단상 BLDC 전동기의 토오크 리플 저감을 위한 공극 설계 (Design of Air Gap for Reducing Torque Ripple in a Single-Phase BLDC Motor)

  • Most single-Phase brushless DC (BLDC) motors have unequal air gap to eliminate the dead-point where the developed torque value is zero. However this partial increase of the air gap deteriorates the motor characteristics in cogging torque. Thus in this paper a new topology of unequal air gap is proposed to solve this problem. The topology is to use some pairs of equal or unequal air gaps. As a result, it is proved by the finite element analysis and experimental results that the single-Phase BLDC motor with the proposed air gap topology is very effective in reducing the cogging torque.

  • This paper presents a new software-based on-line dead-time compensation technique for single-phase grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) inverter system. To improve the mitigation of dead-time effect around the zero-crossing point of phase current, a selective harmonic elimination of instantaneous feedback current is used as an additional part of conventional current control scheme. Simulation and experimental results are shown to verify the effectiveness of proposed compensation method in the grid-connected power distributed generation systems.

  • 본 논문에서는 3-Level NPC(Neutral Point Clamped) 인버터에서 ZDPWM(Zero Dead Time Pulse Width Modulation) 기법에 대해서 제안한다. 3-Level NPC 인버터에서 기존 PWM 기법은 각 스위치는 서로 상보적인 동작을 수행하고, 반도체 스위칭 소자 특성상 Rise Time과 Fall Time의 시간차이로 인하여 단락사고를 방지하기 위해 스위칭 신호의 Rising Edge에 데드타임을 인가하여 단락을 방지한다. 그러나 이러한 데드타임은 지령 스위칭 신호와 실제 스위칭 신호의 오차로 인하여 출력 전압 및 전류에 왜곡이 발생하고, 이러한 왜곡으로 인하여 시스템의 오작동 및 직류링크단 전압의 불평형의 원인이 된다. 제안하는 PWM기법은 지령전압과 출력전류의 위상에 따라 영역을 나눈 후 전류의 방향에 따라 옵셋 전압을 생성하여 새로운 지령전압을 만들어 각 스위치에 스위칭 신호를 인가한다. 제안한 기법에 타당성을 증명하기 위해 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.

A novel grey TMD control for structures subjected to earthquakes

  • A model for calculating structure interacted mechanics is proposed. A structural interaction model and controller design based on tuned mass damping (TMD) was developed to control the induced vibration. A key point is to introduce a new analytical model to evaluate the properties of the TMD that recognizes the motion-dependent nonlinear response observed in the simulations. Aiming at the problem of increased current harmonics and low efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous motors for electric vehicles due to dead time effect, a dead time compensation method based on neural network filter and current polarity detection is proposed. Firstly, the DC components and the higher harmonic components of the motor currents are obtained by virtue of what the neural network filters and the extracted harmonic currents are adjusted to the required compensation voltages by virtue of what the neural network filters. Then, the extracted DC components are used for current polarity dead time compensation control to avert the false compensation when currents approach zero. The neural network filter method extracts the required compensation voltages from the speed component and the current polarity detection compensation method obtains the required compensation voltages by discriminating the current polarity. The combination of the two methods can more precisely compensate the dead time effect of the control system to improve the control performance. Furthermore, based on the relaxed method, the intelligent approach of stability criterion can be regulated appropriately and the artificial TMD was found to be effective in reducing cross-wind vibrations.

기관 삽관후 인공호흡기를 적용한 개심술 환아의 인공기도 체외 용적이 폐환기 상태에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Artificial Dead Space on the Pulmonary Ventilation of Intubated Children with Mechanical Ventilation)

  • This study was done to evaluate the effect reducing artificial dead space on intubated children. Data were collected from July 1st, 1998 to August 31st, 1999. The subjects were selected from a pediatric intensive care unit of 'S' hospital and intubated with 3.5 mm or 4.5 mm endotracheal tube after open heart surgery. They were composed of 34 patients : 17 patients were assigned to the experimental group and the rest of them were placed in the control group. The artificial airway volume was minimized in the experimental group, and the control group maintained the artificial airway volume. ETCO2, PaCO2, SPO2 were measured as indicators of pulmonary ventilation. The tools of this study were GEM-Premier and Space-Lab patient monitors. The data were analyzed using the SPSS/PC+ program. The $\chi$2 -test was used to find general characteristics. The t-test was used to test the homogenety of the pulmonary ventilation status and mechanical ventilation setting before intervention between the two groups. Also, the paired t-test was used to examine the hypothesis. The results can be summerized as : 1. CO2 can be expelled effectively from the body in case artificial dead space was decreased. 2. As the artificial dead space was reduced, the difference between ETCO2 and PaCO2 was decreased, in other words pulmonary ventilation was improved. 3. If the artificial dead space occupied above 15 percent of tidal volume, the effect of CO2 was retention revealed in the body. 4. If the artificial dead space occupied below effect. Based on the results, the following is suggested to be applied practically : 1. A kind of the ventilator circuit acting artificial dead space should be removed from the intubated children with mechanical ventilaion. 2. The endotracheal tube should not be cut because extra-body space of the endotracheal tube did not have an effect on the dead space of the intubated children. Since the researcher could not cover this aspect in the study, they recommend the following. 1. The study should be extended to the other pulmonary disease patients for the effect of improving pulmonary ventilation. 2. Also, further studying with a more narrow interval in the extra-body space of the artificial airway will be able to explain the point of artificial dead space with proper ventilation.

뇌사자 장기기증에 대한 간호사의 태도 (Nurse's Attitudes on Organ Donation in Brain Dead Donors)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 간호사를 대상으로 뇌사자 장기 기증에 대한 태도와 태도도구 항목의 요인분석을 실시하여 뇌사자 장기기증 활성화를 위한 기초자료를 마련하고, 뇌사자 장기기증 활성화를 위한 방법을 모색할 목적으로 실시하였다. 방법: B광역시에 위치하고 있는 3개의 대학병원과 4개의 종합병원에 근무하는 간호사 198명을 대상으로 조사한 서술적 조사연구이다. 기관의 부서장을 만나 연구의 목적과 필요성을 설명하여 허락을 받고, 병동 수간호사에게 연구의 취지와 목적을 다시 설명하고 협조를 구한 후, 해당 병동 간호사의 동의를 얻어 구조화된 설문지를 배부하여 설문조사 하였다. 결과: 대상자의 뇌사자 장기기증에 대한 태도도구 항목의 요인은 긍정적 태도가 '뇌사의 법적 사망 인정' 요인, '뇌사시 장기기증 의사' 요인, '학교교육과정에 포함' 요인, '타인에 대한 선물' 요인, '전문단체와의 연결'요인, '뇌사인정은 꼭 필요' 요인, '국가적으로 제도화' 요인, '장기이식을 위해 좋은 일' 요인으로 나타났고, 부정적 태도는 '종교와 생명의 존엄성에 위배' 요인, '뇌사인정 시 위험성' 요인, '의료진에 대한 불신감' 요인, '장기 기증 권유의 부담'요인, '경제적 보상'요인으로 나타났다. 대상자의 뇌사자 장기기증에 대한 긍정적 태도정도는 총 평균평점이 3.75점, 표준편차가 3.40로 중간 정도로 나타났다. 각 요인별 긍정적 태도정도는 '학교교육과정에 포함' 요인이 가장 높았고($4.15{\pm}0.54$), 긍정적 태도정도가 가장 낮은 요인은 '뇌사시 장기기증 의사' 요인($3.27{\pm}0.56$)이었다. 그리고 대상자의 뇌사자 장기기증에 대한 부정적 태도정도는 총 평균평점이 2.92점, 표준편차가 0.47로 중간 정도로 나타났다. 각 요인별 긍정적 태도정도는 '장기기증 권유의 부담' 요인($3.11{\pm}0.58$)이 가장 높았고, 부정적 태도정도가 가장 낮은 도인은 '종교와 생명의 존엄성에 위배' 요인($2.50{\pm}0.64$)으로 나타났다. 결론: 뇌사자 장기 기증에 대한 간호사의 수용적인 태도 전환을 위해 간호대학 교육과정에 이에 관한 교육내용이 포함되어야 하고 또한 졸업간호사들을 위한 보수교육과정에도 이를 포함시켜야 할 필요성이 있으며, 이는 뇌사 입법화 후 감소추세에 있는 장기 이식과 뇌사자 장기 기증에 관한 태도의 변화를 가져오는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Novel Model Predictive Control Method to Eliminate Common-mode Voltage for Three-level T-type Inverters Considering Dead-time Effects

  • This paper proposes a novel common-mode voltage (CMV) elimination (CMV-EL) method based on model predictive control (MPC) to eliminate CMV for three-level T-type inverters (3LT2Is). In the proposed MPC method, only six medium and one zero voltage vectors (VVs) (6MV1Z) that generate zero CMV are considered as candidates to perform the MPC. Moreover, the influence of dead-time effects on the CMV of the MPC-based 6MV1Z method is investigated, and the candidate VVs are redesigned by pre-excluding the VVs that will cause CMV fluctuations during the dead time from 6MV1Z. Only three or five VVs are included to perform optimization in every control period, which can significantly reduce the computational complexity. Thus, a small control period can be implemented in the practical applications to achieve improved grid current performance. With the proposed CMV-EL method, the CMV of the $3LT^2Is$ can be effectively eliminated. In addition, the proposed CMV-EL method can balance the neutral point potentials (NPPs) and yield satisfactory performance for grid current tracking in steady and dynamic states. Simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Evaluation of flux stabilisation using Bio-UF membrane filter on KZN Rivers, South Africa

  • South Africa recognises piped water as the main source of safe drinking water supply. Remote areas do not have access to this resource and they rely solely on surface water for survival, which exposes them to waterborne diseases. Interim point of use solutions are not practiced due to their laboriousness and alteration of the taste. Bio-ultra low pressure driven membrane system has been noted to be able to produce stable fluxes after one week of operation; however, there is limited literature on South African waters. This study was conducted on three rivers namely; Umgeni, Umbilo and Tugela. Three laboratory systems were setup to evaluate the performance of the technology in terms of producing stable fluxes and water that is compliant with the WHO 2008 drinking water guideline with regards to turbidity, total coliforms and E.coli. The obtained flux rate trends were similar to those noted in literature where they are referred to as stable fluxes. However, when further comparing the obtained fluxes to the normal dead-end filtration curve, it was noted that both the Umbilo and Tugela Rivers responded similarly to a normal dead-end filtration curve. The Umgeni River was noted to produce flux rates which were higher than those obtainable under normal dead-end. It can be concluded that there was no stabilisation of flux noted. However, feed water with low E.coli and turbidity concentrations enhances the flux rates. The technology was noted to produce water of less than 1 NTU and 100% removal efficiency for E.coli and total coliforms.

막다른 미세유로 내부의 농축 동역학 분석 (Analysis of Preconcentration Dynamics inside Dead-end Microchannel)

  • 이온 농도 분극 현상은 전기투석, 전기화학 전지에서 일어나는 기초 이동 현상일 뿐만 아니라, 생체 물질 전처리용 농축 장치의 핵심 기작으로 활용된다. 외부 인가 전압에 의해 발생한 이온 농도 분극 현상은 분석 물질의 농축에 필요한 국소적으로 증폭된 전기장을 통해 물질의 농축을 가능케 한다. 그러나 기존의 농축 기작은 농축의 평형 지점이 불분명하며, 농축 플러그의 유체역학적 불안정성의 두가지 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 이온 농도 분극 기반의 농축 기작의 한계점을 해결하기 위해 막다른 미세유로와 양이온 교환막을 사용한 농축 방법을 연구하였다. 막다른 미세유로의 공간 제약적 구조를 통해 유체역학적 안정성을 확보할 수 있으며, 분석 물질의 농축 지점이 이온 공핍 영역의 충격 전단과 일치함을 수치적으로 확인하였다. 또한 농축 공정의 핵심 인자로써 인가 전압과 미세유로의 체적 전하 농도를 변화시켜가며, 농축 물질의 전기동역학적 거동을 연구하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 현장 진단 검사(point-of-care)와 같은 초단시간의 농축을 필요로 하는 미세유체역학 장치에 유효한 기작으로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

비전 센서를 갖는 이동 로봇의 복도 주행 시 직진 속도 제어 (Linear Velocity Control of the Mobile Robot with the Vision System at Corridor Navigation)

  • This paper proposes a vision-based kinematic control method for mobile robots with camera-on-board. In the previous literature on the control of mobile robots using camera vision information, the forward velocity is set to be a constant, and only the rotational velocity of the robot is controlled. More efficient motion, however, is needed by controlling the forward velocity, depending on the position in the corridor. Thus, both forward and rotational velocities are controlled in the proposed method such that the mobile robots can move faster when the comer of the corridor is far away, and it slows down as it approaches the dead end of the corridor. In this way, the smooth turning motion along the corridor is possible. To this end, visual information using the camera is used to obtain the perspective lines and the distance from the current robot position to the dead end. Then, the vanishing point and the pseudo desired position are obtained, and the forward and rotational velocities are controlled by the LOS(Line Of Sight) guidance law. Both numerical and experimental results are included to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.
