The purpose of this study was to observe the potentiality of a mixture of antibiotics to relieve the endodontic and periapical infections in primary teeth. A mixture of metronidazole, ciprofloxacin, and minocyclin in distilled water or in a root canal sealer were used to disinfect the infected endodontic and periapical lesions. For application of this mixture, medication cavities were prepared at orifices of root canals by using the $Fissurotomy^{(R)}$ burs(S S White, USA). The cavities and bottom of pulp chamber were filled with antibiotics mixture. In this cases, clinical symptoms were improved following a single application of that mixture. Gingival swelling, pain, and fistulae were disappeared within a week. More long term evaluation will be needed. Although there were no reports of side effects, care should be taken if children are sensitive to antibiotics. Within the limitations of this case, the mixture of 3 antibiotics provided an excellent improvement in treatment of infected primary teeth under the physiologic root resorption.

A number of techniques may be employed to reduce the discomfort of syringe or needle for dental care. The use of topical anesthesia is one such method. Topical anesthetics are applied to alleviate pain during many clinical procedures, such as injection of local infiltration anesthetics, primary tooth extraction, X-ray taking of sensitive patients, reducing gag reflex prior to impression taking. In children, placement of a rubber dam clamp, however, may cause significant discomfort for purpose of pit and fissure sealant and preventive resin restoration(PRR). A topical anesthetic would be beneficial to aid in rubber dam placement for this purpose. It has been suggested that all intra-oral topical anesthetics are equally effective on reflected mucosa, however EMLA(an acronym for eutectic mixture of local anesthetics), which was developed in the 1980s and produces surface anesthesia of skin, has been shown to be more effective than conventional topical anesthetics when used on attached gingivae. This report is topical anesthesized 4 case by EMLA cream, who showed better effect in reducing the pain of infiltration anesthesia, extraction of deciduous teeth, rubber dam clamp placement and reducing the pain of preformed crown adaptation.

This is a qualitative research that was carried out to analyze the experience of loneliness of the elderly people living alone using the result of focus group interviews. This study conducted interviews with 28 subjects in the Senior Welfare Center of D city. For the purpose, 28 persons were divided into 5 groups, and interviews were carried out with each group for 50-70 minutes. and the voluntary character of research participation was sufficiently explained. As a result of the research, three topic collections consisting of 'Unavoidable lonesomeness', 'Inevitable death', and 'Acceptance of my life' and seven subjects, which consist of 'Absence of spouse', 'Independence for children', 'Death of neighbor (friend)', 'Fear of death left alone', 'Laying down', 'Taking care of my health', and 'Soothing loneliness in my own way', were derived. The elderly persons living alone who participated in this research expressed their feeling of unavoidable loneliness and their effort to overcome the loneliness. Based on the findings of this research, it is hoped that diverse plans to overcome psychological loneliness of the elderly people living alone will be developed.
