  • The purpose of this study was to investigate various expressions in textile design using CAD and present print design of '01/02 A/W. Four steps were taken in order to achieve this purpose. The first step was to investigate prior research and to analyze textile design methods using CAD. The second step was to study '01/02 A/W fashion trend, especially textile trend. The third step was to design the print design according to textile trend and apply the designed print pattern to real model. The research results are as follows: 1. Textile design is a very important field to help making fashion industry more informative and valuable. 2. Using CAD system in textile design will be very useful and urgent in saving working time and exercising design works. 3. In '01/02 A/W hound's tooth, zigzag, herringbone will be prevalent bold geometric patterns while tartan checks, multi color stripes will be popular too. 4. Textile designs using flower, stripe, checks, dot, abstract pattern were applied to real model, the images of patterns design are as follow, flower pattern-romantic stripe-avantgarde check-cute dotclassic abstract motive-intelligent.

패션디자인 개발 직무에 적합한 발상법 연구 (Study on Derivation of Creative Thinking Techniques for the Fashion Design Development Task)

  • The objective of this study was to derive a list of creative thinking techniques applied with the requirements of the appropriate technique for the task of fashion design development among the process of fashion product planning. This was done through the analysis of thinking techniques by the type of thinking and idea method. Also, the study presented how each creative thinking technique derived is applied to the task of developing fashion design. The scope of the study was 'Fashion Design Development Task', which corresponds to the design sketch of a fashion item based on the seasonal design concept derived through the fashion design planning stage. Research on the thinking techniques consisted largely of the process of idea thinking, the elements of creative thinking, the patterns and types of thinking. Four studies by Makoto, Michalko, De Bono, and Cox suggesting that the patterns and types of thinking techniques were analyzed for the purpose of this study as empirical studies through FGI of a group of five fashion experts. The analysis results showed that the thinking techniques suitable for the development of fashion design were derived from the technique of fractionation, attributive listing, scamper, morphological analysis, mind mapping, lotus blossom, pattern language, provocative operation, and forced connection. In particular, it can be confirmed that the scamper was treated as an efficient and practical technique in the many studies.

  • The elderly are more likely to experience passive emotions such as loneliness, anxiety, and depression due to decreased physiological function and low participation in social activities. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to seek how to apply biophilic design from a healing perspective considering mental health to the residential space for the elderly. Biophilic design has a positive effect on the psychological stability of human being and the creation of a human-centered environment that provides various benefits to people's health through the combination with natural elements. The method of this study is as follows. First, survey tools are developed by reviewing literature related to biophilic design and planning factors in housing. Second, we conduct the survey around mental health status and preference of applying biophilic design patterns to the elderly and pre-elderly. Third, we propose a plan to apply biophilic design patterns in houses based on the analyzed results. The biophilic design pattern covered in this study is meaningful in that it seeks clues, the housing plan to create healing environment for the elderly with the nature friendly view.

  • To improve urban safety there is an increasing social need for environmental design against crime, which is defined as the creation of inconvenient environments or situations for criminal offenders. By using a cluster analysis, we aimed to clarify crime occurrence patterns from the perspective of land-use. Osaka Prefecture was chosen as the study area because it has the highest crime rate in Japan. The results revealed that there are six patterns of crime occurrence, and that cities of medium-level of mixed land-use have the lowest crime rates.

  • Kohonen's self organizing feature map (SOFM) converts arbitrary dimensional patterns into one or two dimensional arrays of nodes. Among the many competitive learning algorithms, SOFM proposed by Kohonen is considered to be powerful in the sense that it not only clusters the input pattern adaptively but also organize the output node topologically. SOFM is usually used for a preprocessor or cluster. It can perform dimensional reduction of input patterns and obtain a topology-preserving map that preserves neighborhood relations of the input patterns.   • In this paper, flow patterns around two vertical cylinders were investigated numerically and experimentally Flow patterns between cylinders are very complex and interative. Changing gaps between cylinders the flow patterns are measured and numerically studied at a fixed comming velocity. The experiment has beeen conducted in circulating water channel with PIV system and manometer, and numerical analysis has been made by F.D.M. and multi block method. The results can be applied in the understanding and design of multiple pile array structures.

  • It is important to test the various kinds of interconnect faults between chips on a card/module. When boundary scan design techniques are adopted, the chip to chip interconnection test generation and application of test patterns is greatly simplified. Various test generation algorithms have been developed for interconnect faults. A new interconnect test generation algorithm is introduced. It reduces the number of test patterns by half over present techniques. It also guarantees the complete diagnosis of mutiple interconnect faults.

  • The objectives of this study were : 1) to find research trends on lifestyles 2) to analyze the lifestyle patterns of middle class residents in Seoul and 3) to develop a standarized instrument to measure lifestyles. Questionnaires were administered to 1615 homemakers in Seoul, The statistics with the SPSS software package was used for factor analysis. The major findings were as follows: the lifestyles of middle class residents in Seoul were categorized into six patterns : Fashion oriented Interior Design Oriented Economy Concerned Simplicity in Eating Hobby Oriented and Health Concerned. A standarized instrument using validity and reliability testes for lifestyles was developed.

  • The LED backlight can be designed to have the desired uniformity by using many combination of reflector patterns. The uniformity of the LED backlight can improve by applying the specially designed reflector patterns. In this paper, it was shown that the 72.7% of luminance uniformity of the LED backlight with reflector patterns was obtained by computer simulation.

가우시간 보간을 이용한 영상 패턴의 폭 측정에 관한 연구 (A study on the Width Measurement of Image Patterns Using Gaussian Interpolation)

  • In this paper, a method for measuring image pattern widths is proposed using gaussian interpolation, in order to improve inconsistent results coming from the different directions in image patterns. The performance of our method is evaluated using image patterns with 9 directions, and compared with previous methods. It is confirmed that the proposed method gives accurate and consistent width results regardless of pattern directions.
