Differential Side Channel Analysis Attacks on FPGA Implementations of ARIA

  • In this paper, we first investigate the side channel analysis attack resistance of various FPGA hardware implementations of the ARIA block cipher. The analysis is performed on an FPGA test board dedicated to side channel attacks. Our results show that an unprotected implementation of ARIA allows one to recover the secret key with a low number of power or electromagnetic measurements. We also present a masking countermeasure and analyze its second-order side channel resistance by using various suitable preprocessing functions. Our experimental results clearly confirm that second-order differential side channel analysis attacks also remain a practical threat for masked hardware implementations of ARIA.

한국형 틸팅열차 곡선부 성능시험 연구 (The Study of Performance Test of Conventional Curve Line for Korean Tilting Train)

  • Tilting trains are now an established feature of railway operations throughout the world. For intercity traffic, tilt provides operators with increasing speeds, and therefore enhanced competitiveness, on existing routes where insufficient traffic or a lack of funds precludes the construction of a dedicated new high-speed railway. Appling the tilting train, we can expect 30% of speed up on existing lines, but the stability of the electric current would be low because of tilting the train. Also, the spark between the catenary and pantagraph cause environmental problems such as noise, radio wave malfunction. Therefore, the tilting on pantagraph for the power suppling device is very essential for stable electric power supply.

  • Elasto-forming has been dedicated to specific and limited production. Today, using enhanced pad materials, it has become an efficient and economical process alternative for low and medium volume metal-forming production. The non-linear properties of elastomer which are described as strain energy function are important parameter to design and evaluate of elastomer component. These are determined by material tests which are uni-axial tension and bi-axial tension. In order to investigate the design paramerer, Finite element analysis was carried out for elasto-forming process.

  • 본 논문에서는 USB 인터페이스를 이용한 GU 환경의 제어기를 구현해 보였다. 특히, 프론트 판넬에 취부된 외부 USB 포트의 성능 검사는 비쥬얼 C++ 검사 프로그램을 사용하여 자동적으로 실행되도록 하였다. 성능검사 프로그램은 실험 결과를 가청적 또는 가시적으로 표시함으로서 작업자의 조작을 최소화하고, 생산성을 최대화할 수 있도록 하였다. GUI 환경의 제어기는 검사 프로그램을 사용하여 표준방식 키보드, 트랙볼. 엔코더, 아날로그 퍼텐시오미터, 2개의 디스플레이장치 및 터치스크린을 제어 할 수 있다.

A general approach for studying the motion of a cantilever beam interacting with a 2D fluid flow

  • In this paper a general approach for studying the motion of a cantilever beam interacting with a 2D fluid flow is presented. The fluid is solved by a general purpose commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) package (FLUENT 6.2), while the structure is managed by means of a dedicated finite element method solver, coded in FLUENT as a user-defined function (UDF). A weak fluid structure interaction coupling scheme is adopted exchanging information at the end of each time step. An arbitrary cantilever beam can be introduced in the CFD mesh with its wetted boundaries specified; the cantilever can also interact with specified rigid and flexible walls through use of a non-linear contact algorithm. After a brief review of relevant scientific contributions, some test cases and application examples are presented.

반도체 장비의 원격 모니터링을 위한 임베디드 웹 서버 (An Embedded Web Server for Remote Monitoring the Semiconductor Equipment)

  • A remote monitoring system of the semiconductor equipment is used to monitor or control operations of the equipment. Most of the conventional monitoring systems are based on the client-server model with the general purpose PC. Basically, it implies the difficulties in the system reliability and cost down due to its size and complexity. To overcome these difficulties, we suggest an embedded web server which is based on the low-cost microprocessor. It is designed for the monitoring or controlling a dedicated equipment only. To evaluate the feasibility of the suggested embedded web server, we have implemented a test-board with ATMega103 and programmed the basic modules using the AVR-GCC. Finally, we have tested its operations on the MS Explorer 6.0 environment.

  • The ATE driver to test a high speed semiconductor chip is designed by using general logic drivers instead of dedicated pin drivers. We have proposed a structure of general logic drivers using FPCA and assured its correct operation by EDA tool simulation. PCB circuit was implemented and Altera FPGA chip was programmed using DDR I/O library. On the PCB, it is necessary to place two resistors connected output drivers near to the output pin to adjust an impedance matching. We confirmed that the measured results agree with the simulated values within 5% errors at room temperature for the input signals with 800Mbps data transfer rate and 1.8V operating voltage.

  • Bimodal tram is being developed to be completed in 2010 and the infrastructure needs to be developed to make the operation in time. Through the study of infrastructure reflecting domestic condition, dedicated lane, station, connection center, automated operation, precise docking, ticketing system, information system, management system for operation and maintenance, and refueling station will be developed and their performances will be also verified through the construction of test bed. The economical, safe and environment-friendly operation of the bimodal tram will be established through the present study.
