In this study, an optimization for the production of water emulsion was designed by adding an extract of wheat sprout, which is known to contain a large amount of antioxidants. The central composite design of reaction surface analysis method (CCD-RSM) was used for the optimization process. The amount of emulsifier, emulsification time, and added amount of wheat sprout extract were selected as independent variables based on our preliminary experiments. The mean droplet size (MDS), viscosity, and emulsion stability index (ESI) were set as the responses to evaluate the stability of the emulsion. For each independent variable, the P-value and coefficient of determination were evaluated to verify the reliability of the experiments. From the result of CCD-RSM, optimum conditions for the emulsification were determined as 23.6 min, 7.7 wt.%, and 3.9 wt.% for the emulsification time, amount of emulsifier, and amount of sprout, respectively. From the optimized condition obtained, MDS, viscosity, and ESI after 7 days from reaction were estimated as 252.3 nm, 616.7 cP, and 88.7%, respectively. The overall satisfaction was 0.9137, which supported the validity of the experiments, and the error rate was measured at 0.5% or less by advancing the experiments. Therefore, an optimized process for producing an emulsion by adding the malt extract was designed by the CCD-RSM.
The purpose of this study was on the learning satisfaction of dental hygiene students according to the face-to-face and non-face-to-face teaching methods in the COVID-19 educational environment. A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 122 dental hygiene students of G University located in Gwangju from October to November, 2020. The general characteristics, instructional characteristics, teaching methods, and learning satisfaction were investigated, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0. The effective practical teaching method chosen by the students was face-to-face, and there was a significant difference according to the class choice. The learning satisfaction according to the general characteristics showed a significant difference in the preferred practice method for improving instrument technique. The face-to-face classes showed significantly higher learning satisfaction in terms of checking on doing well study during class and the convenience. In addition, as a result of analyzing the factors influencing learning satisfaction, the choice of face-to-face class was confirmed as a significant variable. Therefore, in order to increase the learning satisfaction of students, it is necessary to design a class that essentially includes face-to-face class when planning a practice class.
This study relates to a device that increases efficiency by reducing air bubbles in a hydraulic system used in hydraulic machinery. The reverse design and product production of the bubble reduction device, which is a commercial product overseas, was carried out. Overseas commercial products were set as the base model, a rotary rotor and an inclined rotor were added to increase the surface area of the fluid, and an annular equal distribution part with a slot in the lower part was additionally applied to distribute the fluid evenly. In addition, internal flow trends were analyzed and a system that evenly distributes the linear flow of fluid was selected as the first improvement model. Based on the first improvement model, a case where the angle of the inclined rotor is 45° was selected as the second improvement model. Based on this, as a result of setting the exit width of the annular equally distributed part as a variable, the bubble reduction efficiency was highest when the lower slot diameter of the annular part was 10mm. Finally, the system in which the average cross-sectional flow velocity decreased by 147% compared to the Base Model was derived as the final improved model.

This study aims to provide basic data on socioeconomic and social activities from the point of view that disability or disease accompanying the suffering of industrial accident subjects is directly related to individual socioeconomic activity and is a major variable affecting current health and daily life satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between pain and life satisfaction and to suggest basic data for economic and psychological rehabilitation of industrial accident insurance beneficiaries by linking factors affecting life satisfaction with industrial accident services. As a result of the study, it was found that workers' compensation insurance benefit recipients had an effect on their daily life satisfaction after becoming an industrial accident patient due to industrial accident pain. There was a positive(+) relationship between rehabilitation services and medical counseling services. Occupational accident pain lowers self-esteem, which is a characteristic of an individual, and even if current health improves, satisfaction with daily life decreases. The importance of industrial accident-related services can be seen in that the satisfaction of daily life is increased through rehabilitation services and medical consultation services. In addition, it was indirectly confirmed that satisfaction with rehabilitation services and health can be improved as a result of continuing attempts to improve self-esteem suitable for patients in various problems and situations after an industrial accident.
Health care workers (HCWs) are more than ten times more likely to be infected with coronavirus infectious disease 2019 (COVID-19) than the general population, thus demonstrating the burden of COVID-19 among HCWs. Factors that expose HCWs to a differentially high-risk of COVID-19 acquisition are important to elucidate, enable appropriate public health interventions to mitigate against high risk and reduce adverse outcomes from the infection. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to summarize and critically analyze the existing evidence on SARS-CoV-2 risk factors among HCWs. With no geographical limitation, we included studies, in any country, that reported (i) the PCR laboratory diagnosis of COVID-19 as an independent variable (ii) one or more COVID-19 risk factors among HCWs with risk estimates (relative risk, odds ratio, or hazard ratio) (iii) original, quantitative study design, and published in English or Mandarian. Our initial search resulted in 470 articles overall, however, only 10 studies met the inclusion criteria for this review. Out of the 10 studies included in the review, inadequate/lack of protective personal equipment, performing tracheal intubation, and gender were the most common risk factors of COVID-19. Based on the random effects adjusted pooled relative risk, HCWs who reported the use of protective personal equipment were 29% (95% CI: 16% to 41%) less likely to test positive for COVID-19. The study also revealed that HCWs who performed tracheal intubations were 34% (95% CI: 14% to 57%) more likely to test positive for COVID-19. Interestingly, this study showed that female HCWs are at 11% higher risk (RR 1.11 95% CI 1.01-1.21) of COVID-19 than their male counterparts. This article presents initial findings from a living systematic review and meta-analysis, therefore, did not yield many studies; however, it revealed a significant insight into better understanding COVID-19 risk factors among HCWs; insights important for devising preventive strategies that protect them from this infection.
Purpose This paper aims to prepare a full operational readiness by establishing an optimal flight plan considering the weather conditions in order to effectively perform the mission and operation of military aircraft. This paper suggests a flight prediction model and rules by analyzing the correlation between flight implementation and cancellation according to weather conditions by using big data collected from historical flight information of military aircraft supplied by Korean manufacturers and meteorological information from the Korea Meteorological Administration. In addition, by deriving flight rules according to weather information, it was possible to discover an efficient flight schedule establishment method in consideration of weather information. Design/methodology/approach This study is an analytic study using data mining techniques based on flight historical data of 44,558 flights of military aircraft accumulated by the Republic of Korea Air Force for a total of 36 months from January 2013 to December 2015 and meteorological information provided by the Korea Meteorological Administration. Four steps were taken to develop optimal flight prediction models and to derive rules for flight implementation and cancellation. First, a total of 10 independent variables and one dependent variable were used to develop the optimal model for flight implementation according to weather condition. Second, optimal flight prediction models were derived using algorithms such as logistics regression, Adaboost, KNN, Random forest and LightGBM, which are data mining techniques. Third, we collected the opinions of military aircraft pilots who have more than 25 years experience and evaluated importance level about independent variables using Python heatmap to develop flight implementation and cancellation rules according to weather conditions. Finally, the decision tree model was constructed, and the flight rules were derived to see how the weather conditions at each airport affect the implementation and cancellation of the flight. Findings Based on historical flight information of military aircraft and weather information of flight zone. We developed flight prediction model using data mining techniques. As a result of optimal flight prediction model development for each airbase, it was confirmed that the LightGBM algorithm had the best prediction rate in terms of recall rate. Each flight rules were checked according to the weather condition, and it was confirmed that precipitation, humidity, and the total cloud had a significant effect on flight cancellation. Whereas, the effect of visibility was found to be relatively insignificant. When a flight schedule was established, the rules will provide some insight to decide flight training more systematically and effectively.

This paper conducts an evaluation of the structural performance of the lap splice detail of SD700 headed bar experiment for developing an RC beam with different depths joint details. The experiment variable is lap splice length, yield strength, and end anchorage of main reinforcements. For all specimens, a headed bar was applied to the main reinforcement of the beam with low depth (B2), and the beam with high depth (B1) was applied to the main reinforcement with two splice methods: straight headed bar and 90° hooked-headed bar. The experimental results were that specimens of applying SD500 and SD600 had the results of flexural fracture at the lap splice location, which maximum load was similar. For specimens of appling SD500, the 90° hooked-headed bar of B1, suppressed horizontal cracks in the lap splice section compared to the straight headed bar. Specimens of applying an SD 700 headed bar had the results of brittle anchorage failure. In addition, maximum load was increased with the lap splice length increasing. For specimens of applying SD700 headed bar, test for test maximum load/theoretical load for test development length/design development length were estimated to be 1.30~1.48 for the ACI 318-19 equation, and 1.14~1.30 for the KDS-2021 equation. Thus, ACI 318-19 equation had conservatively greater safety factors as estimated development lengththened.

As regulations of emissions from ships become more stringent, electric propulsion systems have been increasingly used to solve this problem in vessels ranging from large merchant ships to small and medium-sized ships. Methods for improving the efficiency of the electric propulsion system include the improvement of power sources; the use of a system linked to environmentally friendly power sources, such as batteries, fuel cells, and solar power; and the development of hardware and control methodology for rectifiers, power conversion devices, and propulsion motors. The method using a phase-shifting transformer with diodes has been widely used for rectification. Power semiconductor devices with grid connection to an environmentally friendly power source using DC distribution, a variable speed power source, and the application of small and medium-sized electric propulsion systems have been developed. Accordingly, the demand for active front-end (AFE) rectifiers is increasing. In this study, a method using a neural network rather than a conventional proportional-integral controller was proposed to control the AFE rectifier. Tested controller data were used to design a neural network controller trained through MATLAB/Simulink. The neural network controller was applied to a rectification system designed using PSIM software. The results indicated the effectiveness of improving the waveform and power factor DC output stage according to the load variation. The proposed system can be applied as a rectification system for small and medium-sized environmentally friendly ships.

Respiratory infections such as COVID-19 mainly occur within enclosed spaces. The presence or absence of abnormal symptoms of respiratory infectious diseases is judged through initial symptoms such as fever, cough, sneezing and difficulty breathing, and constant monitoring of these early symptoms is required. In this paper, image matching correction was performed for the RGB camera module and the thermal imaging camera module, and the temperature of the thermal imaging camera module for the measurement environment was calibrated using a blackbody. To detection the target recommended by the standard, a deep learning-based object recognition algorithm and the inner canthus recognition model were developed, and the model accuracy was derived by applying a dataset of 100 experimenters. Also, the error according to the measured distance was corrected through the object distance measurement using the Lidar module and the linear regression correction module. To measure the performance of the proposed model, an experimental environment consisting of a motor stage, an infrared thermography temperature screening system and a blackbody was established, and the error accuracy within 0.28℃ was shown as a result of temperature measurement according to a variable distance between 1m and 3.5 m.

Student-athletes identify themselves as athletes first and students second and experience identity foreclosure in which they rarely consider other possibilities for their career besides professional athletes. There is a gap between the career education that college student-athletes and regular students get, so we conducted this study to test the effectiveness of a career education program. The proposed career education program was based on Super and Ginsberg's career development theory and Holland's career choice theory. Data were collected from 13 college student-athletes using a pretest-posttest research design and analyzed using a t-test. The program was conducted in the form of 90-minute weekly sessions over 3 weeks. The program's effectiveness was measured in terms of participants' stress from a lack of career information, career preparedness, self-understanding, and career decision-making self-efficacy. The results showed that each variable, except stress from a lack of career information, was significantly improved after the program compared to before the program, indicating that the program was effective. Theoretical and practical implications regarding career education for student-athletes are discussed in this paper.
