Objectives: This study aims to provide baseline information for health educator training, standards for university curriculum on health education and health educator training, and ultimately to help settling the national qualification system for health education specialists. Results and Conclusion: Based on literature review and professional taskforce meetings, we discuss: 1) Principles for course standards; and 2) Objectives and content standards for 9 required courses for health education specialists. The curriculum standards could be used for the course evaluation run by Korea Health Educator Qualification Management Office, and as a guiding principle for the development of courses and curricula for health education and health educator training.

After Yeungnam University's College of Medicine was established in 1979, the curriculum for a preclinical medical education course was developed and implemented. Several modifications have since been made to the curriculum which was driven by changes in national policies and in the medical education environment. In recent years, it has become necessary to complement the weaknesses or shortcomings in the curriculum that were discovered during the basic medical education assessment process of the medical college. Since 2009, Yeungnam University has run two medical courses: a 6-year college of medicine course and a 4-year medical school course. However, as a result of changes in national policy, Yeungnam University decided to offer only the 6-year college of medicine course with an entirely new curriculum which will be implemented in 2017. The new curriculum for the preclinical medical education course consists of 36 credits of cultural essentials courses, 44 credits of major required courses, and 2 credits of major elective courses. The curriculum development requires the support of the university and/or college, the ensured independence of the curriculum development organization, and the cooperation and attention of fellow professors. Continuous efforts are needed to check, evaluate, and improve the curriculum.

The purpose of this study is conduct development and assessment of the on-site customized education program in college curriculum with utilizing Living Lab. The development process is conducted in Living Lab's mechanism ; idea expression, setting agenda, actual activities, and feedback. The developed early education program is constructed four subjects, sixteen sub themes, and fifty three activities. For the assessment of the program, the satisfaction survey was conducted to sixty eight teachers who work for early education institutes in Busan, S. Korea. In the result, more than 80% of respondents answered that the program was satisfying. The study is meaningful as a basic data to utilize Living Lab in various subjects and majors in college.

The assessment framework of any edcational program is used not only as evaluation criteria of the program but as a guideline for development and implementation of the program. The aims of this paper are to develop and apply thoretical backgrounds and practical plans for the preparation of assessment framework of science education subjects in science teacher education program. The backgrounds, basic direction and practical methods of the study are described in introduction, and the natune and structure of science teachers competency, which forms the foundation of assessment framework for science teacher education, are discussed in section II. Current status of science education program m. the science education departments of the Colleges of Education is outlined in section III, and precise description of development pIans fat the assessment framework is described in section IV. Finally conclution and suggestions are presented, follow by a model assessment framework and syllabus for science education subjects prepared by applying the theory and plans developed in this study.The model assessment syllabus modified by workshops of science teacher educatorts is shown in the appendix.

In these days, as human resource development is emphasized in an enterprise, the importance of evaluation of the education and training which is the means to practice is gradually increased. Because people wants to know the effects compared to the cost of the education and training in several years. Therefore, in this paper, I testified to a contribution about the strategic purpose of the functions of the education and training and I represented several strategies to practice it Through these strategies. the department of the education and training is getting know that how much does the education and training affect a prodectivity and a profit in offering service. And I also represented that it can be applied soft system analysis in developing concept model of ways of doing things. This analysis explains detaily the job performance skills which needs in each constituent element of system. The education and training can develop the ways of improving the job performance skills. The job performance skills affect a productivity and a profit. Finally, increasing of a profit due to the education and training represents the contribution of the strategic purpose and emphasize the development of the program for it. The education and training have to be considered the development of the marketing plan. If the prefects of the department of the education and training help their strategic purpose achievement, other departments can be given the services offering the education and training. The education and training measures the effects, embodies them and needs to be more sensitive making datas of the success cases.

The rural development business policy of our country is seeking to change the existing top-down development method to the bottom-up development one. As residents' participation in village development is being focused, residents competence has come to be considered important. Thus, this study classified the village type by investigating resources of the target villages in Chungcheongnam-do through a rural forum, and examined education needs targeting the residents of the villages through a survey. The preferred the types, of education according to the types of farm villages were examined. It is needed to raise the efficiency of enhancing village development competence by regarding execution of the priority of competence enhancing education as a practical strategy. This also can be used as the baseline data for rural catchment typing research.

This study examined the effects of learners' job competency development on their vocational key competency improvement in lifelong education based on national competency standards. A survey was empirically carried out to 480 learners of lifelong education institutions in Seoul and the results were statistically analyzed. Covariance analysis was conducted to allow for external influences of lifelong education learners' educational environment in the process that verifies the effects of job competency development on vocational key competencies classified into 4 units, namely, mathematical skill, problem-solving skill, resource management skill, and communication skill. The findings are summarized as follows. First, all factors of job competency development had no effect on mathematical competency in the single dimension. Second, the testing of hypothesis 2 showed that education system(F=3.021, p<.05) and curriculum(F=6.684, p<.05) of job competency development factors had a significant positive effect on mathematical competency in the single dimension. Third, the testing of hypothesis 3 showed that only curriculum(F=5.865, p<.05) of job competency development factors had a significant positive effect on resource management in the single dimension. Fourth, the testing of hypothesis 4 showed that all factors of job competency development had no effect on communication in the single dimension. These findings suggest that the proper harmony of both education system and curriculum or all education system, curriculum and evaluation management in the combination of lifelong education support with teaching interaction can have a positive effect on the improvement of communication.

The purpose of this study was designed for the model development of curriculum of school health education including learning-teaching method, through analysis of results compared between a regular schedule health instruction and irregular health education. And this study is an attempt to give fundamental information for establishing of school health subject as the concept and scope of the school health subject is still not recognized and accepted satisfactorily in Korea. The data were collected by questionnaire from middle school girls and were carried out from 1989 to 1991. The major results obtained from this study were as follows: A Analysis of the case of school health. instruction 1. The responses of students about health eaducation : The positive rate of answers on the 'Health education is very important subject' was 91.2%, and on the 'I can maintain well healthful life : int of selfcare' was 87.1%. 2. The condition on knowledge, attitude and practice about health education: Education group had higher scores than comparison group about all most of questions, especially sex-education and drug abuse prevention education. 3. All the case of disease early founded out during the health instruction were children disease such as bone-tumor, lymphoma, hydrocephalus, and leukemia. B. Model development of school health education 1. This study is about open and secondary level Home Economics Education which is applicable to field and which includes the characteristics, purpose and problems of each open education, secondary education and home economics education. Based on the ideology of open education this study will identify the meaning of openness in terms of Home Economics Education reconstructing meaning purpose, characteristics, curriculum paradigm and curriculum. The instructional model and module which use web, will be presented as the results o the reconstruction works. The open instructional module in Home Economics Education which will be operated on the web is consisted of 1) setting the orientation of curriculum development 2) instructional model development 3) rebuilding the Home Economics Education curriculum 4)development of instructional modules and web-based materials and 5)construction of the web-site. Six instructional module begin with critical/emancipatory curriculum paradigm in open Home Economics Education use module as a unit of class management instead of 1 class, facilitates nest-type integration which is applied from open education keeping the nature of Home Economics Education and focus on practical problem and problem solving through reconceptualization with dialectical perspective on individual, family and society. The practical problem solving model has four steps: Identifying practical problems. Understanding the contexts of problem, Searching for solutions and examining its consequences, Action and evaluation. The web-site has to be developed based on the six instructional module includes those issues : self-identification for reinforcing autonomy and self-esteem, living with family living with friends, autonomous living healthy living and understanding sexuality.

This paper deals with the formation and development of hierarchical ranking stmcture among universities in Korea and the nature of university education. As the growing number of university graduates have trouble with finding job opportunity, the development of skills and competency which are required for the labor market is becoming the most important role for universities. Finally, I proposed several policy suggestions to overcome negative aspect of hierarchical ranking structure of university.
