  • Social media platforms have become an integral part of our daily lives, and they generate vast amounts of data that can be analyzed for various purposes. However, the quality of the data obtained from social media is often questionable due to factors such as noise, bias, and incompleteness. Enhancing data quality is crucial to ensure the reliability and validity of the results obtained from such data. This paper proposes an enhanced decision-making framework based on Business Decision Management Systems (BDMS) that addresses these challenges by incorporating a data quality enhancement component. The framework includes a backtracking method to improve plan failures and risk-taking abilities and a steep optimized strategy to enhance training plan and resource management, all of which contribute to improving the quality of the data. We examine the efficacy of the proposed framework through research data, which provides evidence of its ability to increase the level of effectiveness and performance by enhancing data quality. Additionally, we demonstrate the reliability of the proposed framework through simulation analysis, which includes true positive analysis, performance analysis, error analysis, and accuracy analysis. This research contributes to the field of business intelligence by providing a framework that addresses critical data quality challenges faced by organizations in decision-making environments.

  • The utility and the nuclear research institutes in korea have conducted research for improving inefficient requirements in technical specifications using the results of probability risk assessments and informations with risk. However, the guidance for reviewing the improved technical specifications has not been developed. The objective of this study is to develop a decision-making framework for investigating and reviewing the technical documents associated with the to changes of technical specification This study has developed a decision-making framework for reviewing the improvements of the RI-TS(Risk-Informed Technical Specifications). This work may contribute to enhancing both the safety and the efficiency of nuclear power plants by changing Technical Specifications proposed by the utility.

  • Decision makers in the service industry must effectively cope with queuing problems, service capacity optimization, service efficiency and service quality problems. This study proposes a computer simulation-enabled MCDM framework that integrates computer simulation analysis, Taguchi method, expert opinion and multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) to assist decision makers in coping with decision problems. In this framework, Taguchi method is adopted to reduce the time required for the simulation experiment. Computer simulation analysis is adopted to obtain useful information for rapid decision-making without interrupting actual production. MCDM is used to select the optimal alternative. The illustrative result is extremely promising.

  • As digital economy era and knowledge society advent, division of the industry has been indistinctive and complex. This change of business environment has leaded todifficulty in operations of firms consisted of continuous decision making. To develop effective SDSS needs systematic strategic decision making process, efficient problem solving techniques, information of good quality, efficiently information system, and analysis ability of problem solver. This research develop SDSS framework combined strategic decision making process with various problem solving techniques for designing SDSS. Finally, this paper developed the technique recommendation system by selected the criterions of technique assortment.

  • A strategic decision making needs a sound process modeling to find out the right path of organizational changes; however, dynamic feedback processes involved in a real world business, make it difficult to predict the outcomes of strategic decisions. In this paper, we present a conceptual framework to facilitate strategic decision making process for organizational changes. The framework, which employs the concepts of analytic network process (ANP) and system dynamics (SD), can be used to prioritize various projects under consideration and to make a long-term strategic plan in a constructive manner.

  • After the Fukushima Daiichi accidents, public concerns on nuclear safety and the corresponding burden of nuclear power plant licensees are increasing. In order to secure public trust and enhance the rationality of current safety regulation, we develop a risk-informed decision making (RIDM) framework for the Korean regulatory body. By analyzing all the regulatory activities for nuclear power plants in Korea, eight action items are selected for RIDM implementation, with appropriate procedures developed for each. For two items in particular - the accident sequence precursor analysis (ASPA) and the significance determination process (SDP) - two customized risk evaluation software has been developed for field inspectors and probabilistic safety assessment experts, respectively. The effectiveness of the proposed RIDM framework is demonstrated by applying the ASPA procedure to 35 unplanned scrams and the SDP to 24 findings from periodic inspections.

  • To perform rational decision-making, autonomous agents need considerable computational resources. When other agents are present in the environment, these demands are even more severe. In these settings, it may be difficult for the agent to decide what to do in an acceptable time in multiagent situations that involve many agents. These problems motivate us to investigate ways in which the agents can be equipped with flexible decision-making procedures that enable them to function in a variety of situations in which decision-making time is important. The flexible decision-making methods explicitly consider a tradeoff between decision quality and computation time. Our framework limits resources used for agent deliberation and produces results that are not necessarily optimal, but provide autonomous agents with the best decision under time pressure. We validate our framework with experiments in a simulated anti-air defense domain. The experiments show that compiled rules reduce computation time while offering good performance.

  • Most local agencies such as counties and small cities continuously express difficulties in making technically and financially defensible decisions on their pavement infrastructure maintenance and rehabilitation. Unlike pavement systems managed by state highway agencies, the total lane-miles of many local pavements are significantly short and they are managed by a limited number of staff who typically have multiple responsibilities. Most local agencies also do not have historical pavement performance data and the lack of a systematic decision making framework exacerbates the problem. A structured framework and an easily accessible decision support tool that reflects their local requirements, practices and operational conditions would greatly assist them in making consistent and defensible decisions. This study fills this gap by developing a systematic pavement treatment selection framework and a spreadsheet based tool for local agencies. It is expected that the proposed framework will significantly help local agencies to improve their pavement asset management practices at the project level.

  • Compared with other industries, the construction Industry has many parties(A/E/C) as well as many types of construction activities. Especially, as for the remodeling project, the owner group the remodeling union consists of various stakeholders union and requiring the additional activities of demolition except for the existing new building construction project. Like this, the remodeling project has its own characteristics different from a new building construction project. As for the remodeling project, the Owner's decision making for a remodeling alternative has to be preceded, and other parties are required to propose a remodeling alternative which satisfies the Owner's requirements. However, because of time constraints, many types of problems occur during the decision-making process. In consideration of this, in this research, the authors would like to suggest a decision-making support system to help the Owner's decision-making in the early stage of a remodeling project. For this paper purpose of a remodeling decision-making framework based on Building Information Modeling(BIM) was suggested to help with the Owner's decision-making for each remodeling item and the decision-making support system was evaluated through Case Study.

  • This paper describes the result of a case study for developing an expert system framework in order to support Korean Army tactical C4I system. Korean Army had developed an expert system, STAFS(Situation & Threat Assessment Fusion Expert System), for supporting field intelligence analysis activities which has been implemented through traditional manual process inside the division level combat briefing room. STAFS, however, has serious limitations for supporting combat commander's decision making processes because of its limited capabilities, since the system had been developed for supporting only intelligence analysis function rather than for integrated combat decision making processes inside the combat briefing room. Thus, this paper proposed an integrated expert system framework for supporting the commander's decision making by addressing various activities implemented in the briefing room.
