Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of ultrasound shear wave elastography (SWE) for predicting hepatic fibrosis and native liver outcomes in patients with biliary atresia. Materials and Methods: This prospective study included 33 consecutive patients with biliary atresia (median age, 8 weeks [interquartile range, 6-10 weeks]; male:female ratio, 15:18) from Severance Children's Hospital between May 2019 and February 2022. Preoperative (within 1 week from surgery) and immediate postoperative (on postoperative days [PODs] 3, 5, and 7) ultrasonographic findings were obtained and analyzed, including the SWE of the liver and spleen. Hepatic fibrosis, according to the METAVIR score at the time of Kasai portoenterostomy and native liver outcomes during postsurgical follow-up, were compared and correlated with imaging and laboratory findings. Poor outcomes were defined as intractable cholangitis or liver transplantation. The diagnostic performance of SWE in predicting METAVIR F3-F4 and poor hepatic outcomes was analyzed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analyses. Results: All patients were analyzed without exclusion. Perioperative advanced hepatic fibrosis (F3-F4) was associated with older age and higher preoperative direct bilirubin and SWE values in the liver and spleen. Preoperative liver SWE showed a ROC area of 0.806 and 63.6% (7/11) sensitivity and 86.4% (19/22) specificity at a cutoff of 17.5 kPa for diagnosing F3-F4. The poor outcome group included five patients with intractable cholangitis and three undergoing liver transplantation who showed high postoperative liver SWE values. Liver SWE on PODs 3-7 showed ROC areas of 0.783-0.891 for predicting poor outcomes, and a cutoff value of 10.3 kPa for SWE on POD 3 had 100% (8/8) sensitivity and 73.9% (17/23) specificity. Conclusion: Preoperative liver SWE can predict advanced hepatic fibrosis, and immediate postoperative liver SWE can predict poor native liver outcomes in patients with biliary atresia.

In this article, we consider linear models such as regression, ARIMA (autoregressive integrated moving average), and regression+ARIMA (regression with ARIMA errors) for predicting hourly ozone concentration level in two areas of Daegu. Based on RASE(root average squared error), it is shown that the ARIMA is the best model in one area and that the regression+ARIMA model is the best in the other area. We further analyze the residuals from the optimal models, so that we might predict the ozone warning days where at least one of the hourly ozone concentration levels is over 120 ppb. Based on the training data in the years from 2000 to 2003, it is found that 35 ppb is a good cutoff value of residulas for predicting the ozone warning days. In on area of Daegu, our method predicts correctly one of two ozone warning days of 2004 as well as all of the remaining 364 non-warning days. In the other area, our methods predicts correctly all of one ozone warning days and 365 non-warning days of 2004.

This paper describes the cut off time and the current characteristics of virgin RCDs and deteriorated ones in the seashore. The RCDs(Residual Current Protective Devices) are used for protecting the human body from electrical shock and for preventing facility accidents. According to the Korean standards, the RCDs are installed in panel boards. When RCDs are installed outside, they must be enclosed inside waterproof cases. In the case that RCDs are employed at temporary power sites and electrical facilities on the road they are exposed to the external environment. As a result, the RCDs deteriorated in the seashore for 3 months showed high failure rate, while the virgin RCDs all complied with Korean Standard. Considering that the RCDs are used under exposed condition outside, the reliance of RCDs must be ensured by modifying the related regulations and codes and by developing improved advanced in their performance.
Subsyndromal depression (SSD) is found to be more prevalent than major depressive disorder (MDD) and minor depressive disorder (MnDD). SSD is also associated with adverse clinical outcomes, increased risk of suicide, increased social dysfunction and disability, increased risk for future mood disorders, and increased uses of medical and mental health services. DSM-IV diagnostic criteria are not suitable for capturing SSD. Although there is no agreement on gold standard to define SSD so far, three definitions of SSD are available. First, SSD is defined as having two or more current depressive symptoms without core depressive symptoms (depressive mood or loss of interest) and with time threshold (most of the day and nearly every day over at least two weeks). Second, SSD is defined as having two or more current depressive symptoms with core depressive symptoms and without time threshold. Third, SSD is defined by using cutoff points of depression rating scales. SSD may represent a prodromal, residual, or interepisode symptomatic state in the course of MDD and MnDD. More than a half of SSD patients became any type of depressive disorders (SSD, MnDD and MDD) at 1 year. SSD may represent a discrete category of its own, without prior or consequent episodes of MDD. Considering clinical significance of SSD such as its high prevalence, significant psychosocial impairment and chronicity and serious outcomes, researchers and clinicians should be more vigilant in capturing and caring for patients with SSD.
Three pilot-scale membrane systems were operated using lake water as influent in this study. Microfiltration (MF) membrane with pore size of 0.01 m was used in Systen I of which filtration mode was set at constant pressure of $1kgf/cm^2$. Ultrafiltration (UF) membranes with molecular cutoff (MWCO) of 80,000 and 13,000 were used in System II-1 and II-2, respectively. Constant flow mode was applied at the range between 0.7 and $1.5m^3/m^2{\cdot}d$ (average of $1.1m^3/m^2${\cdot}d) for System II-1 and between 0.37 and $1.65m^3/m^2{\cdot}d$ (average of $1.18m^3/m^2{\cdot}d$) for System II-2. In System I, the flux changed from $1m^3/m^2{\cdot}d$ to $0.2m^3/m^2{\cdot}d$ during the operation time of 5 months. System II showed recovery of 94% under the allowable maximum pressure of $3kgf/cm^2$ during the same operation period. From these results, the efficient operation was observed in constant flow mode with respect to filtration time and recovery. Average filtrate turbidity showed 0.0071 NTU in System I and 0.0054 NTU in System II, which implied that high turbidity removal was obtained in both MF and UF systems with no significant difference between MF and UF. From the fact that membrane flux depends largely on membrane type and operation mode, a guideline of optimum design and operation should be suggested for application of membrane systems to full scale water treatment.

In this paper, a new continuous-time current-mode integrator as basic building block of the low-voltage analyog current-mode active filters is proposed. Compared to the current-mode integrator which is proposed by Zele, the proposed current-mode integrator had higher unity gain frequency and output impedance in addition to lower power dissipation. And also, a current-mode third-order lowpass active filter is designed with the proposed current-mode integrator. The designed circuits are fabricated using the ORBIT's $1.2{\mu}{\textrm{m}}$ deouble-poly double-metal CMOS n-well process. The experimental results show that the filter has -3dB cutoff frequency at 44.5MHz and 3mW power dissipation with single 3.3V power supply and also $0.12mm^{2}$ chip area.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the kinematic variables of the upper part of the body for 8 elderly men during walking. For this study, kinematic data were collected using a six-camera (240Hz) Qualisys ProReflex system. The room coordinate system was right-handed and fixed in space, with righted orthogonal segment coordinate systems defined for the head, trunk, and pelvis. Based on a rigid body model, reflective marker triads were attached on the 3 segments. Three-dimensional Cartesian coordinates for each marker were determined at the time of recording using a nonlinear transformation(NLT) technique with ProReflex software (Qualisys, Inc.). Coordinate data were low-pass filtered using a fourth-order Butterworth with cutoff frequency of 6Hz. Three-dimensional angles of the head, trunk, and pelvis segment were determined using a Cardan method. On the basis of each segment angle, angle-angle plot used to estimated the movement coordinations between segments. The conclusions were as follows; (1) During the support phase of walking, the elderly people generally kept their, head the flexional and abductional posture. Particularly, the elderly displayed little internal/external rotation. (2) The elderly people showed extensional and external rotation postures in the trunk movement. Particularly, It showed the change from adduction into abduction at the heel contact event of the stance phase. (3) The elderly people showed almost same pelvis movement from the flexion into extension, from the abduction into adduction, and from internal rotation into external rotation at the mid stance and toe off of the stance phase.

Background: Conservation of blood during cardiac surgery is important because of the shortage of donor blood, risks associated with transfusion, and the costs of allogeneic blood products. This retrospective study explored the feasibility of off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCAB) without transfusion. Methods: One hundred and two consecutive patients underwent OPCAB from January 2007 to June 2012 at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital. Excluding 10 chronic renal failures patients, 102 patients were enrolled. Their characteristics, clinical data, and laboratory data were analyzed. We investigated the success rate of OPCAB without transfusion according to preoperative hemoglobin (Hb), and the cutoff point of the Hb level and the risk factors for transfusion. We implemented multidisciplinary blood-saving protocols. Results: The overall operative mortality and the success rate of OPCAB without transfusion were 2.9% (3/102) and 73.5% (75/102). The success rates in patients with Hb<11, 11 70 years, diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction, preoperative Hb and creatinine levels, and operation time. The events precipitating the need for transfusion were low Hb level in 9 patients and hypotension or excessive bleeding in 18 patients. Conclusion: The preoperative Hb level of >11 facilitates OPCAB without transfusion. These results suggest that transfusion-free OPCAB can be performed by modifying the risk factors and correctable causes of transfusion and improving various blood salvage methods.

One of the most important things is Hand-0ff(H/O) in mobile phone service. Meantime soft H/O and softer H/O have been used between the same generations(2G$\longleftrightarrow$2G) and there is little problem. With user's needs and the development of communication technology, the system with different generation coexists and pilot beacon and time-periodic beacon are used for H/O between generations(2.5G$\longleftrightarrow$G) to start service, but it is not economic and efficient. To improve such problems, ENHHO developed in April 2001 has recently used. Unfortunately, this method also has the defect of momentary cutoff of communication information during the procedure of H/O in case of mote than 5 pilot signals. Accordingly, we suggest algorithm to improve the problem of ENHHO and examines its propriety by analyzing the results of field survey using the algorithm.

In this paper, A CMOS low-voltage current mode integrator is designed. The designed current-mode integrator is based on linear cascode circuit that is newly proposed in this paper. When it is compared with gain(43.7dB) and unity gain frequency(15.2MHz) of the typical current-mirror type current-mode integrator, the proposed linear cascode current-mode integrator achieves high current gain(47.8dB) and unity gain frequency(27.8MHz). And a 5th Chebyshev current-mode filter with 7.03MHz cutoff frequency is designed. The designed all circuits are simulated by HSPICE using 1.8V-$0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS technology.
