Data Security in Unattended Wireless Sensor Networks through Aggregate Signcryption

  • In this paper, we propose aggregate signcryption for achieving data security in UWSNs. The main challenge of these networks established in sensitive environments is offline sink visiting. Moreover, the sensors must retain collected data for long enough time to offload them onto the itinerant sink. Thus, the unattended nature of data collection intervals might offer the adversary the opportunity to apply various attacks without detection. In this paper, employing low order operations (in time and space), we propose a new secure scheme in which various security goals such as confidentiality (through encrypting), authentication and integrity (through signing) are achieved. In addition, the aggregation process of our scheme reduces the space and communication overheads both for sensors and sink, i.e. the proposed technique efficiently enables the sensors and sink to protect, verify and recover all the related data. We further compare our scheme with the best alternative work in the literature.

  • 새로운 구조의 622Mbps급 버스트 모드 클럭/데이터 복원 회로를 구현하였다. 회로는 2개의 muxed oscillator (MO)와 위상 동기 회로 등으로 구성되어 있으며, passive optical network(PON) 시스템에 사용될 수 있도록 instantaneous locking 특성을 갖는다. 또한. 지터가 내재된 데이터가 인가되어도 데이터에 따라 클럭이 연동되어 항상 최적의 샘플링 포인트를 갖는다. 이 회로는 0.35$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS 공정을 이용하여 제작되었다. 측정 결과 제안된 클럭/데이터 복원 회로는 400Mbps 680MbPs 까지의 버스트 모드 입력 데이터를 에러없이 복원하였다.

수신기에서 부가정보가 필요 없는 Selected Mapping 기법 (Selected Mapping without Side Information at the Receiver)

  • SLM(selected mapping)은 OFDM(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing)의 PAPR(peak to average power ratio)을 줄이는 효과적인 방법이다. 데이터를 복구하기 위해서 수신기는 송신기가 선택한 스크램블링 수열의 색인정보인 부가정보 SI(side information)를 알아야한다. 본 논문에서는 수신기가 SI 없이 데이터를 복원할 수 있도록 함으로써 구현 복잡도를 낮출 수 있는 새로운 SLM 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법에서는 다중 경로 채널과 IDFT(inverse discrete fourier transform)된 스크램블링 수열의 컨볼루션에 해당하는 가상 다중 경로 채널을 가정한다. 파일럿을 사용해 측정한 가상 채널을 바탕으로 데이터를 복원함으로써 SI 없이도 수신기가 데이터를 복원할 수 있다. 제안된 SLM 방법이 이전 SLM 방법들과 비슷한 PAPR 성능 및 BER 성능을 가짐을 모의실험을 통해 보인다.

  • 인터넷을 기반으로 한 오디오 데이터 전송 시 발생되는 품질의 열화를 극복하여 고품질의 오디오 재생이 가능한, 고품질 오디오 스트리밍 서비스를 위한 복합적 QoS 보장 기법을 제안한다. 오디오 데이터는 연속성과 시간제약성을 가지고 있기 때문에 전송시 통신망의 상황에 따라 그 재생 품질이 결정된다. 이때 필요한 QoS 보장 기법으로, 인터넷의 상황에 따라 동적으로 전송률을 가변 시키면서 손실된 패킷의 재전송과 동적 버퍼 제어 기법을 복합적으로 적용하는 기법을 적용하였다. 클라이언트 내의 버퍼를 현재 망 상황에 따라 제어함으로써 재전송에 필요한 시간을 확보하고, 전송률도 함께 연동 조정하여 재전송에 따른 전송률 저하 현상을 방지한다. 실제 인터넷 환경에서 복합적 QoS 보장기법을 적용하여 고품질로 재생되는 오디오 스트리밍 서비스의 성능을 확인하였다.

NEW PHOTOMETRIC PIPELINE TO EXPLORE TEMPORAL AND SPATIAL VARIABILITY WITH KMTNET DEEP-SOUTH OBSERVATIONS

  • The DEEP-South (the Deep Ecliptic Patrol of the Southern Sky) photometric census of small Solar System bodies produces massive time-series data of variable, transient or moving objects as a by-product. To fully investigate unexplored variable phenomena, we present an application of multi-aperture photometry and FastBit indexing techniques for faster access to a portion of the DEEP-South year-one data. Our new pipeline is designed to perform automated point source detection, robust high-precision photometry and calibration of non-crowded fields which have overlap with previously surveyed areas. In this paper, we show some examples of catalog-based variability searches to find new variable stars and to recover targeted asteroids. We discover 21 new periodic variables with period ranging between 0.1 and 31 days, including four eclipsing binary systems (detached, over-contact, and ellipsoidal variables), one white dwarf/M dwarf pair candidate, and rotating variable stars. We also recover astrometry (< ${\pm}1-2$ arcsec level accuracy) and photometry of two targeted near-earth asteroids, 2006 DZ169 and 1996 SK, along with the small- (~0.12 mag) and relatively large-amplitude (~0.5 mag) variations of their dominant rotational signals in R-band.

임베디드 멀티미디어 시스템을 위한 파일 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (A File System for Embedded Multimedia Systems)

  • Nowadays, we have many embedded systems which store and process multimedia data. For multimedia systems using hard disks as storage media such as DVR, existing file systems are not the right choice to store multimedia data in terms of cost. performance and reliability. In this study we designed a reliable file system with very high performance for embedded multimedia applications. The proposed file system runs with quite simple disk layout to reduce time to initialize and to recover after power failures, uses a large data block to speed up the sequential accesses, incorporates a time-based indexing scheme to improve the time-based random accesses and boosts reliability by backing up the important meta data on a small NVRAM. We implemented the file system on a Linux-based DVR and verified the performance by comparing with existing file systems.

Diagnosis and recovering on spatially distributed acceleration using consensus data fusion

  • The acceleration information is significant for the structural health monitoring, which is the basic measurement to identify structural dynamic characteristics and structural vibration. The efficiency of the accelerometer is subsequently important for the structural health monitoring. In this paper, the distance measure matrix and the support level matrix are constructed firstly and the synthesized support level and the fusion method are given subsequently. Furthermore, the synthesized support level can be served as the determination for diagnosis on accelerometers, while the consensus data fusion method can be used to recover the acceleration information in frequency domain. The acceleration acquisition measurements from the accelerometers located on the real structure National Aquatics Center are used to be the basic simulation data here. By calculating two groups of accelerometers, the validation and stability of diagnosis and recovering on acceleration based on the data fusion are proofed in the paper.

Association measure of doubly interval censored data using a Kendall's 𝜏 estimator

  • In this article, our interest is to estimate the association between consecutive gap times which are subject to interval censoring. Such data are referred as doubly interval censored data (Sun, 2006). In a context of serial event, an induced dependent censoring frequently occurs, resulting in biased estimates. In this study, our goal is to propose a Kendall's 𝜏 based association measure for doubly interval censored data. For adjusting the impact of induced dependent censoring, the inverse probability censoring weighting (IPCW) technique is implemented. Furthermore, a multiple imputation technique is applied to recover unknown failure times owing to interval censoring. Simulation studies demonstrate that the suggested association estimator performs well with moderate sample sizes. The proposed method is applied to a dataset of children's dental records.

Multicasting Multiple Description Coding Using p-cycle Network Coding

  • This paper deliberates for a multimedia transmission scheme combining multiple description coding (MDC) and network coding (NC). Our goal is to take advantage from the property of MDC to provide quantized and compressed independent and identically distributed (iid) descriptions and also from the benefit of network coding, which uses network resources efficiently to recover lost data in the network. Recently, p-cycle NC has been introduced to recover and protect any lost or distorted descriptions at the receiver part exactly without need of retransmission. So far, MDC have not been explored using this type of NC. Compressed and coded descriptions are transmitted through the network where p-cycle NC is applied. P-cycle based algorithm is proposed for single and multiple descriptions lost. Results show that in the fixed bit rate, the PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) of our reconstructed image and also subjective evaluation is improved significantly compared to previous work which is averaging method joint with MDC in order to conceal lost descriptions.

  • Purpose: to purpose prevent to dysfunction and decrease to pain level use to active therapeutic movement and sling manual, stability exercise in shortening hamstring chronic back patient. Methods: The patient's complain was Buttock and Lower Back Pain due to dysfunction posture work. The subject's initial Pain Scale was 60 of 100(VAS). The Subject Treatment to Sling Mobility exercise, Home exercise, ATM, Sling Stability exercise, sensory motor training During 8weeks for 18 times. Results: The result was Visual Analog Scale(VAS)was decreased 10 of 100 after treatment. Conclusion: Visual Analog Scale(VAS)was decreased 10 of 100 after treatment. Functional Leg Length Was recover to same level. Trunk Flexibility was increase to 18cm. Active Knee Extension ankle was decrease to $15^{\circ}$ limit range of motion due to Lt. Hamstring Shortening limit range of motion $30^{\circ}$. GPS(Gobal Postural System)test was recover to same level. This case study need to sufficient data and times.
