  • 고차조화파를 이용해 아토초 펄스를 생성시킬 수 있음은 최근 여러 연구자들에 의해 이론적으로 제시되어 왔다. 아토초 펄스의 생성은 기본적으로 고차조화파 발생을 이용하여 생성되므로 고차조화파의 연구가 선행되어야 하며, 이에 대한 연구는 이미 많은 연구자들에 의해 이루어 졌다. 초기에 Kulander 등은 Time dependent Schrdinger equation (TDSE) 을사용하여 수치적으로 계산하여 고차조화파의 이론적 분석을 수행하여 단일원자(single atom)에서 발생하는 고차 조화파의 평탄영역(plateau)과 잘림영역(cutoff) 등을 설명하였고, Corkum 등은 준고전적 (semiclassical) 원자 모델을 사용하는 물리적 모형을 제안하여 이 때 계산된 고차조화파가 실험결과 및 완전한 양자역학적 결과와 유사하게 나타남을 보였다.   • Ultrasonic guided waves are gaining increasing attention for the inspection of platelike and rodlike structures. At the same time, inspection methods that do not require contact with the test piece are being developed for advanced applications. This paper capitalizes on recent advances in the areas of guided wave ultrasonics and noncontact ultrasonics to demonstrate a superior method for the nondestructive detection of thinning defects simulating hidden corrosion in thin aluminum plates. The proposed approach uses EMAT(electro-magnetic acoustic transducer) for the noncontact generation and detection of guided plate waves. Interesting features in the dispersive behavior of selected guided modes are used for the detection of plate thinning. It is shown that mode cutoff measurements provide a qualitative detection of thinning defects. Measurement of the mode group velocity can be also used to quantify of thinning depth.

Microarray Analysis of Gene Expression by Ginseng Water Extracts in a Mouse Adrenal Cortex after Immobilization Stress

  • To investigate the effects of repeated immobilization-stress challenge on the the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, the genomic transcriptome in the adrenal cortex of immobilization-stressed mouse was analyzed by using a cDNA microarray. Mice were subjected to immobilization stress for 2 h per day for 5 consecutive d. With a 4.0-fold cutoff of arbitrary criteria, the expression levels of 168 out of 41,174 genes were significantly modulated in the adrenal cortex by stress when comparing the control and experimental groups. These genes were related to apoptosis, cell cycle, immune response, inflammatory responses, and signal transduction, and thus may be used as potential targets for the development of therapeutics for chronic stress or depression. Six significant genes among these were selected for real time polymerase chain reaction analysis to confirm the change of their expression levels. The gene for phospho 1 was also further investigated because its expression showed the greatest fold-change.

  • The elliptic filters are optimal in the sense that the magnitude characteristic exhibits the steepest slope at the cutoff frequency. The other characteristics such as delay and step response, however, are rather undesirable. In this paper, the modified elliptic low-pass filter function is proposed. The modified elliptic function possesses progressively diminishing ripples in both passband and stopband, and the lower pole-Q, values when compared to the elliptic counterparts, thus producting the flatter delay characteristics and improved time-domain performances. And it is realizable in the doubley-terminated ladder structures for the order n even or odd, thus lending themselves amaenable to high-quality active RC or switched capacitor filters through the simulation techniques.

고속 광통신용 GaInAs/InP PIN 수광소자 모듈 제작

  • We fabricated very high. speed PIN Photodiode module for the application of high speed optical receiver. OMVPE was used for the growth of InP layer on InGaAs absorption layer. The structure was the combination of mesa and planartype. Fabrication procedure was more complicated than simple mesa or simple planar type structure because we used semiinsulating InP substrate in order to reduce stray capacitance. The results at-5V were as follows : dark current was less than 1nA, capacitance was 0.55pF, and cutoff frequency was above 3GHz, and rise and fall time was about 100ps.

  • 관성항법장치의 빠른 정렬을 위해 통상 센서(자이로, 가속도계) 데이터에 대해 전처리를 수행한다. 이때 외부진동이 인가되고 있는 환경에서 관성항법장치 정렬루프에서 사용하던 전처리 필터를 항법진입과 동시에 제거하면, 큰 초기 자세오차가 발생할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 초기 자세오차를 줄이기 위한 기법(차단주파수 변경, 실시간 자세추종)을 제안하였으며, 전산모의시험을 통해 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, a voltage-controlled frequency tunable current-mode integrator and a 3rd-order current-mode Chebyshev filter in 1.8V-$0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS is realized for software radio applications in system-on-chips. This filter is used for reconstruction purposes between a current-steering DAC and a current-mode mixer. Power consumption of the designed filter can be reduced by using a current-mode small size integrator. And also, cutoff frequency of this filter is variable between 1.2MHz and 10.1MHz, the power consumption is 2.85mW. And the voltage bias compensated circuit is used to control the voltage variation.in the designed filter.

두께감육 평가를 위한 비접촉식 초음파 센서 네트워크를 이용한 토모그래프 기술 개발 (Development of Tomograph Technique for Evaluating Thickness Reduction using Noncontact Ultrasonic Sensor Network)

  • This paper describes a tomographic imaging technique for evaluating the thickness reduction of a plate-like structure using a noncontact sensor network based on an electromagnetic acoustic transducer that generates shear horizontal plate waves. Because this technique is based on the effect of mode cutoff and time of flight of guided waves caused by a change in thickness, the tomographic image provides information on the presence of defects in the structure. To verify the performance of the method, artificial defects with various thickness reduction ratios were machined in an aluminum plate, and the tomographic imaging results are reported. The results show that the generated tomographic image displays the thickness reductions and can identify their locations. Therefore, the proposed technique has good potential as a tool for health monitoring of the integrity of plate-like structures.

Performances of the Directional Control Solenoid Valve for a Combined Power Plant

  • Recently, the combined power plants are refocused rapidly as a replaceable energy system of the nuclear power plant. The large turbine is revolved highly at 1800~3600 rpm. Thus, the turbine speed should be monitored with mechanical and electrical method for a safety. The electrical cutoff valve which blocks the flow channel with the electrical signal is with a built in. The aim of this study is to develop a manufacturing technology through by the localization of a solenoid actuated directional control valve. Especially the results show performances of the solenoid valve by the experiments and modeling and the reliability estimation. Applied load port pressure was changed rapidly on the form of a quadratic curve over time. And in the cases of square waveform when 0~100 V and 20~120 V input voltage, it was driven on a stable state until 13.4 Hz and 16.6 Hz, respectively. We think that this study will give useful data for the electricity safety system of the combined power plant gas turbine.

뇌졸중 환자의 낙상 예측을 위한 Four Square Step Test의 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Clinical Utility of the Four Square Step Test for Predicting Falls in Stroke Patients)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to evaluate the clinical utility of the Four square step test (FSST) for predicting falls in stroke patients, to compare the ability of the FSST test to discriminate between subgroups of fallers, and to determine if the test has any predictive value in identifying stroke patients who will fall. Methods: Stroke patients (N=37) who could walk at least 50 m with minimal assistance were recruited consecutively when attending a physical therapy session during their rehabilitation. Dynamic standing balance was measured using the FSST. The main outcome measures were FSST time and fall number. Numbers of falls were compared with FSST scores. Differences between the groups in FSST scores were examined using a t-test and 1-way analysis of variance. Post hoc analysis using the Tukey B procedure was used to identify specific group differences. Alpha was set at 0.05. Results: A total of 15 participants (40.5%) reported falls 6 had recurrent falls (2 falls) and 9 fell once. The mean FSST time differed significantly between groups with zero and multiple falls. A cutoff score of greater than 17 seconds on the FSST was associated with a sensitivity of 83% and a specificity of 84% for the identification of subjects with multiple risk factors for falls. Conclusion: The FSST is a feasible and valid clinical test of dynamic standing balance and can predict falls in post-stroke patients.
