Odontogenic cyst has been reviewed with a report on the 193 cases clinico-statistically. We found that cysts occur frequently at third decade male as 29% and second decade female as 30%. Maxilla is more prevalent site as 74.6% than mandible. Uper incisors and lower third molars are the most prebalant teeth. Swelling is the most frequent chief complaint. After enucleating, we grafted to the cystic cavities in 10 cases.

Between 1983 and 1993, 250 patients over 16 years of age who had undergone a surgical correction of a congenital cardiovascular disease were reviewed. 222 patients were divided into acyanotic group and 28 patients were cyanotic group. The most common defects were atrial septal defect [96 patients and ventricular septal defect [95 patients . There were 128 patients in the third decade, 71 patients under 20 years of age, 40 patients in the fourth decade and 11 patients over 40 years of age. The male to female ratio was 1.05:1. Operative mortality was 6.8% [4.1% in the acyanotic group and 26.8% in the cyanotic group and the most common cause of death was low cardiac output syndrome.

Scaling of the gate stack has been one of the major contributors to the performance enhancement of CMOSFET devices in past technology generations. The scalability of gate stack has diminished in recent years and alternative gate stack technology such as metal electrode and high-k dielectrics has been intensively studied during the last decade. Tody the performance of high-k dielectrics almost matches that of conventional $SiO_2-based$ gate dielectrics. However, many technical challenges remain to be resolved before alternative gate stacks can be introduced into mainstream technology. This paper reviews the research in alternative gate stack technologies to provide insights for future research.

The author examined bone changes from 1274 poly tomographic images of 182 temporomandibular joints which showed symptoms of temporomandibular disorder and the following results were obtained; 1. The number of temporomandibular joints which showed bone changes were 64 (35.2％) among 182 joints. 2. The age and sex distribution of 64 joints which had bone changes showed the prevalence of female (90.6％) and third decade (25.0％) followed by fourth (21.2％) and second decade (17.2％). 3. The 252 images which showed bone changes consisted of 56 images from lateral side (22.2％). 118 images from center (46.8％) and 78 images from medial side (30.9％). 4. The most frequently observed bone changes were flattening (22.7％) followed by sclerosis (19.3％) and cortical unsharpness (19.3％)

52 cases of metastatic lung tumor, including 22 [42.3%] choriocarcinoma., 13[25%] liver cancer, 6 [7.5%] stomach cancer, 2 bone tumor, etc, were reviewed at Busan National University Hospital, during a 5 year period ending with 1974. The age distribution of metastatic lung tumor were same in second decade to 5th decade. The most common appearances of roentgenograms of metastatic lung tumor were that of multinodular [42.3%], diffuse acinar [21.1%],infiltrative or pneumonic[21.1%], solitary lesion [9.6%] and diffuse micronodular [5.7%]. The metastatic lesions originated from choriocarcinoma revealed multinodular and acinar in roentgenogram, and the lesions originated from liver and stomach cancer revealed infiltrative and acinar. In our series, the positive hilar lymph node enlargement was encountered in 12 cases, of which 4 were in liver cancer and 3 were in stomach cancer. Pleural effusion was also encountered in 5 cases, of which 3 were in liver cancer. The treatment of this series was almost conservative except of 2 cases of pulmonary resection, and the reason of this limited cases of surgical treatment was seemed due to the delayed direction of metastasis to lung beyond the proper indication of surgery.

Between July 1988 and August 1991, 8 cases of pulmonary resection for pulmonary asp-ergilloma had been performed in the department of thoracic surgery, Korea Cancer Center Hospital. The patients were consisted of 4 males and 4 females and were evenly distributed from fourth decade to sixth decade. Hemoptysis was the most common chief compla int. In chest roentgenogram, patch infiltration was noted in 4 cases[50%] and intracavi-tary fungus ball was noted in only 2 cases[25%]. A. fumigatus was identified pre-operatively in 2 cases by bronchoscopic washing and in 1 case by culture of pleural effusion, Eight pulmonary resections were done by 5 lobectomies, 1 segmentectomy, 1 wedge resection and 1 pneumonectomy, Postoperative pathologic findings showed that 6 cases [75%] were combined with bronchiectasis, 1 case with tuberculosis and 1 case with pneumonia. We experinced 1 case of postoperative pulmonary edema but there was no mortality case.

Whenever a noise problem of a product is concerned, a first step is to identify the energy transmission path whether it is an air-borne or a structure-borne. Depending on the characteristic of the noise path, tools on the noise reduction are different. In this paper. an important aspect of the “mass law” in a noise transmission has been investigated. Since an air-borne has 20 dB/Decade, and a structure-borne 10 dB/Decade of a sound transmission loss due to a mass, an engineer who aims to have a light product design should have an enough knowledge on the mass law, especially, the sensitivity of the weight itself. A honeycomb plate is examined as a sample of a light structure to implement a mass law.

The growth of fixed telephony has been steady but unexceptional. The number of mobile telephone subscribers, however, has increased dramatically throughout the decade. The increasing prevalence of mobile communications, in conjunction with the relatively high penetration of fixed telephony, will cause the market for converged services to become significant in coming decade. The current fixed and mobile regulatory regimes are very different. Regulation of the fixed market tends to focus on monitoring the activities of incumbent operator and ensuring that other operators can compete on a fair basis. Mobile markets have historically been more competitive, and the asymmetric nature of regulation of these markets has not been as prevalent as for fixed communications. The purpose of this paper is to identify the fixed-mobile convergence and to suggest the future regulatory principles for fixed-mobile convergence.

Since the last decade, the fisheries industry in Korea has faced many difficulties in terms of comparative economic advantage partly because of marine environmental damage caused by Pollution and coastal reclamation, and partly because of too expensive production factors like labor. In addition, new order of world trade created by Uruguay Round will force the Korean fisheries industry to prepare some remedies including a joint-venture business with China for international compatativeness. As a result, this paper mainly deals with an analysis on feasibility of Sino-Korean joint cooperation in fisheries business. Especially, the Shandong Province in China is expected to take advantage of its geographical proximity to Koreas well as of its abundance in marine natural resources in order to achieve a fast economic growth. Thus, for the next decade to come, it would be very important for the Korean fisheries industry to cope with the international fisheries market by the Sino-Korean joint-venture combining the capital and technology from Korea with the cheap labor and favorable marine environment for aquaculture from China.

The world at the end of the $20^{th}$ Century has become "blue" Indeed, this past decade has witnessed a "blue rush" towards the development of violet-blue-green light emitting diodes (LEDs) and laser diodes (LDs) based on wide bandgap III-Nitride semiconductors. And the hard work has culminated with, first, the demonstration of commercial high brightness blue and green LEDs and of commercial violet LDs, at the very end of this decade. Thanks to their extraordinary properties, these semiconductor materials have generated a plethora of activity in semiconductor science and technology. Novel approaches are explored daily to improve the current optoelectronics state-of-the-art. Such improvements will extend the usage and the efficiency of new light sources (e.g. white LEDs), support the rising information technology age (e.g. high density optical data storage), and enhance the environmental awareness capabilities of humans (ultraviolet and visible photon detectors and sensors). Such opportunities and many others will be reviewed in this presentation.
