Background : Many doctors are under a bias toward clinical severity in patients with atopic dermatitis. But the various studios show that atopic dermatitis may produce a range of impacts on the qualify of lift . Nevertheless there is much to be desired about the association between the quality of lift and atopic dermatitis in the department of Dermatology in Korean medicine. Objective : This study was conducted to investigate the impact of the atopic dermatitis on quality of life and explore prognostic factors that influence outcomes. Methods : 70 patients were recruited in this study rho write out more than 90% of Skindex-29 questionnaires. The function of total scores and three domain scores and SCORAD index was investigated and the correlation of each domain scores also . Result : The total scores, showed significant correlation with three domain scores in atopic dermatitis. The correlation of each three domain scores were significant. SCORAD index showed significant correlation with three domain scores and total scores. Conclusion : In this study atopic dermatitis efface of the quality of life in physical, social, and psychological factors. So we considered to the quality of life as well as clinical severity in patient with atopic dermatitis.

The purpose of this study was on effect of Bopejungcheuntang(BPJC) for atopic dermatitis. During 5 months between January and May 2000, BPJC water extract administered to patient suffering from atopic dermatitis, in Dep. of Pediatrics, Dongguk university Pundang Oriental Hospital and this study was conducted for 27 patient (male 17, female 10) The result were as follows 1. The distribution of remedial values were improvement (51.9%), unresponsiveness(37.0%), depravation(11.1%). 2. After dispensing BPJC, ordinal sites of atopic dermatitis were inner space of elbow and knee joint, face and neck, back and abdomen, wrist and ankle. Befor and after dispensing BPJC this ordinal sites were similar but after dispensing BPJC, the other sites except head is improved. Order of symptomatic improvement is itching, licheniasis, erythema, exudate. Both itching and exudate is significantly improved. 3. According to way of water extract, symptomatic improvement is most excellent with general water extract & distiled water, the second is general water extract, the third is distiled water. 4. BPJC effect on atopic dermatitis is not significantly affected by sex, day of falling ill, medical treatment, resident environment, feeding, character and duration of medical treatment.

Objectives : The purpose of this case report is to know the effect of Korean medical treatments on occupational contact dermatitis. Methods : We reported 2 cases who visited Allergy and Derma-Cosmetic Clinic of Kyung Hee University Hospital at Gangdong. They were diagnosed with occupational contact dermatitis and treated by Korean medical treatment. Results : One patient recovered after 13 days of admission and total 9 months of outpatient period. Another patient recovered after 9 days of admission and total 7 months of outpatients period through Korean Medical Treatment. Conclusions : We may expect that Korean medical treatment had therapeutic effects on occupational contact dermatitis, but the additional study will be conducted for revealing the exact therapeutic effects.

Object : In this study, the effect of herb medication, aromarherapy and acupuncture treatment against atopic dermatitis was investigated. Method : We treated him with herb medication, aromatherapy and acupuncture treatment during 28days. Atopic dermatitis grade ane the effect of medication was determined using Kunz type and SCORAD index. Atopic dermatitis lesion was checked by taking pictures. Result : The SCORAD index was lowered 39 at discharge than before of which the SCORAD index was 74.2. at admission. The patient's symptoms are getting reduced. Conclusion : On the basis of this study, herb medication, aromatherapy and acupuncture treatment were shown to treat atopic dermatitis effectively by decreasing oozing, itching, crust.

Objectives : The purpose of this report is to know the effect of Korean medicine treatments on Allergic Contact Dermatitis. Methods : We treated a 63-years-old man patient with Allergic Contact Dermatitis on the left medial calf with Korean medicine. After Korean medical treatment for 26 days, we identified a reduction in size of erythema and loss of color fading, exudates and edema. We recorded pictures of changes on symptoms. Results & Conclusions : The symptoms of Allergic Contact Dermatitis were improved. Erythema, edema, exudate were lost. Thus Korean medicine treatments are effective on allergic contact dermatitis.

Object : In this study, the effect of herbal external therapy, aromatherapy, herb medication against atopic dermatitis was investigated. Method : Atopic dermatitis grade and the effect of medication was determined using Kunz type and SCORAD index. Atopic dermatitos lesion was checked by taking pictures Result : The patient's admission SCORAD index was 74.2 but during 32 days admission treatment the patients's symptoms are getting reduced. At last when she discharged, the SCORAD index was 16.1. Conclusion : In this study, herbal external therapy, aromatherapy and herb medication were shown to treat atopic dermatitis effectively by decreasing itching, oozing, crust, dryness, lichenification. It is very possible that external therapy can offer a valuable mode of the treatment of not only atopic dermatitis but also another eczema.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Hwangryuhaedok-tang gagambang on seborrheic dermatitis. Methods : The clinical study was done on 3 cases of seborrheic dermatitis patients with symptoms of flare, scales, pricking and itching. An author prescribed Hwangryuhaedok-tang gagambang for these patients and checked VAS(Visual Analogue Scale) scores depending on the patient's evaluation. Photographies were taken before and after the treatment. Results : VAS scores of all patients decreased from 10 to 1,2. Judging by photographies, patients noticeably improved in facial skin. As a result of examining VAS scores and photographies, Hwangryuhaedok-tang gagambang was effective on seborrheic dermatitis. Conclusions : From these results, Hwangryuhaedok-tang gagambang may be considered as a basic prescription for seborrheic dermatitis. And an author consider that continuous clinical study will be needed in Korean medical dermatology.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Hwangryunhaedok-tang Pharmacopuncture Therapy on Seborrheic Dermatitis Methods : An author treated distillation of Hwangryunhaedok-tang Pharmacopuncture(0.8cc) on both LI20(Yenoghyang), SI18(Gwollyo), ST7(Hagwan) of patient's spots on the face suitable for acupuncture and examined variation of two Seborrheic Dermatitis cases Results : The Hwangryunhaedok-tang Pharmacopuncture Therapy was effective on amelioration of symptoms like flare, pricking and itching sense in Seborrheic Dermatitis Conclusions : The above result indicate that Hwangryunhaedok-tang Pharmacopuncture Therapy has an effect on Seborrheic Dermatitis, and an author consider that continuous clinical study will be needed in other Pharmacopuncture and Korean medical treatment.

Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is a material that generates free radicals through the ionization of air. Despite the application in various medical fields, the efficacy and safety of CAP on post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation due to atopic dermatitis have not been reported. Herein, we report the improvement in post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation of atopic dermatitis, after CAP treatment of three sessions weekly, 10 minutes per session. We examined the clinical severity indexes before and after treatment, including the Investigator's Global Assessment, modified Atopic Dermatitis Antecubital Severity, Eczema Area and Severity Index, and pruritus visual analogue scores. Our results indicate that CAP alleviates the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and clinical severity of atopic dermatitis, and effectively improves the atopic skin lesion without severe safety issues. We believe that the previously reported anti-bacterial effects and production of interleukin-6 after CAP treatment are probably responsible for the underlying mechanisms leading to clinical improvement.

Objective: A Case report on the improvement of dermatitis through implementation of OCNT. Methods: OCNT was implemented for 3 months for a Korean man in his 70's with dermatitis with unknown cause since 2015. Results: Following the implementation of OCNT, fever that accompanied dermatitis subsided, occurrence of itchiness and abscess decreased, and the stratum corneum of the palm although displayed improvement of being thinned. As the result of visual follow-up observation upon discontinuation of OCNT, damaged skin due to inflammation was restored to the level of normal skin. Conclusion: OCNT can provide assistance to those experiencing inconvenience due to dermatitis.
