The deck of steel box girder bridges is composed of deck plate, longitudinal rib, and transverse ribs. The orthotropic steel decks have high possibility to fatigue damage due to numbers of welded connection part, the heavy contact loadings, and the increase of repeated loadings. Generally, the local stress by the repeated loadings of heavy vehicles causes the orthotropic steel deck bridge to fatigue cracks. The increase of traffic volume and heavy vehicle loadings are promoted the possibility of fatigue cracks. Thus, it is important to exactly evaluate the structural behavior of bridge considering the contact loading area of heavy vehicles and real load patterns of heavy trucks which have effects on the bridge. This study estimated the effect of contact area of design loads and real traffic vehicles through the finite element analysis considering the real loading conditions. The finite element analysis carried out 4 cases of loading patterns in the orthotropic steel deck bridge. Also, analysis estimated the influence of contact area of real truck loadings by the existence of diaphragm plate. The result of finite element analysis indicated that single tire loadings of real trucks occurred higher local stress than one of design loadings, and especially the deck plate got the most influence by the single tire loading. It was found that the diaphragm attachment at joint part of longitudinal ribs and transverse ribs had no effects on the improvement of structural performance against fatigue resistance in elastic analysis.

This paper proposes the design of user centric pavilion information guide system based on mobile device such as PDA. which is composed of system interface factors as user wants. The suggested information guide system is convenient for user carrying because it is based on PDA mobile device and the used liquid browser system makes all data information displayed on a small screen in contrast with the other browser system. Indeed, factors of system interface can be re-composed by user interaction. And this system can effectively provide the detail information about the exhibited objects as various media data such as text, image, voice, music, video etc. The proposed system is made up of media database server. mobile system control server and mobile system interface which accepts user interaction and displays the information. Each system is networked based on TCP/IP and uses XML (extensible Markup Language) and JAVA 2 micro edition to be able to update data. This feature enhances a wide use to be able to load this system on the any mobile device.
Application of the soil nailing method is continuously extended in maintaining stable excavations and slopes. Occasionally, however, ground anchor support system may not be used because of space limitations in urban excavation sites nearby the existing structures. In this case, soil nailing system with relatively short length of nails could be efficiently adopted as an alternative method. The general soil nailing support system, however, may result in excessive deformations particularly in an excavation zone of the existing weak subsoils. Pretensioning the soil nails then, could play important roles in reducing deformations mainly in an upper part of the nailed-soil excavation system as well as improving local stability. In the present study, the analytical procedure and design technique are proposed to evaluate maximum pretension force and stability of the pretensioned soil nailing system. Also proposed are techniques to determine the required thickness of a shotcrete facing and to estimate probability of a failure against the punching shear. The predicted results are compared with the limited measurements obtained from the excavation site constructed by using the pretensioned soil nails. Based on the proposed procedure and technique, effects of the radius of a influence circle and dilatancy angle on the thickness of a shotcrete facing, bonded length and safety factors are analyzed. In addition, effects of the reduction of deformations expected by pretensioning of the soil nails are examined in detail throughout an illustrative example and FLAC$^{2D}$ program analysis.s.
First, we can define how our body perceives the external world and embodies its senses through the philosopher Merleau - Ponty. These philosophical orientations of Merleau-Ponty also appear to urban theorists such as Jane Jacobs, Gordon Cullen, and Juhani Pallasmaa. In other words, after the Second World War, people began to pay attention to human emotions and perceptions while opposing human rational thinking. Especially, they reject the abstract space of modernism and explore the everyday city space where the local character of the area lives. This place is a space where the collective memory of the group is shared over several generations. So, in this space, people's active perceptual system works actively. In the sense of this continuity of time, their ideas intersect with the concept of urban. Specifically, Jacobs criticizes massive development and proposes the development of a small block-based city with a commonality of old and new. In addition, we argue that urban space can be a visually interesting object through the continuous visual concept of urban theorist Cullen. In particular, he rediscovers the value of traditional urban space through visual experience between architecture and urban facilities. Finally, the architectural city theorist, Pallasmaa., criticizes the visual centrality of modern cities and thinks about the value of multidisciplinary space that can be experienced in architecture. This study examines the space of reproduction in detail on the perspective of the body philosophy and urban theorists. In other words, the play space inherits the natural city time, so when our body experiences this play space, we can actively sense and perceive the various senses. So we can invoke the active external actions of our bodies. Through the analysis of the size of the reconstruction space of the architectural city, various types of body senses and responses can be. Yoon Dongju Literary Museum, which renovated the old water tank of the city, can recognize the unfamiliar sense of body in everyday life through the traces and smells of water in the past and the restrained visuality. In addition, Seonyudo Park, which regenerates the waste water purification plant, can experience a phenomenal phenomenon through water space, old concrete and traces of steel. Humans process aesthetic functions of objects such as form, size, color, and texture through vision, while at the same time observe them with a symbolic function by a new psychological interpretation based on their past experience. Therefore, it is more important to study and understand the thoughts and psychological influences of how humans perceive with their eyes than what humans simply look with them. With this research purpose in the background, this study will demonstrate in detail the cognitive characteristics of analog and digital images as a symbolic function with a "formative" point of view. Five hypotheses were established, which were proven through the following tests: smartphone, most frequently used in our daily lives, is simplified to a two-dimensional line drawing form, which is set to instances where the R(radius) is applied to the horizontal line of the two-dimensional form of smartphone, where Run-in-R(radius) is applied, and R(radius) rounding is applied to the edges of those shapes. The shapes were combined to form 12 pairs, which was used in a test to the test subjects. As a result, some human characteristics were observed; in specific, some helped prove objectively how humans perceived analog and digital images as psychologically stronger as a symbolic function. If people's thoughts and feelings gained through such study could be stored in database as one value and be provided to product designers, I believe it could be developed into design form as a basic emotional design that consumers desire.
The purpose of this study is to compare conditions of Korean Restaurants in Hong Kong with those of Thai ones, which have already succeeded in globalization, by investigating and analyzing the characteristics of the two parties in Hong Kong, a world-wide international city. For these purposes, we selected 10 Korean restaurants & 10 Thai restaurants in Hong Kong, and visited the selected restaurants during the period from 2007.7.9 to 2007.7.14, to examine indoor spaces and food-related elements were recorded in detail, photographed and analyzed. The results of study is as follows ; we have first found that Korean restaurants did not show any humane properties linked to restaurant concepts and indoor space, did link Korean images through their trade names, and showed decorative culture based on traditional house and dietary-life cultural properties based on traditional Korean Bansang table setting at large. On the other hand, 4 (22.5%) out of the entire cases in Thai restaurants showed religious characteristics with strong Buddhist colors revealed, and all cases showed traditional Thai food cultures, from which we could find out dietary-life cultural properties. Second, whereas there were one case of Korean restaurants in which tradition was main and modernity was assistant, five cases in which tradition and modernity were paralleled in value, and two cases in which modernity was main and tradition was assistant, Thai restaurants had one case where tradition was main and modernity was associative, four cases in which tradition and modernity were paralleled in value, and four cases where modernity was main and tradition was assistant. This means that the Thai restaurants did not insist only on tradition, but showed efforts to transmit luxurious and refined Thai images to people from the world. Third, whereas Korean restaurants had to do with all kinds of menu, were equipped with brazierson their tables uniformly, and showed any differences because they did not use different tableware in accordance with foods, Thai restaurants divided the dinner into the hors d'oeuvre, the main, and the dessert or systemized menu structure by categories in accordance with cooking styles, and tableware selection in accordance with menus, table setting, food materials, and food styling using flowers were consistently expressed.

The development of information technology grows the society and allows the user to generate more information and the requirements. According to recent growing interest in digital convergence technologies, digital convergence can be utilized by a variety of methods as a new study. Electronic culture atlas would be digitized cultural information that represents a particular area on the map. In detail, spatial data like as point, line, and area can be used to represent the culture information. Using electronic culture atlas, also, it is possible to provide and utilize information which is associated with time, space(map) and subject(culture). Thus, electronic culture atlas could be used as a method for the humanities or area studies and spread research results by displaying on the culture atlas. In general, existing electronic culture atlas used bitmap image mostly as a base map. Using bitmap image, it is difficult to represent to provide three-dimensional information of specific area. Also, it happens problem such as breakage occurs during zoom-in operation. To solve this problems, we design and implement electronic culture atlas based on Google Earth which is three-dimensional map service.

Although some studies have been attempted to utilize 3D spatial information for fire safety and disaster management, it is still not enough to apply it to actual work. Especially, in case of multi-use facilities, many facilities are more vulnerable to rapid response in the event of a disaster due to complexity of facilities, diversity of usage, and specificity of users. In this paper, we propose a method to develop a 3D safety status information platform that combines 3D spatial information and time - varying safety status information for efficient disaster management of multi-use facilities. In detail, first, we analyze the use cases of existing disaster management platform and the needs of business users. Second, based on the analyzed results, target facilities were selected and possible scenarios were created. Finally, we developed platform architecture design and service development strategy. The research results will be used as a basis for future 3D safety status information platform development. This will contribute to improving the safety of multi-use facilities and minimizing damage to disaster vulnerable groups.

The purpose of this study was to develop the guided R & E program to improve science process skills of the science gifted students. First of all, we developed a guided R & E instructional models that enables students to conduct R & E through the third process from teacher-centered to student-centered, and developed guided R & E programs in accordance with the five-step process. As a result, it showed high average scores in the order of 'Hypothesis setting > Variable extraction > Derivation of inquiry problem > Conclusion derivation > Experimental design > Generalization > Evaluation > Data analysis > Data conversion'. In detail, among the nine evaluation factors, 'Derivation of inquiry problem, Variable extraction, Hypothesis setting, and Conclusion derivation' are at a high level, 'Experimental design' is at an average level, 'Data interpretation, Generalization, and Evaluation' were low level and 'Data conversion' was very low level. We hope that the guided R & E program reflected the elements of inquiry process will help students to improve their thinking ability and creative problem solving ability.

From 2019, software education has become a required subject for all elementary school students. However, many teachers are still unfamiliar with how the classes should be instructed. So this paper presented the meaning, detailed competencies and achievement standard in order to help in the collection, analysis and representation of data among the computational thinking that are key to software education. And it also suggested the applicability of the classes. The full course of the paper is summarized as follows. First, existing studies have summarized the meaning, detail and achievement standard of data related competencies. Based on this, a preliminary investigation was instructed. Pilot study carried out both FGI and closed questions at the same time. This was done in response to the survey's questionnaire reflecting the opinions of experts. Second, the results of the questionnaire generated as a result of the above were verified for validity, stability, and reliability among the PhD, PhD courses, software education teachers, and software education workers. Third, I developed and applied the five lessons as a class objective as 'Choosing collection method-Select the collection method according to the problem situation.', 'Searching for meaning of data-Understand what the analyzed data mean..', 'Using various expression methods-Use a variety of expression tools.' using the backward design model to integrate education, class, and assessment. As a result, the detailed competencies of data collection, analysis, and representation and achievement standard were presented. This may help in setting specific and specific criteria for what direction classes are recommended when planning data-related classes in elementary schools.
