Implementation of Spectrum Analysis System for Vibration Monitoring

  • Factory monitoring systems are gaining importance in wide areas of industry. Especially, there have been many efforts in implementation of vibration measurement and analysis for monitoring the status of rotating machines. In this paper, a digital signal processor (DSP) based monitoring system dedicated to the vibration monitoring and analysis on rotating machines is discussed. Vibration signals are acquired and processed for the continuous monitoring of the machine status. Time domain signals and fast Fourier transform (FFT) are used for vibration analysis. All of the signal processing procedures are done in the DSP to reduce the production and maintenance cost. The developed system could also provide remote and mobile monitoring capabilities to operator via internet connection. This paper describes the overview of the functional blocks of the implemented system. Test results based on signals from small-size single phase motors are discussed for monitoring and defect diagnosis of the machine status.

전차용 엔진클러치 암플랜지 생산성 향상을 위한 연구 (Improvement in Productivity of Engine Clutch Female Flanges for Tank)

  • The tank engine clutch flange constitutes a tank on which the engine and transmission of the tank are mounted. The engine clutch flange is fabricated using a difficult-to-cut material that exhibits high strength and hardness. It is difficult to process and requires considerable processing expertise. In addition, the engine clutch flange for the tank requires high machining precision because it is a system in which the connection is detachable. Because it requires high processing precision, the measurement of products equally important as processing. However, productivity is low owing to the significant amount of time required to measure each product using a three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine. Hence, this study is conducted to improve the productivity of the female tank engine clutch flange. Dedicated hobs and jigs are designed and manufactured to convert the existing end-mill cutting processing into hobbing cutting processing. An engine clutch for the tanks is manufactured using the manufactured dedicated hob and jig, and the shortening time is verified by measuring the processing time. In addition, a jig for inspection is designed and manufactured to measure the precision of the product. To verify the inspected product, the product precision is measured using a contact-type three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine and a surface roughness measuring instrument. The study confirmed that the productivity of the engine clutch flange product for tanks can be improved by simplifying the process, reducing the processing time, and simplifying product inspection.

주기성을 갖는 네트워크 관리 정보 수집을 위한 셔틀 프로토콜의 설계 및 구현 (The Design and Implementation of the Shuttle Protocol for Gathering Management Information Periodically)

  • 본 논문은 관리 시스템으로부터 네트워크 관리 정보를 효율적으로 수집할 수 있는 새로운 폴링 방식인 셔틀 프로토콜을 제안, 설계, 구현하고 시뮬레이션을 수행한다. 셔틀 프로토콜의 주요 특성은, 첫째로 피관리 시스템들을 연결하는 링형태의 논리적인 연결이고, 둘째는 수집해야 할 관리 정보가 논리적인 링형태의 연결로써 지정된 피관리 시스템들 사이에서 순화된다는 것이다. 피관리 시스템에 의해서 생성된 관리 정보는 이웃하는 피관리 시스템으로 연계되고 그 시스템은 자신의 데이타를 수신한 데이타에 추가하여 다음 피관리 시스템으로 전송한다. 결국, 관리자 스테이션은 모든 피관리 시스템에 의해 생성된 모든 관리 정보를 얻을 수 있다. 기존의 폴링 방식들을 사용하 여 발생된 관리 트래픽의 발생 특성에 관하여 살펴본 후, 이들 기존의 폴링 메카니즘 들의 단점을 개선하고 TCP/IP 네트워크상에서 동작가능한 셔틀 프로토콜을 구현하였다. 또한, 시뮬레이션 패키지인 OPNET을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통해 관리 시스템의 패킷 처리 시간과 분포, 게이트웨어에서의 패킷 처리 시간과 분소및 큐에서 대기중인 패킷 수와 비트수를 기존의 폴링 방식과 제안된 셔틀 방식을 비교 분석하였다.

서원의 외부공간 특성 -상주지방의 사례연구- (External Space Characteristics of the Seowon -A case Study of Sangju Area-)

  • The research deals with external space Seowon(lecture hall) dedicated to education and memorial rises in Sangju area of Choson Dynasty. Characteristics of Seowon as follow; 1. Seowon of Sangju area were built from the middle of 17C to the beginning of 18C. Ideological background of building functioning were grafted into the belief in the three God governing Childbirth, the theory of feng-shui(wind-and water-magic) which is in close connection with the principles of yin and yang, and confucianism and the philosophy of lao-tze and chung-tze. The formation of space were horizontally arrangement and vertical arrangement as the first-learning and then-ancestor shrine of Youngnam provinces. 2. Background and factors of site selection were applied geographical feature, tried to connect owner home town. 3. The shape of path of flow were simple of vertical and curved composition, were continued, were stabilized through composition of human scale's space by reasonable internal. A case of Sangju area, D/H ratio of the front area of buildings and courts was as follows. D/H=1>Hyangkyo> houses on the river>temples>lecture halls. D/H ratio ot the backside areas is as follows. D/H=1>Hyangkyo>houses on the river>lecture halls. 4. Inner garden were planted deciduous than evergreen trees with Lagerstroemia indica. Enclosed dominant trees were planted by Pinus densiflora, Querces seuata.construct GEM strain, and examined for the expression and functional stability in microcosms.

Effect of Red-emitting Sr2.41F2.59B20.03O74.8:Eu0.12,Sm0.048 Phosphor on Color Rendering Index and Luminous Efficacy of White LEDs

  • Color rendering index (CRI) and luminous efficacy (LE) are two key performance factors of white LEDs (WLED). While most recent works in optics focus on methodology to improve these factors, little attention has been dedicated to chemical composition of materials. This paper studies the effect of $Sr_{2.4}1F_{2.59}B_{20.03}O_{74.8}:Eu_{0.12},Sm_{0.048}$ phosphor (SrSm), in terms of concentration and particle size on CRI and LE of 8500 K - WLEDs. Importantly, the molar mass of the componential ions in SrSm are calculated to shed light on the connection between the chemical composition of the material of interest and the performance of WLEDs. Results show that CRI can be improved to a value of around 86 by boosting red-light components in WLEDs, for all 3 major configurations: conformal, in-cup, and remote phosphor. CRI value tends to decrease with larger size of particles, while LE value goes in the reverse direction. On the other hand, both CRI and LE appear to be reduced at higher concentration of SrSm. This light attenuation is analyzed by using the Lambert-Beer law and Mie-scattering theory.

Friction welding of multi-shape ABS based components with Nano Zno and Nano Sio2 as welding reinforcement

  • Due to the high usage of ABS in industries, such as aerospace, auto, recreational devices, boat, submarines, etc., the purpose of this project was to find a way to weld this material, which gives advantages, such as affordable, high speed, and good connection quality. In this experimental project, the friction welding method was applied with parameters such as numerical control (NC) machine with two different speeds and three cross-sections, including a flat surface, cone, and step. After the end of the welding process, samples were then applied for both tensile and bending tests of materials, and the results showed that, with increasing the machining velocity Considering of samples, the friction of the surface increased and then caused to increase in the surface temperature. Considering mentioned contents, the melting temperature of composite materials increased. This can give a chance to have a better combination of Nanomaterial to base melted materials. Thus, the result showed that, with increasing the weight percentage (wt %) of Nanomaterials contents, and machining velocity, the mechanical behavior of welded area for all three types of samples were just increased. This enhancement is due to the better melting process on the welded area of different Nano contents; also, the results showed that the shape of the welding area could play a significant role, and by changing the shape, the results also changed drastically.A better shape for the welding process was dedicated to the step surface.

VANETs을 위한 가중치 기반 침입탐지 방법의 설계 및 평가 (Design and Evaluation of a Weighted Intrusion Detection Method for VANETs)

  • 무선 네트워크와 모바일 컴퓨팅 응용의 급속한 보급과 더불어, 최근 네트워크 보안의 배경도 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 특히 이동성이 높은 차량 노드들로 네트워크 위상을 유지하는 차량 애드 혹 네트워크(Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks: VANETs)는 일반적으로 불안정한 통신 링크를 갖는 자기 조직화 P2P 망으로, 고정된 인프라 구조나 중앙 통제 라우팅 장비 없이 자동으로 망을 구성하고, 시간에 따라 고속으로 이동하며 망에 결합하거나 이탈하는 개방 망이므로 중앙 집중 제어 없이 누구나 접속이 허용되기 때문에 네트워크상에 해로운 비정상 행위 노드들에 대한 침입에 매우 취약하다. 본 논문에서는 VANETs에서의 노드들의 활동에 대한 비정상 행위를 효율적으로 식별하여 침입을 탐지할 수 있는 러프집합을 이용한 가중치 기반 침입탐지 방법을 제안하고, 그 성능을 모의실험을 통해 임계 허용 오차 ${\epsilon}$에 대한 비정상 행위로 인한 침입 탐지율과 거짓 경고율로 평가한다.

Improved ADALINE Harmonics Extraction Algorithm for Boosting Performance of Photovoltaic Shunt Active Power Filter under Dynamic Operations

  • This paper presents improved harmonics extraction based on Adaptive Linear Neuron (ADALINE) algorithm for single phase photovoltaic (PV) shunt active power filter (SAPF). The proposed algorithm, named later as Improved ADALINE, contributes to better performance by removing cosine factor and sum of element that are considered as unnecessary features inside the existing algorithm, known as Modified Widrow-Hoff (W-H) ADALINE. A new updating technique, named as Fundamental Active Current, is introduced to replace the role of the weight factor inside the previous updating technique. For evaluation and comparison purposes, both proposed and existing algorithms have been developed. The PV SAPF with both algorithms was simulated in MATLAB-Simulink respectively, with and without operation or connection of PV. For hardware implementation, laboratory prototype has been developed and the proposed algorithm was programmed in TMS320F28335 DSP board. Steady state operation and three critical dynamic operations, which involve change of nonlinear loads, off-on operation between PV and SAPF, and change of irradiances, were carried out for performance evaluation. From the results and analysis, the Improved ADALINE algorithm shows the best performances with low total harmonic distortion, fast response time and high source power reduction. It performs well in both steady state and dynamic operations as compared to the Modified W-H ADALINE algorithm.

DSRC 시스템 기반의 긴급차량을 위한 교통 관리 시스템 (The traffic management system for Emergency Vehicles based on DSRC System)

  • 본 논문에서는 DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) 통신 기반인 첨단 교통관리 서비스의 실시간 교통제어 일환으로 교차로에서 긴급차량의 신속한 이동을 위한 긴급차량 우선통과 시스템(Emergency Vehicle Priority Transit System: EPTS)을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 도로상황의 여러 사항을 고려하며 교통신호제어기와 DSRC 시스템의 연계를 통해, 실제 도로 상황에 맞게 적용할 수 있다. 그 결과, 교차로에서 긴급차량의 효율적 운행을 유도하여, 운전자의 판단에 의한 운행과 달리 교차로에서의 논스톱(nonstop) 운행이 가능할 것이며, 또한 운행의 안전성도 상대적으로 좋아 효율적인 면을 중요시 하는 텔레매틱스 서비스 분야에 적합하리라 예상된다.

Dynamic Resource Reservation for Ultra-low Latency IoT Air-Interface Slice

  • The application of Internet of Things (IoT) in the next generation cellular networks imposes a new characteristic on the data traffic, where a massive number of small packets need to be transmitted. In addition, some emerging IoT-based emergency services require a real-time data delivery within a few milliseconds, referring to as ultra-low latency transmission. However, current techniques cannot provide such a low latency in combination with a mice-flow traffic. In this paper, we propose a dynamic resource reservation schema based on an air-interface slicing scheme in the context of a massive number of sensors with emergency flows. The proposed schema can achieve an air-interface latency of a few milliseconds by means of allowing emergency flows to be transported through a dedicated radio connection with guaranteed network resources. In order to schedule the delay-sensitive flows immediately, dynamic resource updating, silence-probability based collision avoidance, and window-based re-transmission are introduced to combine with the frame-slotted Aloha protocol. To evaluate performance of the proposed schema, a probabilistic model is provided to derive the analytical results, which are compared with the numerical results from Monte-Carlo simulations.
