Photodynamic therapy (PDT), in which a photosensitizer (PS), light, and molecular oxygen are essential components, is a non-invasive and highly effective cancer therapeutic method. However, PDT suffers from the penetration limit of light caused by attenuation and scattering of light through tissues constraining its use to skin and endoscopically accessible cancers. Cerenkov luminescence (CL) is defined as the light illuminated when charged particles move in a dielectric medium at a velocity greater than the phase velocity of light. It is known that medical radioisotopes in preclinical and clinical settings have enough energy to generate CL, and lately, CL has been exploited as an excitation source for PDT without external light illumination. This review introduces state of the art studies of radioisotope-based PDT for cancer, in which radioisotopes are utilized as a light source.

Recently, the medium-low level radioactive waste from nuclear power plant must be transported from temporary storage to the final repository. Medium-low level radioactive waste, which is composed mainly of the liquid ion exchange resin, has been consolidated with cementitious material in the plastic or iron container. Since cementitious material is brittle, it would generate cracks by impact load during transportation, signifying leakage of radioactive ray. In order to design the safety transporting equipment, there is a need to check the compressive strength of the current waste. However, because it is impossible to measure strength by direct method due to leakage of radioactive ray, we will estimate the strength indirectly by the dynamic modulus of elasticity. Therefore, it must be identified the relationship between of strength and dynamic modulus of elasticity. According to the waste acceptance criteria, the compressive strength of cement based solid is defined as more than 3.44 MPa (500 psi). Compressive strength of the present solid is likely to be significantly higher than this baseline because of continuous hydration of cement during long period. On this background, we have tried to produce the specimens of the 28 day's compressive strength of 3 to 30 MPa having the same material composition as the solid product for the medium-low level radioactive waste, and analyze the relationship between the strength and the dynamic modulus of elasticity. By controling the addition rates of AE agent, we made the mixture containing the ion exchange resin and showing the target compressive strength (3~30 MPa). The dynamic modulus of elasticity of this mixtures is 4.1~10.2 GPa, about 20 GPa lower in the equivalent compressive strength level than that of ordinary concrete, and increasing the discrepancy according to increase strength. The compressive strength and the dynamic modulus of elasticity show the liner relationship.

This study was carried out to investigate the antimicrobial and antioxidative effects of mycelium cultural extract from mushroom. Mushroom mycelium was grown in a defined synthetic liquid medium and citrus extracts, and the culture extracts were examined for antioxidant and antibacterial activity. Myceliums of Phellinus linteus, Cordyceps militaris, Coriolus versicolor, Sparassic crispa, Agaricus blazei, lnonotus obliquus, Lentinus edodes, Hericium erinacium, Gonoderma lucidium in 10% citrus extract supplemented medium and synthesis medium were incubated in a shaking incubator (120 rpm, $24{\sim}30^{\circ}C$ ) for $7{\sim}15$ days. The antimicrobial activity of the culture fluid of mushroom mycelium grown in submerged liquid culture was tested against 12 microorganisms which were fish pathogens and common bacterial species. The culture extracts showed high activity against Vibrio sp. and had poor effect on Streptocouus sp., S. parauberis, S. iniae. The culture extracts obtained from the synthetic medium showed $30{\sim}93%$ of the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenger activity, the culture extracts obtained from the citrus extracts medium exhibited antioxidant activity up to 55%.
A micro-mechanical pipe network model with the shape of a cube was developed to simulate the behavior of fluid flow through a porous medium. The fluid-flow mechanism through the cubic pipe network channels was defined mainly by introducing a well-known percolation theory (Stauffer and Aharony, 1994). A non-uniform flow generally appeared because all of the pipe diameters were allocated individually in a stochastic manner based on a given pore-size distribution curve and porosity. Fluid was supplied to one surface of the pipe network under a certain driving pressure head and allowed to percolate through the pipe networks. A percolation condition defined by capillary pressure with respect to each pipe diameter was applied first to all of the network pipes. That is, depending on pipe diameter, the fluid may or may not penetrate a specific pipe. Once pore pressures had reached equilibrium and steady-state flow had been attained throughout the network system, Darcy's law was used to compute the resultant permeability. This study investigated the sensitivity of network size to permeability calculations in order to find out the optimum network size which would be used for all the network modelling in this study. Mean pore size and pore size distribution curve obtained from field are used to define each of pipe sizes as being representative of actual oil sites. The calculated and measured permeabilities are in good agreement.

Purpose: Reference material (RM) is defined as material that is safe and homogeneous enough about specified characteristic that is made with a purpose of using test of measurement or nominal characteristic. Certified reference material (CRM), which is issued by authorized organization, is defined as reference material that provides characteristic value, link uncertainty and retroactivity. The purpose of this paper was to evaluate recovery of radioimmunoassay by Certified Reference Material enclosed with a certificate and therefore to enhance reliability of test. Materials and Methods: WHO certified reference material is purchased from NIBSC (National Institute for Biological Standard and Control, United Kingdom) and made of 3 levels that are C-1 (low concentration), C-2 (medium concentration) and C-3 (high concentration) and measured for kit at the Seoul National University Hospital. Recovery rate is evaluated after measurement at four different days. Results: Recovery rate results using WHO certified reference material are T4 90%, Ferritin 88%, PSA 94%, Prolactin 99%, AFP 94% and TSH 93%. Conclusion: A procedure that appropriate accuracy, precision, specificity, sensitivity, reproducibility, and validate on the subject of kit for radioimmunoassay is essential. Recovery rate assay as extraction efficiency of analysis process is percent about already measuring results of analysis result after all measuring process. This is very important assessment standards of performance evaluation of immunoassay kit. Recovery rate results of 6 type used WHO CRM are satisfactory to 88~99%. This demonstrates that the radioimmunoassay is a very accurate measurement, which is very effectively utilized in clinical practice.
The purposes of the present study were (1) to identify the latent classes depending on youth employees' trajectories in job satisfaction and turnover intention and (2) to test the effects of person-job fit(major fit, education level fit, skill level fit) on job satisfaction and turnover intention using Youth Panel 2001. In order to estimate latent classes of job satisfaction and turnover intention changes simultaneously and study probabilities linking latent class membership in trajectory across the two variables, we applied dual trajectory model, an extension of semi-parametric group-based approach, Results showed that four latent classes were identified for job satisfaction, which were defined, based on the trajectory patterns, as increasing group, decreasing group, medium-level group, and high-level group. And, three latent classes estimated for turnover intention were defined as low-level group, maintaining group, and rapidly decreasing group. To test the effects of person-job fit variables, we added the variables as time-dependant variables to the unconditional latent class model. The effect of education level fit and skill level fit were found significant in the groups which are low in job satisfaction and have high in turnover intention. Findings from this study suggest the need to consider trajectory heterogeneity in the study of youth employees' job satisfaction and turnover intention to capture the dynamic dimension of overlap between the two constructs.
This paper defined the concept of unsold land and diagnosed the cause of unsold land of LH business site. The results are showing as follows. First, unsold land is defined as land could not be sold until the completion of the project, and plan to sell the unsold land can be changed partially. Second, the status of unsold land in the 226 project sites were analyzed. $146km^2$ area corresponding to 74.8% of the total capital area($195km^2$) are unsold. By purpose, co-residential($38km^2$), industry($21km^2$), exclusive residential($16.4km^2$), commercial business($12.5km^2$), education($10.2km^2$) was larger in order. Third, value enhancement target project sites were selected and its symptoms and the cause of unsold land were analyzed. For the project site over average unsold rate, 6 sites located in province and 2 sites located in capital region were selected through collecting the practitioners and expert opinion. These 8 sites are characterized that sale of land for medium and large co-residential, urban support facilities, block-shaped house and attached house was inactive. Also, these sites commonly experienced economic fluctuations, changes in market demand, supply and demand mismatch, inflexible planning standards.
This study analyzed the effect of technology innovation capacity and social capital on the non-financial performance of SMEs in the metropolitan area. Technology innovation capacity is defined as R & D capacity and technology accumulation capacity, and social capital is defined as interaction, goal sharing, and member trust. The samples were collected through a survey conducted in-person and through telephone calls, e-mail, and fax. The sample data used for analysis was 223 copies. Analysis results showed that R & D capacity and technology accumulation capacity (for technology innovation capacity) and interaction and member trust (for social capital) were variables that significantly affect non-financial performance, but not goal sharing. The findings of this study were as follows. First, despite lacking sufficient technology or capital, SMEs are constantly engaging in innovation to survive in the competitive market environment. Second, the members of SMEs make considerable efforts to achieve performance based on interaction and member trust, however, they hold a negative perception toward sharing the goals pursued by their company.
In this paper, local public archives is referred to the public archives of provincial governments and metropolitan city governments as defined in the public Records Management Act. Under the Act, as professional archives, the local public archives preserves records designated as permanent preservation which the local government and its sub-agencies created or received to conduct public business. The Act also allows local public archives to establish an appropriate basic plan to manage its holdings as well as to oversight its sub-agencies. The Act stipulates that the local public archives are to be established in all provinces and metropolitan cities. The local public archives shall preserve archival heritage safely and utilize use of the recorded information as defined in the Article one of the Act. The local archives shall respect the principle of provenance. It is expected that the local archives shall strengthen local archival promotion campaigns which necessarily reflect unique local circumstances. However, as the Act just recommended the establishment of local public archives not to force as a mandatory procedure, it resulted in a flow of some confusions and misinterpretations. Despite the act was proclaimed two years ago, the local public archives are not yet established, not to mention that no preparatory works are on the way. To establish the local public archives effectively which meet local residents needs and demands, provincial governments and metropolitan city governments should proceed a well-prepared preparatory works plan considering the steps to transform them into the local public archives when they establish agency records centers. The first step in this process is to reach at a common consensus on the functions and roles of the local public archives which accommodates local residents needs and demands. Secondly, by analyzing the functions of archives to be established, an estimation of needed human resources, facilities, equipments, organization, budget appropriation, and local rules should be performed. Otherwise, the establishment of decent local archives is a far remote future. One of the methods to proceed this project systematically is to establish a local research institute for the local archives and cultural studies which would be put under the local university authority while consulting with local governments, local civil organizations, local historical and cultural societies. It is very undesirable to stress too much upon administrative efficiency when concerned parties discuss the functions and roles of the local public archives. They must keep in mind that when the functions to collect and use historically valuable records are active then administrative efficiency can be raised as well as accountability. Collecting and arranging historically valuable records is a short-cut way to promote accountability and develop local political culture. The local public archives is a valuable community historical center and an effective medium to facilitate historical speaking and writing among local people, something more than a simple public archives. Then our campaign for the establishment of local public archives can be a meaningful political cultural movement.
Purpose: The ultraviolet reflectance and transmittance of coastal building materials are one of the important factors of ultraviolet radiation in and out of coastal building. In this research, the ultraviolet spectral reflectance of many kinds of building materials was measured. Also, the relationships with the lightness, roughness, and chromaticity, which are surface characteristics, were reviewed and suggested. Method: In this study, according to the CIE classification, the ultraviolet region was defined as short-wavelength region UV-C(10nm~280nm), medium-wavelength region UV-B (280-315 nm), and long-wavelength region UV-A (315-400nm), and the visible light region was defined as (400nm~780nm). Spectrophotometer was used to continuously measure the reflectance from the ultraviolet region to the visible light region. Results: From the measurement results, the ultraviolet reflectance on Wood was shown to be about Visible 55-68%, UV-A* 7-12%, and UV-B 4-5%. Wall tiles are about Visible18-40%, UV-A* 8-20%, and UV-B* 7-8%. That on concrete was shown to be about Visible 37%, UV-A* 28%, and UV-B*19%. Conclusion: The ultraviolet reflectance can be estimated by visible reflectance. Also, it is important to select a variety of materials according to the application when blocking UV.
