  • A method to compensate a bias hysteresis error of the ring laser gyro using the rate of temperature is proposed in this paper. Until now, we generally have measured and compensated the error of gyro and accelerometer using the temperature. However, we utilize the measured values of the temperature dependent error elements on the temperature rate in navigation system level. We show through experiments that the proposed method can improve the navigation performance and be very effective.

  • Recent the free-formed architecture is smearing as a trend with the development of the digital equipment and technologies. The development of new method based on digital technology is required for the free-formed structure,, because the conventional construction methods are limited to shorten the construction period and to ensure the construction quality. Particularly, the development of the new method for the free-formed concrete structure is important. In this study, the developed method of the T-shape lightweight steel fabricated using CNC can control the geometries of the free-formed concrete structure based on the digital design. Also, new method is effective to ensure the precision of the construction and economic than the conventional construction methods.

  • As the more people use smart phones, the interest in the apps gets the higher. Studies such as App Inventor, app generation methods using templates provide app development process with app development methods by substituting programming work. However, the realm of producible apps is limited and there are a lot of set up operations and input informations. Also, there is lack of support for smart phone sensors that are in a high demand of utilization. This paper proposed an android app development method for resolving existing problems, and implemented an accompanying app development tool. When the proposed app development method derived through combination of function modules and sensor modules is used, it's possible to produce apps with minimal user inputs, and to use sensors easily. Also, because it is simple to identify overall flow of app execution, and functions addible to the app are provided for users by units of module, it is possible to develop apps quickly.

  • This paper describes a thermal image processing algorithm for uncooled type TEC-less IR detector which is applicable to fire control system of small arms. We implemented a real-time gain and offset compensation algorithm based on polynomial approximation from the raw dataset which is acquired by two reference temperature of blackbody from various FPA(Focal Plane Array) temperature. Through the experiment, we analyzed the output characteristics of detector's raw-data and compared IR image quality to traditional non-uniformity correction method. It shows that the proposed method works well in all FPA temperature range with low residual non-uniformity.

  • Objective : This study was conducted to examine the effect of vitrification on the survival and in vitro development of mice 1-cell zygotes. Method: Effects of exposure to vitrification solution and vitrification, with different concentrations of the cryoprotectant solution, were examined. The 1-cell zygotes were also subjected to a slow freezing-thawing method to compare with vitrification method. Solution composed of ethylene glycol (6.0 M, 5.0 M, 4.0 M) and sucrose (1.0 M) were used as cryopropectant. The experiments employed the method loading the embryos on electron microscope grids. Results: I. The effects of exposure in vitrification solution. 1-cell zygotes were non-toxic at all concentrations of the vitrification solution showing the survival rate between 88.1% and 97.5%. Development into 2-cell was more successful in the higher concentrations of the vitrification solution. Therefore, higher concentrations of the vitirification solution do not seem to cause any problems in vitrification procedure. II. The effects of vitrification method. 1-cell zygotes showed the survival rate between 78.8% and 92.4%. The lowest and the highest survival rate was observed in the 6.0 M and 4.0 M vitrification solution, respectively. 2-cell development rates varied from 77.6% to 91.3%. Blastocyst development rate was shown highest in 5.0 M and the lowest in 4.0 M solution. Therefore, the highest 2-cell and blastocyst development rate was observed in 5.0 M solution. III. Comparison of vitrification and slow freezing-thawing method on 1-cell zygotes. This experiment showed that 1-cell zygotes had the highest survival and development rates in 5.0 M vitrification solution. Vitrified group of 1-cell zygotes, in the 5.0 M vitrification solution, were compared with the group processed in slow freezing-thawing method. The development rate into 2-cell and blastocyst as well as the survival rate were higher in the vitrified group than in the slowly freezed group. Conclusion: 1. The results demonstrate that the best cryoprotectant is a 5.0 M vitrification solution for 1-cell zygotes. 2. Vitrification method significantly increases the survival rate of the 1-cell zygote and its development into 2-cell and blastocyst. Equilibration and exposure time during the vitrification was remarkerbly short in this experiment. Total time, from the exposure to vitirification solution to storage in the liquid nitrogen, was taken only 90 seconds. In contrast, the slow freezing-thawing method have taken more than four hours. Taken together, we presume that the overall time used for the procedure contributes to the results as an important parameter. 3. The loading of 1-cell zygotes on the EM grid is technically more simple and takes less time than the straw or cryo vial method.

  • A novel method for telemetering flight operational data of airborne jammer to ground station is presented. The design and construction of an onboard telemetry transmitting set and a ground receiving set which are necessary for realizing this novel method is described. Using this novel method, ALQ-X, airborne jammer, can immediately transmit the gathered data during flight without additional exclusive telemetry set.

  • In this study, we described the new developed method to simultaneously discriminate two herbal drugs of Artemisiae Argyi Folium and Artemisiae Iwayomogii Herba using eight marker compounds (1 - 8) on an HPLC-PDA system. The developed method was applied to quantify the major components of two herbal drugs. The pattern analysis successfully discriminated and evaluated different components between Artemisiae Argyi Folium and Artemisiae Iwayomogii Herba. Results were used for classification of different species from collected samples.

  • A city development has been focused on solving a housing shortage of city resulted from rapid industrialization and population increase in city. However, such a development has caused many problems in environment, economy, safety, and so on. In recent, therefore, a new paradigm of a city development is required, and thus ubiquitous city (U-City) concept appears. U-City development, which combines construction method and IT technique, creates a new composite space, and help people improve quality of life in terms of solving many problems caused by existing method of a city development. However, there is no guide to build U-City up to date, and most present U-City projects have processed following past method of city development. Therefore, an objective of this paper is to suggest an explicit procedure of enforcement design in U-City system.

  • We developed a novel Fame interpolation method to interpolate a frame between two successive original frames. Using this method, we are able to apply a double-rate driving method instead of an impulse driving method where a black Fame is inserted between two successive original Fames. The double-rate driving method enables improvement to the motion blur of LCDs caused by the characteristics of human vision without reducing the luminosity of the whole screen. Here, we report on the initial model of our frame interpolation method.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop Performance Based Design Method based on application of Fragility Method. Fragility Method has been used in predicting failure of structure due to seismic action, However, development of Fragility Curve based on material or construction for PBD is developed, This paper suggests that Fragility Method can be modified for PBD and can assess the performance of concrete material or construction.
