In this paper, we designed a LBS-based smart platform for Lifelog service that can utilize the other's lifelog information. The conventional Lifelog service means that the system records the daily activities of the smart device user so the user can retrieve the early-recorded information later. The proposed Lifelog service platform uses the GPS/UFID location information and the various information extracted from the image as the lifelog data. Further, the proposed Lifelog platform using DB can provide the user with the Lifelog data recorded by the other service user. The system usually provide the other's Lifelog data within the 500m distance from the user and the range of distance can be adjustable. The proposed smart platform based on image recognition for Lifelog can acquire the image from the smart device directly and perform the various image recognition processing to produce the useful image attributes. And it can store the location information, image data, image attributes and the relevant web informations on the database that can be retrieved by the other use's request. The attributes stored and managed in the image information database consist of the followings: Object ID, the image type, the capture time and the image GPS coordinates. The image type attribute has the following values: the mountain, the sea, the street, the front of building, the inside of building and the portrait. The captured image can be classified into the above image type by the pattern matching image processing techniques and the user's direct selection as well. In case of the portrait-attribute, we can choose the multiple sub-attribute values from the shirt, pant, dress and accessory sub-attributes. Managing the Lifelog data in the database, the system can provide the user with the useful additional services like a path finding to the location of the other service user's Lifelog data and information.

This study aims to forecast the future of the Korean society via a big data analysis. Based upon two sets of database - a collection of 46,000,000 news on 127 media in Naver Portal operated by Naver Corporation and a collection of 70,000 academic papers of social sciences registered in KCI (Korea Citation Index of National Research Foundation) between 2005-2017, 40 most frequently occurring keywords were selected. Next, their temporal variations were traced and compared in terms of number and pattern of frequencies. In addition, core issues of the future were identified through keyword network analysis. In the case of the media news database, such issues as economy, polity or technology turned out to be the top ranked ones. As to the academic paper database, however, top ranking issues are those of feeling, working or living. Referring to the system and life-world conceptual framework suggested by $J{\ddot{u}}rgen$ Habermas, public interest of the future inclines to the matter of 'system' while professional interest of the future leans to that of 'life-world.' Given the disparity of future interest, a 'mismatch paradigm' is proposed as an alternative to social forecasting, which can substitute the existing paradigms based on the ideas of deficiency or deprivation.

Recently, digital health care technology is spreading and developing in various fields. Therefore, in this paper, we realized that the field to which digital healthcare technology is not applied is the field of optometry, and implemented a digital healthcare optometry system for precise lens manufacturing. A device called Phoroptor is used to manufacture the lens, and this device sets the lens by measuring the visual acuity of the person who requested the glasses. And when the person to be measured wears glasses, a device called a PD meter is used to align the pupil center and lens focus. However, there is a limit to the convenience of precise lens production and optometry due to the absence of a database and program that can accumulate and analyze the PD measurement error, inconvenience and error due to manual control of the Phoroptor, and optometric information. Therefore, in this paper, PD meter design for more accurate PD measurement, Phoroptor design and Phoroptor control application design for automatic Phoroptor control, and a database and analysis program that automatically set lenses using optometry information for each subject had been designed. Based on this, ultimately, a digital healthcare optometry system using an optometry database has been implemented.

Objectives: Based on the results from the Korean Total Diet Study (KTDS), the sodium (Na) and potassium (K) intake of Koreans were estimated and compared with intake estimates from the Food & Nutrient Database (FNDB), as in the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) to verify the validity of these estimates. Methods: One hundred and thirty-four representative foods (RFs) covering 92.5% of the total food intake of Koreans were selected, and 228 pairs of corresponding 'RF x representative cooking method' were derived by reflecting the methods used mainly in terms of frequency and quantity in their cooking. RF samples were collected from three cities with a larger population size in three regions (nine cities) nationwide, and six composite samples were made for each RF, considering its regional and/or seasonal characteristics. One thousand three hundred and sixty-eight 'RF x representative cooking method' pair samples were prepared, and the Na and K contents were assessed using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-MS). The Na and K intake of the Korean population was estimated by linking the content with the food intake data from the 7th KNHANES. Results: The mean Na and K intake of Koreans were 2,807.4 mg and 2,335.0 mg per person per day, respectively. A comparison with the Na and K intake from KNHANES, including only RFs of KTDS, showed comparable results with less than 5% variation. While the contribution and ranking of food items to Na intake were similar between KNHANES and KTDS, there were differences in K intake. This was attributed to the large discrepancies in the K content of rice and coffee between KTDS results and the values in the 9th Revision of the National Food Composition Table used in KNHANES. Conclusions: The Na and K intake of Koreans estimated based on the KTDS, which performed nutrient analysis on samples prepared to a 'table-ready' state using foods of the representative collection, was similar and comparable with that of KNHANES. This supports the validity and usefulness of FNDB-based nutrient intake estimation at the population level. The list of nutrients studied in KTDS is expected to be expanded, allowing for intake estimation of nutrients with currently insufficient or absent information in the FNDBs in use.

This study aims to evaluate the safe operating envelope (SOE) for light aircraft carriers using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling database of flight deck air-wake. Assessing the SOE is crucial for ensuring the safe operation of carrier-based aircraft, particularly during take-off and landing maneuvers. Traditional methods that only consider relative wind envelopes (RWE) provide basic information but fail to account for the complex airflow patterns over the flight deck. To address this limitation, this research utilizes CFD to analyze the air-wake and integrate these findings into the SOE assessment. Various studies on CFD modeling of airflow around naval ships and aircraft carriers were reviewed, confirming the importance of accurate airflow databases for operational safety. This study employs the KRISO-CVX1 model, a light aircraft carrier designed by the Korea Research Institute of Ships & Ocean Engineering (KRISO), to demonstrate the application of CFD data in SOE evaluations. The methodology involves a detailed analysis of turbulent flow and thermal fields around the carrier deck under different wind speed, direction, and ship speed conditions. The results indicate significant variations in air-wake characteristics depending on the relative wind speed and direction, impacting the operational safety of carrier-based aircraft. This study emphasizes the need for incorporating CFD-based airflow data into SOE assessments to enhance the accuracy and reliability of operational safety evaluations for aircraft carriers. In conclusion, the integration of CFD air-wake modeling databases provides a more comprehensive approach to assessing the SOE, offering improved safety margins for carrier-based aircraft operations. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more robust and precise operational guidelines for naval aviation.
Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the safety of iodine intake based on ingestion levels and urinary iodine excretion of women of childbearing age (15-45 years old) using data from the 2013-2015 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Methods: Iodine intake was calculated using the 24 hours dietary recall method and urinary iodine excretion. The iodine nutrition database for the analysis of dietary iodine intake was constructed using the food composition database of the Rural Development Administration (RDA), the Korean Nutrition Society (KNS), the Ministries of Food and Drug Safety, China and, Japan. The World Health Organization (WHO) evaluation criteria and hazard quotient (HQ) calculated using biomonitoring equivalents (BE) were applied to evaluate the safety of the iodine intake. Results: Of the study subjects, 15.22% had a urinary iodine concentration level of less than 100 ㎍/L, which was diagnosed as deficient, and 48.16% had an excessive iodine concentration of over 300 ㎍/L. Urinary iodine concentration was 878.71 ㎍/L, iodine/creatinine was 589.00 ㎍/g, and iodine/creatinine was significantly higher at the age of 30-45 years. The dietary iodine intake was 273.47 ㎍/day, and the iodine intake calculated from the urinary iodine excretion was 1,198.10 ㎍/day. Foods with a high contribution to iodine intake were vegetables, seafood, seaweed and processed foods. The HQ was 1.665 when the urinary iodine content was > 1,000 ㎍/L. Conclusion: The results of this study implicate that the urinary iodine concentration, rather than the dietary iodine intake, is more appropriate to evaluate the iodine status under the current situation that a comprehensive iodine database for Koreans has not been established.

The objectives of this study were to examine the production processes and methods of "Forest Type Map Actualization Production (Database (DB) Construction Work Manual)" (Work Manual) identify issues associated with the production processes and methods, and suggest solutions for them by applying evaluation items to a 1:5k digital forest type map. The evaluation items applied to a forest type map were divided into zoning and attributes, and the issues associated with the production processes and methods of Work Manual were derived through analyzing the characteristics of the stand structure and fragmentation by administrative districts. Korea is divided into five divisions, where one is set as the area changed naturally and the other four areas set as the area changed artificially. The area changed naturally has been updated every five years, and those changed artificially have been updated annually. The fragmentation of South Korea was analyzed in order to examine the consistency of the DB established for each region. The results showed that, in South Korea, the number of patches increased and the mean patch size decreased. As a result, the degree of fragmentation and the complexity of shapes increased. The degree of fragmentation and the complexity of shapes decreased in four regions out of 17 regions (metropolitan cities and provinces). The results indicated that there were spatial variations. The "Forest Classification" defines the minimum area of a zoning as 0.1ha. This study examined the criteria for the minimum area of a zoning by estimating the divided object (polygon unit) in a forest type map. The results of this study revealed that approximately 26% of objects were smaller than the minimum area of a zoning. The results implied that it would be necessary to establish the definition and the regeneration interval of "Areas Changed Artificially and Areas Changed Naturally", and improve the standard for the minimum area of a zoning. Among the attributes of Work Manual, "Species Change" item classifies terrain features into 52 types, and 43 types of them belong to stocking land. This study examined distribution ratios by extracting species information from the forest type map. It was found that each of 23 species, approximately 53% of species, occupied less than 0.1% of Forested land. The top three species were pine and other species. Although undergrowth on unstocked forest land are classified in the terrain feature system, their definition and classification criteria are not established in the "Forest Classification" item. Therefore, it will be needed to reestablish the terrain feature system and set the definitions of undergrowth.

We have provided a variety of domestic construction technology related full-text services through the Construction Technology Digital Library system since 2001. CODIL is a system that services the database related to construction technology data. On the other hand, there is growing demand for DB every year, but the required budget is shrinking. Therefore, this study investigated the satisfaction to effectively service the construction technique-related full-text with a limited budget. The monetary value of full-text to express satisfaction with the quantified value was estimated using the Tobit model. The Tobit model is used as a contingent valuation method to estimate the value of non-market goods. This model is the limited dependent variable regression model to observations by censoring the limit of the left side or right side so that a biased outlier is not reflected in the willingness to pay. A survey was conducted by sampling 312 respondents. The mean, median, truncating the willingness of payment were calculated for the six types of the full-text services using the Tobit model. The statistically significant variables affecting the willingness to pay for the full-text services were identified. The mean value of per the full-text service was estimated to be 46,530 won. The significance of this study was to use the Tobit model to estimate the value of the construction technology-related full-text services for the first time in Korea.

Background : The objective of this study is proving the basic data for developing a management system for the discharges against medical advice(AMA) by identifying the characteristics of the AMA patients of an university hospital for 10 years. Methods : By using discharge abstract data base, we divided the total discharges(435,254) into two groups, discharge against medical advice and discharge with discharge order. We confirmed the characteristics of AMA group by analyzing discharge abstract data of the both groups by SAS software V6.12 and $x^2$ test. Medical records of AMA patients in the year 2000 were reviewed to identify the reasons for AMA which we couldn't extract from discharge abstract DB. Result : The total number of AMA for 10 years were 9,358(2.15%) and the AMA rate has been continuously decreased for 10 years. Male, admission through emergency room, discharges admission via other hospital, patients without operation during hospitalization, discharges in hopeless or not improved condition showed higher AMA rate. The AMA rate was higher as the age of the patients was higher, and the average length of stay was longer in AMA patients than in those with discharge order. The AMA rate in psychiatry was highest(14.3%) and it was higher in surgery departments than those of medical or other sections. The AMA rate varied by attending physicians even in the same department and it was statistically significant. Patients with the principal diagnosis of "medical observation and evaluation for suspected diseases" showed the highest AMA rate(15.5%), and that of schizophrenia or psychosis was the nest. One hundred twenty-one patients(19.5%) out of 622 AMA in 2000 discharged against medical advice for transfer to order health care facilities. Among them 71 patients(58.7%) discharged with their medical care information, such as copies of medical record, medical certificates, summaries, etc. Written oath of the patients discharged AMA was filed in their medical records in 466 cases(74.9%) although some of them were incomplete. Conclusion : Characteristics of AMA discharge could be used as the basic data in developing a system to manage the patients who have risk factors to leave the hospital against medical advice. By reducing number of patients leaving the hospital against medical advice we can increase satisfaction of medical providers and consumers.
