm value of the distribution company is not the activity to increase the sales through the general advertisement of the unspecified majority by purchasing the finished product, but to grasp the needs of the consumers and to develop a new distribution platform that connects producers and consumers directly through consumer-tailored advertisements centering on e-commerce. Therefore each company in the distribution industry is spending a lot on research and development investment to innovate the distribution technology and distribution system, and the research and development investment expenditures can affect firm value. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of research and development investment expenditures in the distribution industry on market value of the firm. Research design, data, and methodology - As a research method, the sample firms are those which are listed on korea stock exchange market from 2011 to 2017 and the research model is Ohlson(1995) model, which is a representative valuation model using accounting information. This study analyzes the effect of distribution company's research and development investment expenditures and advertising expenditures on market value of the firm Results - The results of empirical analysis show that research and development investment expenditures for developing new distribution technology and advertising expenditures for promoting sales in the distribution company are all positively related to the market value of firm. Therefore, in describing market value of the distribution company, it is shown that the research and development investment expenditures and advertising expenditures together with the net asset and net profit are the important accounting information that explains the market value of firm. This result show that investment expenditures on research and development for the innovation of distribution technology of distribution company creates intangible intellectual assets and increases market value of the firm. Conclusions - The result of this study shows that research and development investment expenditures for the new distribution technology as well as the spending for the advertisement in the future is a very important investment expenditures that can increase the market value of the distribution company.

The purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation index for evaluating the economic value of libraries. To this end, a preliminary evaluation index was derived from analyzing a total of approximately 60 domestic and foreign papers that examined the value of libraries. Based on the derived preliminary evaluation index, 11 experts were selected and the final evaluation index was developed by conducting the Delphi survey for 3 times. The final evaluation index consists of four evaluation areas, such as the economic value of the public library, economic revitalization, manpower development and job creation, and the improved investment value, seven evaluation items, and 22 evaluation indices. In the future, it will be necessary to conduct research to measure the economic value of public libraries.

This paper researches conservative value evaluation of rural tourism villages with "CVM(Contingent Valuation Method)" focusing on visitor to offer the guide for preservation and management in landscape of rural tourism villages based on critical consciousness for conservation and utilization by regional development. The option value is 37,624won(36.7%), the bequest value is 34,856won(34.0%), existence value is 30,073 won(29.3%), and overall average willingness to pay of conservation value is 102,517won(100.0%) for conservative value of sesim-village in Kyung-Ju. The results show that landscape of rural tourism villages has great value historically and culturally. In conclusion, it suggested that planners and staffs of rural tourism villages recognize that it is positively necessary to be considered not only multiple landscape index but also conservation policy in process of development planning in rural tourism villages.

The goals of this study were to development Natural Ecosystem Value Assessment Model, to suggest the practical applicability of the Natural Ecosystem value assessment for development areas, and to assess natural ecosystem quantitatively using GIS. The Model can evaluate Natural Ecosystem Value between before and after land developments. To select indicators for the model, we conducted the literature reviews. and six indicators and the standard of evaluation had been developed through the expert interviews and literature reviews. the relative importance of the evaluation index throught two times expert questionnaires was found out. the Natural Ecosystem Value Assessment Model has been established, The results demonstrate that although the suggested six indicators are arranged by priority, to maintain quantitative and qualitative the natural ecosystem value, all indicators are desirable to be maintained complementarily. The findings of this study suggest that the natural ecosystem value assessment model appears to be effective an assessment for damaged natural environment value and possible to assign a score value. Also, this model can be applied to research areas and has implications to help maintain the natural ecosystem in land development districts.

In this paper, the estimation of super retarding concrete incorporating mineral admixtures at the same time including fly ash(FA), blast furnace slag(BS) are studied based on maturity method. The setting time was retarded, as super retarding agent contents increase and curing temperature decreases. In addition, apparent activation energy by Arrhenius function was ranged from $24\sim35$ KJ/mol with slightly difference along with mixture proportion. This value is smaller than existing value $30\sim50$ KJ/mol. Based on strength development estimation. it exhibited comparable relativity between prediction value and measurement value. Therefore, this study provided effective strength development prediction value with super retarding agent contents and mineral admixture combination. Strength development prediction equation provided herein is possibly valid for estimating accurate strength development of the super retarding concrete at the job site.

This study aims to examine the moderating effects of environmental friendly attitudes between perceived value and loyalty in ecotourists. A total of 210 valid questionnaires were collected from visitors to Saemangeum and Sihwaho during 7 days. The functional value, social value, and emotional value were identified as dimensions of perceived value from factor analysis. Results from regression analysis revealed that emotional value and social value positively influenced loyalty. Moreover, environmental friendly attitudes were found to moderate the relationship between loyalty and emotional and social values. The findings suggest that policy makers and practitioners consider environmental friendly attitude and perceived values in making ecotourism programs to sustain ecotourism destinations.

The purpose of this study was to develop a valid, reliable instrument to measure perceived value for Taekwondo performance spectators. The perceived value scale for Taekwondo performance spectators was developed in eight phases. For the development spectators perceived value scale (1) literature review, (2) preliminary factors and items selected, (3) assessment of the items, (4) pilot test, (5) data sampling, (6) validity of development scale, (7) assess reliability of items and, (8) predictive validity of development items. Based on three processes, a new perceived value of Taekwondo performance spectators scale with six factors(cultural, social, hedonic, aesthetic, moral and utilitarian value) and 19 items were developed. The result of predictive validity of development items: first, cultural, social, aesthetics, moral of perceived value had significantly influence on spectators attitude. Second, social, hedonic, utilitarian of perceived value had significantly influence on spectators satisfaction. Third, cultural, social, aesthetics perceived value had significantly influence on future consumption behavior of spectators.

The interest on rural ecological landscape has recently grown on the part of policy makers for rural development. While considerable efforts and resources have been invested to preserve and utilize rural landscape, we still lack a systematic means to quantify and evaluate ecosystem service value of the rural landscape and management status. So this study suggests rural ecological landscape management indicator considering ecosystem service value. It consists of 28 criteria and 107 subcategories, which can be applied to rural village. And We have applied ecosystem service value assessment and resident's management status on three villages, Moondang village, Yonggye village, and Sesim village.
