실리콘 웨이퍼 연마헤드의 강제구동 방식이 웨이퍼 연마 평탄도에 미치는 영향 연구 (Effects of Forced Self Driving Function in Silicon Wafer Polishing Head on the Planarization of Polished Wafer Surfaces)

  • Since the semiconductor manufacturing requires the silicon wafers with extraordinary degree of surface flatness, the surface polishing of wafers from ingot cutting is an important process for deciding surface quality of wafers. The present study introduces the development of wafer polishing equipment and, especially, the wafer polishing head that employs the forced self-driving of installed silicon wafer as well as the wax wafer mounting technique. A series of wafer polishing tests have been carried out to investigate the effects of self-driving function in wafer polishing head. The test results for wafer planarization showed that the LLS counts and SBIR of polished wafer surfaces were generally improved by adopting the self-driven polishing head in wafer polishing stations.

프탈로시아닌계 광전도성 유기박막의 제조에 관한 연구 (A study on the preparation of phthalocyanine optoelectric thin films)

  • A double layered photoreceptor using phthalocyanine dye was made by dip-coating method. The under cutting layer(UCL) was coated with A1$\_$2/O$\_$3/ or polyamide, and the charge generation layer(CGL) was formed by .tau.-type metal-free phthalocyanine. The oxadiazole was used as a charge transport layer(CTL) and polycarbonate and poly(vinyl butyral) was employed as a host polymer. The .tau.-H$\_$2/Pc had an absorption peak around 780nm, which coincided with the emitting wavelengths of GaAlAs diode lasers. Maximum charge acceptance of CTL that gives thickness of 12.mu.m was -900V by corona charge of -6.0kV. In photo-induced discharge measurements, residual potential was less than -20V and sufficient for ordinary use, and sample films using of poly(vinyl butyral) was showed good charge retention. In printing test, drum that was employed polycarbonate as a host polymer showed the good print quality.

Influence of processing parameters for adhesion strength of TiN films prepared by AIP technique

  • The arc ion plating (AIP) technique has been used widely for thin coating in the area of surface engineering. The TiN coating is important in the field of dies, cutting tools and other mechanical parts. When forming the TiN films by AIP technique, the processing parameters such as arc power, bias voltage, working pressure, temperature of substrate and pre-treatment affected the adhesion respectively. The results of scratch test revealed that the adhesion strength was influenced by arc power most strongly. And a sequence of the importance of each parameters has been obtained. The crystal structure and cross-section of TiN films are also be investigated.

  • Recently, the trends toward reduction in size and weight of industrial products increased the application of micro hole for manufacturing gadgets of high precision and gave rise to a great deal of interest for micro hole drilling M/C. Quite a few research work is performed on micro drilling on domestic basis compared with the tendency of analyzing cutting mechanism, adaptive control, monitoring of generally available drills of diameter greater than 1mm. This study adresses the design, manufacturing and controlling a micro hole drilling M/C with the overload detection instrument and the step feed mechanism. Controlling and monitoring of the drilling process are acomplished on PC basis for more user interfaces and effectiveness. The test machine of the results of this research shows a good foundation for extending further micro hole machining technique.

Metabolomic approach for evaluating drug response

  • Metabolomics is an emerging technology which makes it possible to evaluate change of biological system in response to the physiological, environmental alterations. It has advantages in the simplicity and sensitivity to analyze metabolites since the researcher can use cutting edge instrument, such as mass spectrometry and simple sample preparation method compared to genomics or proteomics. Nowadays this technology has been tried in pharmaceutical area to investigate toxicity and efficacy of drug candidates and drugs in preclinical test. The metabolomic applications on the pharmaceutics for early prediction on toxicity and efficacy are described in this presentation. The multivariate analysis to get metabolic fingerprinting and its relations with the physiological changes are investigated with several drugs. Feasibility of metabolomic application for pharmaceutical area would be suggested from those researches.

절임정도에 따른 배추김치의 질감과 맛에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Texture and Taste of Kimchi in Various Saltings)

  • The effects of salting degree of cabbage on the chemical, microbiological, textural changes and taste of Korean whole cabbage Kimchi fermented at $21^{\circ}C$ was studied. Low salted Kimchi (1.8% NaCl, soaking for 2 hr. in 20% brine) was showed higher total acdity than high salted Kimchi II(3.1% NaCl, Soaking For 8 hr in 20% brine) and III(2.9% NaCl, no soaking in 20% brine). The changes in growth of lactic acid bacteria was relevant to the salt content of whole cabbage Kimchi. Kimchi I was showed higher growth rate of Lactic acid bacteria and slower death rate constant of Lactic acid bacteria than that of Kimchi II and III. In palatability test, salty taste of Kimchi II, III was more salty than that of Kimchi I ($p{\leqq}0.01$) and total evaluation of Kimchi I, II was more palatable than Kimchi III ($p{\leqq}0.05$) at 3rd's day (optimum taste). Cutting force by Rheometer was well correlated with the salt content of Kimchi.

절삭가공에서 퍼지알고리즘을 이용한 칩형상 예측 (Chip Form Prediction using Fuzzy Logic in Turning)

  • In turning, the chip may be produced in the form of continuous chip or discontinuous chip. The continuous chips are dangerous to the operator and difficult to be handled at high speed machining. The signal of AE(Acoustic Emission) is found out to be related to cutting conditions, tool materials, test conditions and tool geometry in turning. In this study, the relationship between AE signal and chip form was experimentally investigated. The experimental results show that the types of chip form are possible to be classified from the AE signal using fuzzy logic.

유압시험기 swivel joint의 개발 (Development of swiver joint on hydraulic machine)

  • The swivel joint is an important part in hydraulic machine. The analysis on the material was made using the EDAX method to localize the swivel joint. Also, the modeling and design drawing were finalized with application of 3 dimensional measurement and structure analysis. The prototype product based on design drawing was made with cutting and grinding process. No abnormalities were found in the prototype product through the durability test and measurement. The localized swivel joint with light weight, price reduction and diversification was developed in this study.

  • Allowing on-site workers to access information of the construction process can enable task control, data integration, material and resource control. However, in the current practice of the construction industry, the existing methods and scope is quite limited, leading to inefficient management during the construction process. In this research, by adopting cutting edge technologies such as Augmented Reality(AR), digital twins, deep learning and computer vision with wearable AR devices, the authors proposed an AR visualization framework made of virtual components to help on-site workers to obtain information of the construction process with ease of use. Also, this paper investigates wearable AR devices and object detection algorithms, which are critical factors in the proposed framework, to test their suitability.

이미지프로세싱을 이용한 가공면의 표면거칠기 측정에 관한 연구 (A study on the cutting surface roughness measurement by image processing)

  • Many of non-contact measuring systems are used to estimate surface characteristics owing to their advantages of high speed and undanaged test. In this paper, a new measuring system is proposed to acquire image from CCD camera through back light illumination. Lowpass filter is very useful in view of noise removal and optimum binary image can be made through histogram equalization which is one of the histogram technique to maximize brightness intensity between workpiece and background. Laplacian operator is used to detect workpiece edge from binary image. In case of image treatment applying Laplacian operator, surface roughness is calculated by introducing conversion coefficient for coordinate of pixel which edge is composed of. In summary, the work is concerned with the development of a new technique for roughness measurement by the image processing in turning.
