A Study of T/R Module Output Compensation Method for Active Synthetic Aperture Radar (능동형 SAR 시스템의 송수신 모듈 출력 보정 방법 연구)

  • In this paper, a compensation method of the amplitude and phase errors from the T/R(Transmit/Receive) modules in an active SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) system is introduced. The errors are defined and classified, and characterized by analyzing the measurement data acquired from the pilot test. To compensate these errors, a control methodology of T/R modules output is proposed. Before the compensation is applied, 16 T/R modules integrated on the active SAR antenna show the amplitude in 28.2~29.0 dBm and the phase in $101.7^{\circ}{\sim}165.2^{\circ}$. After the compensation, the amplitude and phase are distributed in 27.4~28.0 dBm and $116.1^{\circ}{\sim}120.0^{\circ}$ respectively. The antenna beam patterns generated by the array theory with the distributions are compared, and the proposed method is verified as good to apply for the active SAR system.

  • 본 연구에서는 3상 능동 직렬형 전압 보상기의 제어 알고리즘으로 공간 벡터 검출법(3-D SV)을 제안하고 있다. 제안된 3차원 공간 벡터법은 종전의 순시전력이론에 의한 방법에 비해 보상 기준치 연산과정을 간략화 할 수 있고 좌표변환이 필요치 않다. 제안된 알고리즘은 전원전압의 순간적인 sag가 발생되더라도 비선형 부하에 인가되는 전압은 일정한 정현파로 제어 가능하며 동시에 전원전류의 고조파와 기본파 무효전류도 보상 가능하다. 정상상태와 과도상태에서 전력전자전용 시뮬레이터인 PSIM에 의해 제안된 이론의 타당성을 입증하였다.

  • In this paper, we designed a wedge type rail-clamp which can protect container crane from sudden wind blast with constant clamping force regardless of the operating period. When we design wedge type rail clamp, it is important to determine an angle of wedge which prevent rotating of jaw and for smooth operation when wind blows. Therefore, this paper suggest a process to decide an angle of wedge within proper range obtained by experimental analysis as well as FEA of the wedge type rail clamp. A model with $6^{\circ}$ wedge angle is the most proper model to use in rail clamp bemuse it generated satisfactory clamping force and rotating angle underdesign specification.

  • 포항공과대학교의 포항풍력에너지연구소(PoWER Center)가 개발에 참여했던 750 kW급 직결형 국산화 풍력발전 시스템의 상용화를 추진하기 위한 출력성능 및 하중 측정을 통한 실증연구가 대관령의 풍력실증단지에서 수행되었다. IEC 61400-13의 규격을 기준으로 수행된 하중 측정의 일환으로 스트레인 게이지의 기계적 하중에 대한 외부 하중부가에 의한 기계적 보정이 추진되었다. 기계적 보정의 수행 중 일부스트레인 게이지가 단락되는 사고가 발생하였으나 비교보정을 통하여 기계적 보정작업을 완수할 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 외부 하중부가에 의한 기계적 하중의 보정절차를 소개하고, 수행된 기계적 보정시험 과정에 대해 상세히 설명하며 기계적 보정의 결과를 보고한다.

A Study on the Effect of Energy Saving with Newly Implemented Vertical Circulating Tray Mixer in Anaerobic digester (혐기성 소화조의 에너지 효율 향상을 위한 수직 왕복형 교반기 적용에 관한 연구)

  • Relatively low efficiency in anaerobic digestion process is mainly caused by unproper mixing method. In this study, tray motion type agitator was applied in actual anaerobic digestion tank in order to improve the digestion efficiency, equalize the flow velocity distribution and energy saving. The impeller of tray motion type agitator was reciprocated vertically. Gas lift type agitator and tray motion type agitator appears almost same mixing efficiency include digestion rates. However, tray motion type agitator have shown that lower energy consumption compared to the conventional gas lift type agitator. Implementation of tray motion type agitator in the anaerobic digestion tanks contributed to the stabilization of mixing environment, efficiency and energy efficiency of the tank.

  • A brushless DC (BLDC) motor control system for four-axis driving fins to control the flight attitude of a guided artillery munition is developed in this study. This system adopts a simple sensorless control scheme without a Hall sensor. A 12-step driving sensorless BLDC motor scheme is used to improve the output torque. This system has many restrictive problems that hinder the verification of a real system. For example, this has cost and environmental limitations. Therefore, this study develops HILS to verify a four-axis driving fin control system and verifies the position control system hardware by HILS operation.

  • In this paper, a BLDC(Brushless DC) motor control system for driving fins to control the flight attitude of the guided artillery munition is developed. This system adopts a sensorless control scheme without any position sensor such as a Hall sensor fragile at high altitudes. The sensorless control of the BLDC motor is achieved by using commutation signals obtained from the measured pole voltages. The position control of the fin is also performed by using of the estimated speed from the commutation signals. The experimental results on the actual fin drive system demonstrated that the developed sensorless control algorithm can give an excellent position control performance.

  • For keeping the indoor air quality, we develop the pulsating heat pipe(PHP) type heat recovery ventilator using an used radiator for vehicles. We compare the PHP type with existing model. There are some merits that are able to change the unit number according to heat load and show us the similar performance to existing models.

A Study on the Optical Internal Recycle Rate and MLSS Concentration of Membrane Coupled $A_2O$ Process for Wastewater Treatment (하수처리를 위한 막결합형 $A_2O$공정에서 최적 내부 순환율 및 MLSS 농도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to obtain practical information about membrane coupled $ A_2O$ system for muncipal wastewater treatment. A flat-plate microfiltration (MF) module with a pore size $0.25\;{\mu}m$ was submerged into the aeration basin and treated water was filtrated through the membrane by continuous suction with low pressure. The system was operated with synthetic wastewater to find operational parameters of internal recycle ratio and maximum MLSS showing best water quality and long-term stability. The internal recycle was defined as type 1 for aerobic to anoxic tank and type 2 for anoxic to anaerobic tank, respectively When the flux was maintained at $0.015\;m^3/m^2/hr$ (15 LMH) with 2Q type 1 internal recycle ratio, the optimal operational setting were 10 internal recycle ratio for type 2 and maximum MLSS of 11,000 mg/L among tested conditions. At this condition, removal efficiencies of BOD, CODcr, T-N and T-P showed $97.3\%,\;94.2\%,\;64.0\%,\;63.0\%$, respectively.

  • This paper presents the design approach and test results of the Q-band precision subminiature coaxial adaptor based on transmission line theory using multi-step impedance and air-holes to increase its cutoff frequency. In order to increase the frequency performance, the adaptor is designed with hooked structure, fixing step, multi-air-holes, and outer conductor. The return loss increments due to the hooked structure and multi air-holes are minimized to 2 dB and 1.5 dB, respectively. A VSWR(Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) of <1.2 is obtained from DC to 40 GHz, while guaranteeing the durability of the adaptor from room-temperature$(25^{\circ}C)$ to $120^{\circ}C$.
