Spherical convexity may be defined in different ways. It depends on which statement we take as a definition among several statements that can be all used as a definition of convexity of subsets in an affine space. In this article, we consider this question from various perspectives. We compare several different definitions of spherical convexity which are found in mathematical papers. In particular, we focus our discussion on the definitions of J. P. $Benz{\acute{e}}cri$ and N. H. Kuiper who built a solid foundation for theory of convex bodies and convex affine(projective) structures on manifolds.

The Government has recently planned to improve the medical insurance drug price systems by removing the drug margin occurring from the difference between the official and purchasing prices, and instead by setting prices through adding drug administration casts calculated to the purchasing costs. In the circumstances, the major policy and implementing issues are how to define the drug administrance cost and how to calculate them. This study attempts to provide for the conceptional and operational definitions and thereby develop a costing model for the cost. The relationship between the current systems of medical services costs and prices were reviewed to define the concept of the costs. The study defined the costs from the narrow and wide prospective of meaning, and three operational definitions were provided. The costing model was developed applying the departmental costing principles. Finally, several prerequisites that have to be considered for the implementation of the definition and the model from the practical viewpoint.

Bae and W. Park [3] proved the Hyers-Ulam stability of bi-homomorphisms and bi-derivations in $C^*$-ternary algebras. It is easy to show that the definitions of bi-homomorphisms and bi-derivations, given in [3], are meaningless. So we correct the definitions of bi-homomorphisms and bi-derivations. Under the conditions in the main theorems, we can show that the related mappings must be zero. In this paper, we correct the statements and the proofs of the results, and prove the corrected theorems.

Recently, a new version of expansiveness which is closely attached to some certain weak version of hyperbolicity was given for $C^1$ vector fields as following: a $C^1$ vector field X will be called rescaling expansive on a compact invariant set ${\Lambda}$ of X if for any ${\epsilon}$ > 0 there is ${\delta}$ > 0 such that, for any $x,\;y{\in}{\Lambda}$ and any time reparametrization ${\theta}:{\mathbb{R}}{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}$, if $d({\varphi}_t(x),\,{\varphi}_{{\theta}(t)}(y)){\leq}{\delta}{\parallel}X({\varphi}_t(x)){\parallel}$ for all $t{\in}{\mathbb{R}}$, then ${\varphi}_{{\theta}(t)}(y){\in}{\varphi}_{(-{\epsilon},{\epsilon})}({\varphi}_t(x))$ for all $t{\in}{\mathbb{R}}$. In this paper, some equivalent definitions for rescaled expansiveness are given.

In collaborative environment, it is necessary that the participants in collaboration should share the same understanding about the semantics of terms. For example, they should know that 'COMPONENT' and 'ITEM' are different word-expressions for the same meaning. In order to handle such problems in information sharing, an information system needs to automatically recognize that the terms have the same semantics. So we develop an algorithm mapping two terms based on their ontological definitions and their similarities. The proposed algorithm consists of four steps: the character matching, the inferencing, the definition comparing and the similarity checking. In the similarity checking step, we consider relation similarity and hierarchical similarity. The algorithm is very primitive, but it shows the possibility of semi-automatic mapping using ontology. In addition, we design a mapping procedure for a mapping system, called SOM (semantic ontology mapper).

Acute kidney injury (AKI), formerly referred to as acute renal failure (ARF) is defined as the sudden impairment of kidney function (estimated from the glomerular filtration rate [GFR]) that results in the lack of excretion of waste products. More than 30 definitions of AKI exist in the literature, most of which are based on serum creatinine. Lack of a uniform and multidimensional AKI definition has led to failure to recognize significant renal injury, delays in treatment, and inability to generalize single-study results. The RIFLE criteria were developed to standardize the diagnosis of ARF and in the process the term AKI has been proposed to encompass the entire spectrum of the syndrome from minor changes in renal function to requirement for renal replacement therapy. Large prospective studies are needed to test definitions and to better understand risk factors, incidence, independent outcomes, and mechanisms that lead to poor short- and long-term outcomes. Early biomarkers of AKI need to be explored in critically ill neonates.

Protocol specifications and service definitions for distributed open system applications are defined using ASN.1. Therefore, to implement an open system application likes MHS, it is necessary to have well defined encoding/decoding modules which translate ASN.1 protocol specifications into their transfer syntaxes. However, that work is usually tedius, time consuming, and error prone. In this paper, we designed and implemented a new ASN.1 tool set which includes a new ASN.1 run-time library, called HY BER/DER, and an enhanced ASN.1-to-C compiler, called HYASNC$^{+}$. HYASNC$^{+}$ automatically generates C language encoder/decoder stub files and heder files for basic ASN.1 types and subtypes defiend in X.208 recommandation, and all X400 MHS system macro definitions. And, we evaluated the performance of HYASNC$^{+}$ compiler and HY BER/DER run-tiem library, and tested the interoperability of ASN.1 run-time library.

Purpose - This study sought to discuss definitions of organizational culture taking into consideration different views, and the historical and philosophical elements of organizational culture. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - This paper is a relatively conceptual study that has attempted to define organizational culture, a topic that has been debated among scholars and practitioners. Various studies in the literature related to organizational culture have been reviewed in an effort to reduce the complexities and ambiguities in definitions of organizational culture. Results -This study summarized and synthesized different studies related to organizational culture, and identified the main streams for defining organizational culture as being from the historical and philosophical elements of organizational culture. Conclusions -The concept of organizational culture continues to be an important factor affecting organizational effectiveness and initiating organizational development. However, the definition of organizational culture has not been well-established. In this sense, this paper seems to be significant and meaningful as it attempts to define organizational culture from different perspectives.

Lu et al. [27] defined derivations on fuzzy Banach spaces and fuzzy Lie Banach spaces and proved the Hyers-Ulam stability of derivations on fuzzy Banach spaces and fuzzy Lie Banach spaces. It is easy to show that the definitions of derivations on fuzzy Banach spaces and fuzzy Lie Banach spaces are wrong and so the results of [27] are wrong. Moreover, there are a lot of seroius problems in the statements and the proofs of the results in Sections 2 and 3. In this paper, we correct the definitions of biderivations on fuzzy Banach algebras and fuzzy Lie Banach algebras and the statements of the results in [27], and prove the corrected theorems.

The participants in collaborative environment want to get the right information or documents which are intended to find. In general search systems, documents which contain only the keywords are retrieved. For searching different word-expressions for the same meaning, we perform mapping before searching. Our mapping-based search approach has two parts, ontology-based mapping logic and ontology libraries. The ontology-based mapping consists of three steps such as character matching (CM), definition comparing (DC) and similarity checking (SC). First, the character matching is the mapping of two terminologies that have identical character strings. Second, the definition comparing is the method that compares two terminologies' ontological definitions. Third, the similarity checking pairs two terminologies which were not mapped by two prior steps through evaluating the similarity of the ontological definitions. For the ontology libraries, document ontology library (DOL), keyword ontology library (KOL), and mapping result library (MRL) are defined. With these three libraries and three mapping steps, an ontology-based search engine (OntSE) is built, and a use case scenario is discussed to show the applicability.
