The Effects of Baickbujasan Extract on the Skin Damage and Pigmendation Induced by Ultraviolet Irradiation (백부자산(白附子散)이 자외선 조사된 피부 손상과 색소침착에 미치는 영향)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of Baickbujasan(BB) on the skin damage and depigmentation. Method : The inhibition of tyrosinase activity, melanogenesis and cell viability in cultured B16 melanoma cells were measured. In order to test effects of reduction of melanogenesis, B16 F-10 mouse melanoma stem line was employed to extract melanin from cultured cell, where BB was added or not, and was dissolved in alkali for colorimetric analysis. Also, in order to test skin alteration in C57BL/6 after UV irradiation, the animals were grouped into a UV urradiation group and UV irradiation after BB application group. Dopa oxidase tissue staining was excuted to invesitage the change in the distribution of active melanin cell. The distribution of active melanin cell in inner skin of iNOS after damage from UVB irradiation and the manifestation condition of P53 which takes part in natural death of keratinocyte were examined. Result : The results indicate that BB has significant effects on tyrosinase activity, and melanogenesis in vivo test. BB seems to reduce C57BL/6, external dermatological damage, for instance, erythematous papule, eczema, loss of keratinocyte, reduction in pus, and relieves dermatological damages. Conclusion : BB can be applied externally for UV protection and depigmentation.

  • 본 논문에서는 의약품, 화장품, 생활용품에서 널리 사용되는 약물인 트리클로산에 대해 초임계 유체를 이용하여 미세화공정이 연구되었다. 낮은 임계온도와 임계압력의 조건을 고려하여 초임계 이산화탄소를 선정하였고, 초임계 이산화탄소와의 용해도를 고려하여 초임계 용액 급속팽창공정이 선정되었다. 본 연구에서 입자크기에 영향을 미치는 온도와 압력효과가 검토되었고 상평형자료에 의해 해석되었다.

Clinical investigations of canine superficial pyoderma (개에서 표재성 세균성 피부염에 관한 임상적 고찰)

  • Fifteen dogs with superficial pyoderma were investigated clinically. Dermatological signs were mainly consisted of papule (66.6%), pustule (86.6%), epidermal collrarette and patchy (40%), and hyperpigmentation (53.3%). Distribution of skin lesion were consisted of back (35.5%), abdomen (29.0%), axillary (6.4%), leg (3.2%), neck (3.6%) and foot (16.1%), respectively. In pustular cytology PMN cells and cocci were examined. Cephalexin was very effective antibiotics on superficial pyoderma at administration of 30mg/kg bid P.O. for 3 weeks. Hyperadrenocorticism and atopy were diagnosed as a primary cause on pyoderma in 2 dogs.

  • Supercritical fluid technology has been an alternative for purification and separation of biological compounds in cosmetic, food, and pharmaceutical products. Solubility information of biological compounds in supercritical fluids is essential for choosing a supercritical fluid processes. The equilibrium solubility of hinokitiol was measured in supercritical carbon dioxide with a static method in the pressure range from 8 to 40 MPa and at temperatures equal to 313.2, 323.2 and 333.2 K. The experimental data were correlated well by Peng.Robinson equation of state and quasi-chemical nonrandom lattice fluid model.

Two Cases of Diagnosis and Treatment in Canine juvenile cellulitis (Canine juvenile cellulitis의 진단과 치료 증례)

  • Canine Juvenile cellulitis was diagnosed in 2 puppies hospitalized in Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Seoul National University. Characterized dermatological problems were presents of scale, crust, purulent exudation and alopecia limited on their face. On cytologic examinations of direct impression smears for the lesions, numerous neutrophils and macrophagies were observed. No bacteria and fungus were noted. Treatments with administration of predinisolone and antibiotics orally combined with topical shampoo treatment had good results for the two puppies.
