A Study on The Vibration Reduction of a Driver Seat Controlling an MR Fluid Damper (자기유변유체 댐퍼를 이용한 운전석의 진동감쇠에 대한 연구)

  • A seat suspension system with a controlled MR(Magneto Rheological) fluid damper is introduced to improve the ride quality and prevent the health risk of a driver compared to fixed seats. The system is located between a seat cushion and the base, and is composed of a spring, MR fluid damper and controller. The MR fluid damper designed in valve mode is capable of producing a wide range of damping force according to applied currents. In experiments, a person was sitting on the controlled seat excited by a hydraulic system The skyhook control, continuous skyhook control and relative displacement control were applied and the continuous skyhook control improved the vibration suppression by 36.6%.

  • This paper proposes a new 75 fuzzy model approximation method which reduces error in nonlinear fuzzy model approximation over the V-type decision rules. Employing rational Bezier curves used in computer graphics to represent curves or surfaces, the proposed method approximates the decision rule by constructing a tractable linear equation in the highly non-linear fuzzy rule interval. This algorithm is applied to the self-adjusting air cushion for spinal cord injury patients to automatically distribute the patient's weight evenly and balanced to prevent decubitus. The simulation results indicate that the performance of the proposed method is bettor than that of the conventional TS Fuzzy model in terms of error and stability.

  • Hydraulic circuit breaker is the most popular type of electric power circuit breaker because of its superiority of operating performance and capacity. For the improvement of hydraulic circuit breaker's operating performance, it is very important to analyze its dynamic behavior characteristics. In this study, hydraulic circuit is modeled, analyzed and experimented. As a result, the experimental data agree well with the numerical ones, and the numerical results can be applied to the design and the improvement of hydraulic electric power circuit breaker.

  • RV 차량의 쿠션 패널을 생산하여 조립하는 공정은 작업자의 오류로 인한 불량이 많이 발생된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 불량을 제거하기 위한 화상검사장치를 개발함을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 장치개발은 쿠션패널 고정용 지그, 카메라 인식영역, 이송을 위한 X-Y테이블, 카메라 모듈, 제어기 로 구성되어진다. 본 논문에서 제안한 화상검사장치를 설계하고 화상인식 프로그램을 통해 불량을 판정하여 화상검사 시스템의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • The distortion correction system of Head up display that is installed in vehicle has been studied both experimentally and theoretically for the removal of the optical lens distortion. A new adaptive correction method is having a decisive effect on correction in the optical lens distortion of Head up display. This adaptive correction system removes various distortion that has occurred because of the design tolerances of Head up display and the assemble tolerances into vehicle. It is especially efficient in removal of a barrel distortion and pin cushion of Head up display.

  • Wire meling characteristics were examined with variation of gas formers such as $MgCO_3, CaCO_3 and Li_ 2CO_ 3$ by self-shielded flux cored arc welding. The flux cored wire of overlap type was welded by DCRP. The results obtainedareas follows. 1) Drop type was observed with no gas former, repelled type with MgCO_3$ added and short circuit type with $Li_2CO_3$ added. The variation of transfer mode was related to the blowing force of $CO_2$ gas and the surface tension of the slag. 2) Droplet size increased with adding gas formers due to the effect of $CO_2$ gas cushion. 3) Core spikes were observed more frequently with increasing the amount of gas formers.

  • Several air cells are installed in the seat cushion to adjust the stiffness of seat by changing the air pressure. To select proper air pressure in the air cells, two kinds of tests are performed. For the pressure distribution on the seat, the maximum pressure and mean pressure are compared. And for the dynamic ride values, SEAT (Seat Effective Amplitude Transmissibility) values are calculated and compared. These experiments are carried out with three different drivers, three different vehicle speeds on the highway and two different speed on the primary road, and three different air pressures. From the real car tests, optimum air cell pressure depending on the vehicle speed and driver's weight are recommended.

  • This paper examines the pounding problem between adjacent decks subjected to strong earthquakes. The elastomeric bearings in an isolated bridge reduce the stresses on the superstructure and cushion the impact by transferring smaller seismic forces to the substructure. On the other hand, these bearings also allow large horizontal displacement of the superstructure due to seismic forces. Bridges having various supporting soil conditions and different frequency ratios between adjacent decks are investigated by numerical analysis. In the analysis, decision making is conducted whether the collision took place or not and, the magnitude of pounding force and the duration time of collision are obtained and the results are discussed.

  • This paper is about the frame for an all terrain vehicle(ATV). An all terrain vehicle, also known as an ATV, has a seat designed to comfortably accommodate a rider over a wide variety of rugged terrain. This study developed and evaluated a buffer system to drive safely and reduce impact force on the load. The Frame includes a main frame portion which has one or more support frames. The buffer system with a double cushion system, one or more of the interaction of the shock absorber is constructed. The 3D modeling of ATV frame is built up with the software CATIA. According to the designing requirement, we analyzed the stress and the deformation of the frame.

  • Impulsive excitation on vehicle produces shock-type vibration on the seat, which has major frequencies and damping ratios dependent on the characteristics of the suspension, the tire, the seat cushion and so on. The response of single degree of freedom model to a half-sine force input was considered as simple shock-type vibration signal. Quasi-apparent-mass for fifteen subjects was measured with the shock-type vibration generated on a rigid seat mounted on the simulator, so its nonlinearity was apparently found over 6.3 Hz according to the difference of magnitude of the shock.
