Isoparametric Curve of Quadratic F-Bézier Curve

  • In this thesis, we consider isoparametric curves of quadratic F-B$\acute{e}$zier curves. F-B$\acute{e}$zier curves unify C-B$\acute{e}$zier curves whose basis is {sint, cos t, t, 1} and H-B$\acute{e}$zier curves whose basis is {sinht, cosh t, t,1}. Thus F-B$\acute{e}$zier curves are more useful in Geometric Modeling or CAGD(Computer Aided Geometric Design). We derive the relation between the quadratic F-B$\acute{e}$zier curves and the quadratic rational B$\acute{e}$zier curves. We also obtain the geometric properties of isoparametric curve of the quadratic F-B$\acute{e}$zier curves at both end points and prove the continuity of the isoparametric curve.

접원의 전방향 경로이동에 의한 오프셋 알고리즘 (An offset algorithm with forward tracing of tangential circle for open and closed poly-line segment sequence curve)

  • In this paper we propose a efficient offset curve construction algorithm for $C^0$-continuous Open and Closed 2D sequence curve with line segment in the plane. One of the most difficult problems of offset construction is the loop problem caused by the interference of offset curve segments. Prior work[1-10] eliminates the formation of local self-intersection loop before constructing a intermediate(or raw) offset curve, whereas the global self-intersection loop are detected and removed explicitly(such as a sweep algorithm[13]) after constructing a intermediate offset curve. we propose an algorithm which removes global as well as local intersection loop without making a intermediate offset curve by forward tracing of tangential circle. Offset of both open and closed poly-line segment sequence curve in the plane constructs using the proposed approach.

Positive and negative predictive values by the TOC curve

  • Sensitivity and specificity are popular measures described by the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. There are also two other measures such as the positive predictive value (PPV) and negative predictive value (NPV); however, the PPV and NPV cannot be represented by the ROC curve. Based on the total operating characteristic (TOC) curve suggested by Pontius and Si (International Journal of Geographical Information Science, 97, 570-583, 2014), explanatory methods are proposed to geometrically describe the PPV and NPV by the TOC curve. It is found that the PPV can be regarded as the slope of the right-angled triangle connecting the origin to a certain point on the TOC curve, while 1 - NPV can be represented as the slope of the right-angled triangle connecting a certain point to the top right corner of the TOC curve. When the neutral zone exists, the PPV and 1-NPV can be described as the slopes of two other right-angled triangles of the TOC curve. Therefore, both the PPV and NPV can be estimated using the TOC curve, whether or not the neutral zone is present.

BETCHOV-DA RIOS EQUATION BY NULL CARTAN, PSEUDO NULL AND PARTIALLY NULL CURVE IN MINKOWSKI SPACETIME

  • The aim of this paper is to investigate Betchov-Da Rios equation by using null Cartan, pseudo null and partially null curve in Minkowski spacetime. Time derivative formulas of frame of s parameter null Cartan, pseudo null and partially null curve are examined, respectively. By using the obtained derivative formulas, new results are given about the solution of Betchov-Da Rios equation. The differential geometric properties of these solutions are obtained with respect to Lorentzian causal character of s parameter curve. For a solution of Betchov-Da Rios equation, it is seen that null Cartan s parameter curves are space curves in three-dimensional Minkowski space. Then all points of the soliton surface are flat points of the surface for null Cartan and partially null curve. Thus, it is seen from the results obtained that there is no surface corresponding to the solution of Betchov-Da Rios equation by using the pseudo null s parameter curve.

저수지 내용적 곡선의 모의발생 (Simulation of Stage-Storage Curve Function in Irrigation Reservoirs)

  • The uses of stage-storage curve function are diverse in irrigation reservoirs. The curve functions would be used to determine the optimal size of spillway length and the inundation area above full water level based on the flood routing in reservoirs. In addition, the curve function would he used to transform the stage to the storage for the reservoir water management, in which the storage is the supply water. Besides those, the curve is necessary for the planning of dredging, the estimation of the effective and the dead storage, the drought management by reservoir, etc. The curve function data, however, are almost unavailable for these purposes. According to the statistics, about 74% of the 2, 900 resevoirs which are maintained by Farm Land Improvement Association have no more effective data. Therefore, the simulation of the curve function could be better alternative. The curve functions were simulated derivating the regression equations based on the basin relief ratio and the effective depth. The results of the verification show the enough reliability of the application to generate the curve function in some reservoirs which do not have the surveyed stage-storage data. Also, even though the averaged curve function would be applicated without the basin relief ratio data, the result shows that the simulated curve is closer to the real one than the linear function by only the existing effective storage data.

  • 곡선부에서 도입되는 완화곡선은 곡률을 점진적으로 변화시킴으로써 곡선부에서의 차량의 주행안전성 및 승차감을 향상시킨다. 이러한 완화곡선은 클로소이드, 3차포물선 및 사인반파장 등 여러 종류가 있다. 본 논문에서는 차량의 주행해석을 통하여 3차 포물선과 사인반파장 완화곡선의 주행거동 특성을 분석하였다. 각 완화곡선별로 승차감 평가와 주행안전성 평가를 통하여 각 완화곡선의 성능을 정량적으로 비교하였다.

  • 도로의 곡선구간에서 운전자가 주행시 느끼는 인지곡선반경은 실제곡선반경과 상이하게 나타나는데, 이러한 현상을 시각왜곡현상이라 한다. 시각왜곡현상은 운전자에게 시각변화를 일으켜 운행속도에 영향을 미치고, 이로 인한 운행속도의 변화는 각운전자들의 인지정도 차이에 따라 운행속도의 편차에 영향을 주어 곡선부 주행안전에 악영향을 미친다. 그러나 현재까지 곡선부의 사고위험도를 증가시키는 시각왜곡현상을 정량적으로 분석하여 산정하거나, 시각왜곡현상을 고려해 도로 곡선부 설계시 이용될 설계기법에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 도로 곡선부의 시각왜곡현상을 경험적 실험을 통한 분석을 실시하여 시각왜곡도를 정량적인 수치로 제시하였고, 곡선부 시각왜곡도를 고려한 설계기법을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 수행절차는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 설문조사를 실시하여 자료를 수집 활용하여 인지곡선반경을 종속변수로 하고, 기하구조를 독립변수로 하는 곡선부 인지곡선반경 모형식을 개발하였다. 둘째, 도로의 유형별로 인지곡선반경에 대한 실제곡선반경의 비율을 계산하여 곡선부 시각왜곡도를 산정하였다. 마지막으로, 곡선부 시각왜곡도 영향인자를 분석하여 이를 고려한 설계기법을 제시하였다.

인벌류트 커브와 트로코이드 필렛 커브의 자동생성에 관한 연구 (A study on Auto-drawing for Involute Curve and Trochoidal fillet curve)

  • Gear is general mechanical elements that used for power transmission between two shafts that interval is comparatively short. and it delivers big power as accurate ratio of speed. The profile of Spur gear which is the most basic factor is divided into Trochoidal fillet curve and Involute curve. Involute curve is used a lot of a shaped curve of machine parts such as a gear, a scroll compressor and a collar of centrifugal pump. However, It is poor to study the modeling of Trochoidal fillet curve and the three dimensions model shaped mathematical curve. This paper describes a mathematical model of profile shifted involute gear. and this model is based on Camus's theory. We draw three dimensions gear have accurate mathematical function using ADS, VisualLISP. and To check accuracy and perfection, we make a program of checking Interference. and use for this study.

배추의 소금절임중 엽신의 휘임도 변화 (Changes in Curve-Angle of Blade during Salting of Chinese Cabbage)

  • This study was undertaken to investigate changes m curve angle of Chinese cabbage blade during salting at various concentration(10, 15, 20, 25%) of salt to evaluated salting degree by curve angle during salting at 20$^{\circ}C$. Salt concentration of brine, the amount of water elution, salt penetration of the tissue(salt concentration of Chinese cabbage), weight loss and texture were investigated. Correlation relation between the above factors and curve angle were determined. The curve angles by method of holding the edge of the Chinese cabbage blade was measured. The curve angles of the mesophyll were proportional to salting time and salt concentration, but slope of line equation showed higher than that of mid-rib. The ideal method of salting evaluation by curve angle was MCA-MRC (the measuring curve angle of mid-rib C) at each concentration of salt. The results of curve angle when reached 3% salt of Chinese cabbage tissue calculated by MCA-MRC at 10, 15, 20 and 25% salting were 57$^{\circ}$, 43$^{\circ}$, 36$^{\circ}$, and 33$^{\circ}$, respectively. And salting times calculated by the same conditions were 19, 12.5, 9.1 and 4.4hours, respectively.

Cubic Spline 곡선을 이용한 곡선 차선 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the detection of curve lane using Cubic Spline)

  • This paper propose a new detection method of curve lane using Catmull-Rom spline for recognition various shape of the curve lane. To improve the accracy of lane detection, binarization and thinning process are firstly performed on the input image. Next, features on the curve lane such as curvature and orientation are extracted, and the control points of Catmull-Rom spline are detected to recognize the curve lane. Finally, Computer simulation results are given using a natural test image to show the efficiency of the proposed scheme.
