  • National atlas map for provide various information is one part of National territorial Statatics Survey but National atlas map in 2004 year don't have stability and ability. National territorial Statatics Survey in 2005 years have octuple data compare with data in 2004 years but have only one map. One map is going to provide with stability and ability. We don't use DBMS, But We make a similarly struct in file based program. We programmed system of dynamic-linked data with spatial data. To dynamic-linked system, we make search engine to based index struct and make combobox search system. spatial data only have index codes(year, national terrial indicator, area). If spatial data request specfied data, search engine search index code and provide DB data. New system is middle step of using DBMS. We redraw map for display real Korea area (with dokdo). New map is shape and similar Korea map.

A Microphone Array Beamformer for the Performance Enhancement of Speech Recognizer in Car (차량환경에서 음성인식 성능 향상을 위한 마이크로폰 어레이 빔형성 기법)

  • In this paper. a microphone array beamforming algorithm that reduces the signal distortion caused by reverberation and near-field effect in car environment is proposed. When reverberation or near-field effect is present, an optimum beamformer should be constructed with a steering vector consisting of transfer functions between source and microphones, but it is generally difficult to estimate transfer functions on-line without knowledge of the source signal. Instead, a sub-optimal beamforming algorithm that reduces signal distortion is proposed. It is constructed with steering vectors consisting of relative transfer functions between reference sensor and other sensors. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm. we had recorded noisy speech database in a car, and performed speech recognition experiments with HMM Toolkit (HTK) released by Cambridge University. The recognition rate of the proposed algorithm was 15 percents higher than that of the conventional far-field beamformers in best case.

Design of RBFNNs Pattern Classifier Realized with the Aid of Face Features Detection (얼굴 특징 검출에 의한 RBFNNs 패턴분류기의 설계)

  • In this study, we propose a method for effectively detecting and recognizing the face in image using RBFNNs pattern classifier and HCbCr-based skin color feature. Skin color detection is computationally rapid and is robust to pattern variation for face detection, however, the objects with similar colors can be mistakenly detected as face. Thus, in order to enhance the accuracy of the skin detection, we take into consideration the combination of the H and CbCr components jointly obtained from both HSI and YCbCr color space. Then, the exact location of the face is found from the candidate region of skin color by detecting the eyes through the Haar-like feature. Finally, the face recognition is performed by using the proposed FCM-based RBFNNs pattern classifier. We show the results as well as computer simulation experiments carried out by using the image database of Cambridge ICPR.

  • The objective of this study is to subdivide the tactical considerations (METT+TC; Mission, Enemy, Terrain & Weather, Troops available, Time available, Civil considerations) through Delphi method and prioritize those via AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). Though it has been taken for granted that the tactical considerations were inevitable for decision making relating to military operations, their segmentation and priority have not been studied sufficiently in military. The data for Delphi method and AHP were based on interview with military experts and questionnaires answered by those. Six tactical considerations were segmented into 34 sub-considerations by Delphi, and Six tactical considerations and 34 sub-ones were prioritized through AHP in attack and defense aspects. If the research results will be embedded into database of automatic command and control system (e.g. ACTIS; Army Tactical Command Information System), effective decision-making process will get easier and faster.

Gaze Recognition System using Random Forests in Vehicular Environment based on Smart-Phone (스마트 폰 기반 차량 환경에서의 랜덤 포레스트를 이용한 시선 인식 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose the system which recognize the gaze using Random Forests in vehicular environment based on smart-phone. Proposed system is mainly composed of the following: face detection using Adaboost, face component estimation using Histograms, and gaze recognition based on Random Forests. We detect a driver based on the image information with a smart-phone camera, and the face component of driver is estimated. Next, we extract the feature vectors from the estimated face component and recognize gaze direction using Random Forest recognition algorithm. Also, we collected gaze database including a variety gaze direction in real environments for the experiment. In the experiment result, the face detection rate and the gaze recognition rate showed 82.02% and 84.77% average accuracies, respectively.

  • The interest in the service of 3D mobile contents becomes larger due to the technological advance of production and services of mobile contents and the appearance of the exclusive mobile phone for 3D game. Therefore, the researches about the efficient mobile services of large 3D contents are wanted in the circumstances of the narrow bandwidth and the burden of the connection charge of wireless mobile communications. In this paper, we suggest a strategy of caching for looking up and downloading the 3D marine characters efficiently and a system model for mobile service of 3D marine characters. The suggested system is designed for serving efficiently the high-quality 3D characters through the wireless mobile communications using the database on the 3D marine objects of cyber aquarium constructed for the services through the wired internet.

  • A pavement structure analysis model plays a very important role which can correlate input variables to performance models. In this research, a standard shell element model was developed by use of the ABAQUS program so that behaviors of concrete pavements be analyzed. The model was verified in terms of its accuracy by way of comparing the results to those gathered from closed-form Solutions, the Everfe program, and the ABAQUS program with a solid model. Many input variables were analyzed in the model, and the results were stored in a database. Based on the SPSS program, stress equations with respect to temperature and curling effects were developed. All models gave over 0.90 of R2 value except the case considering top-down curling (R2=0.86)

  • Recently, it is very important to establish and predict a traffic policy for expanding social infra structure like road, because the number of cars is significantly increasing. In this paper, we propose and develop an automated system technology based on vision sensor (CCTV) which can provide an efficient information for the traffic policy establishment and expanding the social infra structure. First, the CCTV image is captured as an input of the developed system. With this image, we propose a scheme for extracting vehicles on the road and classifying small-type, large-type vehicles based on color, motion, and geometric features. Also, we develop a DB (database) system for supplying a whole information of traffic for a specified period. Based on the proposed system, we verify 90.1% of recognition ratio in real-time traffic monitering environment.

  • Since the study of building performance design was first undertaken by Building Research Station in 1930s, the results of such study has been reported from many parts of the world, building construction codes and standards have been revised based on performance in advanced nations as well in Korea, and various performance certification systems are in operation. The purpose of this study is to build a database of performance certification systems to investigate the co-relationship of various test methods related to the same test items. As test methods for case study, we selected test methods involving collision of the human body. Through analysis of Critical fall height test of EN 1177 and Head Model test of JIS A 6519 about 8 species of floor test-bodies, it was found that there are limits of application in terms of the depth and strength of cushion. Furthermore, although the measured physical parameters are the same, when the co-relationship between test methods is uncertain, the various physical parameters may not be compatible with the results.

  • Recently, Several Mega project are been performing as a multi-dimensional development project in Korea, but some problem has been revealed about deficiency of the history, experience, and skill. A multi-dimensional development project require the technology which can manage mega project to its specific at the level of program management. predicting schedule and schedule management are the most important for mega project, been performing over several years. This research shows the method of predicting and planning schedule in the early stage as a pre-study on developing a technology of schedule management. First of all, it presents the development of database considering the specific of mega project that can accumulate the history of schedule and search the schedule according to the type of single and multi building. Also it suggests the method of prediction schedule by creating scenarios according to owner requirements and cash flow, affecting schedule management in the early stage, and the shortening possibility of schedule duration using CCPM theory.
