While computer environments have been dramatically developed in recent years, as the building structures become larger, the structural analysis models are also becoming more complex. So there is still a need to model one shear wall with one finite element. From the viewpoint of the concept of FEA, if one shear wall is modeled by one finite element, the result of analysis is not likely accurate. Shear wall may be modelled with various finite elements. Among them, considering the displacement compatibility condition with the beam element connected to the shear wall, plane stress element with in-plane rotational stiffness is preferred. Therefore, in order to analyze one shear wall with one finite element accurately, it is necessary to evaluate finite elements developed for the shear wall analysis and to develop various plane stress elements with rotational stiffness continuously. According to the above mentioned need, in this study, the theory about a plane stress element using hierarchical interpolation equation is reviewed and stiffness matrix is derived. And then, a computer program using this theory is developed. Developed computer program is used for numerical experiments to evaluate the analysis results using commercial programs such as SAP2000, ETABS, PERFORM-3D and MIDAS. Finally, the deflection equation of a cantilever beam with narrow rectangular section and bent by an end load P is derived according to the elasticity theory, and it is used to for comparison with theoretical solution.
Background and objective: For effective horticultural education, it is required to develop kits for practice. In this study, we developed a horticultural kit for germination that introduces storytelling, characterization, and assembly, and investigated the educational effects of using it to study its educational differentiation and usefulness. Methods: First, we developed a seed germination kit for learning. It consists of three components: the kit main frame for hydroponics, the activity sheet for storytelling, and the instruction manual. It is made into an acrylic assembly in consideration of the ease of delivery for contactless learning. Second, we developed two programs, each using a germination kit for horticultural education (experimental group) and a general germination kit program (control group). At this time, the class consists of pre-questionnaire, the 1st and 2nd classes, observation log writing (total six times for two weeks), the 3rd class, and post-questionnaire. The experimental group and control group were separately executed. Third, the application results were compared and analyzed before and after class. As a quantification questionnaire, the effects before and after class were compared through t-test with a questionnaire on program satisfaction and attitude change toward plants. The quantitative results were analyzed through observation activity sheets and effects before and after the class were analyzed through t-test with quantification and language coding. Results: The effect of horticulture education using the developed kit was estimated by a quantification questionnaire. Both the program satisfaction and the change in attitude toward plants showed high in the experimental group, and this difference was statistically significant (p < .05). As a result of analyzing the observation paper with a qualitative questionnaire, various cognitive and affective expressions appeared in the experimental group as well as the contents of the observation paper. The number of syllables and various qualitative expressions appeared, and these differences were also statistically significant (p < .05). Conclusion: Compared to general germination activities, it was found that the germination activities using storytelling-based horticultural kits would be effective for contactless classes in the post-COVID-19 era and in increasing the educational effect of horticultural activities.

In the present study the newly developed CAD/CAM system is applied to the process of the molding design, machining for mini-sized and precise processive die, and the production of press-stamped parts. When the design of a die was completed by means of CAD, wire cut NC data were generated with the aid of a design drawing in the CAD system and then inputed into the wire cut machine, and with the aid of a hole chart which had been made for this purpose, all the data were classified into the categories of CNC milling, jig boring, jig grinding, and machine center, and then developing a program of generating NC data, errors in process were reduced and programming time was shortened. The program was developed by using Autolisp language which was built-in the CAD, and realizing the intergation of designing a die, generating and processing NC data directly by a designer, designing time and machinery processing time were shorted. And the traditionally required working time for design. NC program required 6 days of work becomes 4 days of work by using the developed CAD/CAM system so that the efficiency shows 150% of the reduction working time. The prpgram of the design of the automation a progressive die mold was developed in the PC-Class Autocad system, therefore development expense could be reduced, and the integration of the CAD/CAM of the progressive die mold with the standard DB being built could be realized.
KASS (korea augmentation satellite system) is an SBAS (satellite based augmentation system) that must ensure the performance of aviation service in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization's SARPs (standards and recommended practices) Annex 10 - Aeronautical Telecommunications. In order to guarantee the target service performance, the operating system must be operated, maintained and managed stably, and a maintenance system must be established for this purpose. From the maintenance point of view, the KASS subsystems were developed to consist of replacement units, and the maintenance organization and procedures to manage those subsystems and units were defined. In addition, the maintenance task for each the replacement unit was developed to ensure the availability performance required for the successful KASS operation, and the developed tasks were verified to sufficiently cover the activities to maintain the previously defined replacement units. The maintenance tasks developed through this study will be continuously verified in the actual operation preparation process prior to the full-scale provision of aviation services in the end of 2023, and will be updated accordingly.
Purpose: Health care professionals represent an immediately available resource to promote smoking cessation. However, the content in smoking cessation intervention courses in most institutions is insufficiently covered due to the limited number of class hours. The purpose of this study was to develop a comprehensive tobacco cessation-web-based, multimedia, educational program for a range of medical professionals. Methods: Based on Jung's Teaching and Learning Structure Plan Model, a development process was proposed comprising four stages: (1) analysis, (2) planning, (3) production, and (4) operation/evaluation. The effectiveness of the program was tested using quasi-experimental design, and the participants in experimental group were required to complete the program. Changes in the level of knowledge and attitude were measured. Results: The educational program developed includes nine topics and 26 sub-topics. A total of 180 storyboards, 15 videos, and 27 pictures were made. After the education, the level of knowledge was significantly increased in the experimental group. Conclusion: This web-based program can be recommended as a potential medium for health care professionals to use in counseling smoking cessation. The study findings also indicated that the program may be either offered as a teaching aid or utilized concurrently with lectures for students studying health care-related topics.
Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a simulation-based postpartum care education program for women with postpartum hemorrhage and to verify the effects of the program on postpartum care. Methods: This program was developed according to the ADDIE model of instructional system design, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. This quasi-experimental study used a non-equivalent control group pre- and post-test design, and data were collected from April 23 to May 4, 2015. To verify the effects of the program, 33 nursing students in the experimental group participated in a simulation program, whereas 31 students in the control group were given a case study. Results: The experimental group had statistically significantly higher scores for clinical performance (t=-4.80, p<.001), clinical judgment (t=-4.14, p<.001), and learning satisfaction (t=-10.45, p<.001) than the control group. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the simulation-based postpartum care education program for women with postpartum hemorrhage was effective for developing students' competency, implying that a similar program should be integrated into the clinical training component of the maternal nursing curriculum.
Purpose: The purposes of this study is to develop an educational program to prevent sexual abuse of children and to improve the physical and mental health of children by providing a rape-free environment and safety education. This program will provide parents and children with information on how to prevent sexual abuse in children. Children learn specific methods to avoid being victimized both at home and outside the home through a learning game and simulation, which is based on problem solving. Method: This program was developed based on a literature reviews, surveys and negotiation process. School- aged-children, parents, and teachers were interviewed to reveal their educational needs based on their experiences related to sexual abuse. Result: This program includes useful subjects such as safety education, early detection of sexual abuse, crisis management, resource persons, and phone numbers of available hospital. Counseling is provided by researcher or by a pediatric psychiatrist if needed. Conclusion: This program could be adequately utilized for prevention of sexual abuse of children. It also will provide an intervention strategy for abused children. This educational program was distributed to all of the elementary school through the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development.

This paper presents the development of the design of the robot element. Robot element design is an important part of robot design since it decides the performance and life time of the robot. It is necessary that the robot kinematics and the robot dynamics are accomplished to design the robot elements. The robot kinematics and dynamics determine the design parameters of the element. We developed a robot element design program with which a designer can design the robot element with convenience and reliability. The program is composed of motor, harmonic driver and ball-screw design. The program is founded on the virtual robot design program. The virtual robot design program is the powerful software which may be used to solve various problems of the robot kinematics and dynamics. The robot element design program may be used to calculate the design parameters of the element that are necessary to design robot element. Therefore, the designer can decide upon the available robot elements available to perform the objective of the robot. The robot element design program is expected to increase the competitiveness and efficiency of the robot industry.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine effects of the Permission, Limited Information, Specific Suggestions, Intensive Therapy (PLISSIT) model sexual health enhancement program on, and development in, sexual function, sexual distress, marital intimacy, and subjective happiness of women with gynecologic cancer and their husbands. Methods: The comprehensive program (4 session, 90 minutes per session) was developed based on the PLISSIT model. Participants were 43 couples, 21 assigned to the experimental group who attended the 4-week program, and 22 to the control group. Sexual function, sexual distress, marital intimacy, subjective happiness of the women, marital intimacy, subjective happiness of husbands were determined by a questionnaire that was completed by the participants before and after the program. The control group received the intervention post experiment. Chi-square test, t-test, Fisher's exact test were used to test the effectiveness of the program. Results: Post intervention results showed significant differences between the groups for sexual function, sexual distress, and marital intimacy in the women and for subjective happiness in the husbands. Conclusion: Results indicate that the sexual health enhancement program is effective in improving sexual function, lowering sexual distress, increasing marital intimacy, and subjective happiness in women with gynecologic cancer and their husbands.

The purpose of this study was to design a development frame for multicultural science program and develop a corresponding program using the frame. This study organized a development frame to design a multicultural science education program based on the culturally responsive teaching theory. This development frame consisted of the elements of purpose, teaching examples, teaching and learning methods, and assessment. This program consisted of the guideline for class teaching courses, reading materials, student worksheet, and teachers' reference materials. Based on this development frame, a multicultural science education program was developed, which was comprised of seven activities for elementary and middle school students. Each activity of the program included the concept and inquiry related to science education. In particular, by connecting the concept of science with the cultural characteristics of various countries, the activity made students aware of cultural diversity and the commonness of science principles. Compared to other subjects, the science education field has not actively undertaken studies on multicultural education. In term of dealing with universal principles, science education is suitable for making students aware of commonness. Accordingly, this gives rise to the need to draw cultural characteristics based on basic studies such as the analysis of science textbooks in various countries and develop culturally responsive programs utilizing the outcomes.
