영일만내의 유동과 수질특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Current and Water Quality Characteristics in Yongil Bay)

  • The water quality in Yongil Bay is getting worse due to the sewage and the waste water from the surrounding industrial complex. The study aims to simulate the current system that is necessary to build ecosystem model for the optium water quality control and clarify the correlation of current system characteristics with water quality in Yongil Bay. To clarify the characteristics of coastal water movement system and verify the applicability of the 3-D model, the current system was simulated using 3-D model baroclinic model which considers tidal current and density effects. As the results of numerical experiments, it is proved the 3-D model is the most applicable on appearing the current system of the stratificated Yongil Bay difference of density. Form the results of simulation considered tidal current only, it can be clarified that the water body flows in the inner bay through the bottom layer and flows out the outer bay through the surface layer in Yongil Bay. And the fresh water from the Hyongsan river and the thermal discharge form POSCO have a little effect on the current system in Yongil Bay, but the diffusion of heat and salt has an important effect upon the formation of the density stratification of the water quality distribution is closely related with the current structure characteristics as well as the tidal residual current system in Yongil Bay.

비례공진 제어기를 이용한 단상 계통연계형 인버터의 데드타임 영향과 옵셋 오차로 인한 전류맥동 저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Current Ripple Reduction Due to Offset Error and Dead-time Effect of Single-phase Grid-connected Inverters Based on PR Controller)

  • The effects of dead-time and offset error, which cause output current distortion in single-phase grid-connected inverters are investigated this paper. Offset error is typically generated by measuring phase current, including the voltage unbalance of analog devices and non-ideal characteristics in current measurement paths. Dead-time inevitably occurs during generation of the gate signal for controlling power semiconductor switches. Hence, the performance of the grid-connected inverter is significantly degraded because of the current ripples. The current and voltage, including ripple components on the synchronous reference frame and stationary reference frame, are analyzed in detail. An algorithm, which has the proportional resonant controller, is also proposed to reduce current ripple components in the synchronous PI current regulator. As a result, computational complexity of the proposed algorithm is greatly simplified, and the magnitude of the current ripples is significantly decreased. The simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the usefulness of the proposed current ripple reduction algorithm.

As the results of numerical experiments, it is proved the 3-D model is the most appliable on the Yongil Bay where current flows slowly and the flow direction is varied by depths. From the results of simulation considered tidal current only, It am be clearly said the water in Yongil Bay flows in through the surface layer and flows out through the bottom layer. And the fresh water from the Hyongsan river and the heated discharge from POSCO have little effect on the current structure in Yonggil Bay, but have and important effect upon the density structure by diffusion of heat and salt. And the water quality distribution is closely related with the current structure characteristics as well as the tidal residual current system.

On-Line 및 Off-Line 상태에 따른 누설 전류 진단 분석 (Analysis of Leakage Current Diagnosis According to Online and Offline Conditions)

  • When the clamp meter approaches the electric path where current is flowing, leakage current can be measured at a distance from the electric current because the induced current increases as the magnitude of the current increases and approaches nearer to the electric path. Therefore, measurements were carried out from a distance to avoid this effect. In addition, the measured values differ depending on the location of the power line that penetrates the ZCT of the clamp meter, thus measurements were performed at a location where this effect was minimized. The fraction of compliant branch circuits, whose leakage current was lower than 1.00 mA, was found to be 69.0% out of the total of 439 branch circuits, while the percentage of compliant branch circuits having an insulation resistance higher than $0.20M{\Omega}$ was found to be 93.2%. The reason why the percentage of compliant branch circuits with low leakage current was low might be due to the inclusion of capacitive leakage current in the total measured leakage current.

수치실험을 통한 금오열도 해역의 해수유동 특성 (Flow characteristics of Geumo Islands Sea area by numerical model experiments)

  • Flow prediction was carried out through observational survey and three dimensional multi-layered numerical diagnostic model experiment to clarify the time and spatial structure of tidal current and residual flow dominant in the sea exchange and material circulation of the waters around Geumo Islands in the southern waters of Korea. The horizontal variation of tidal current is so large that it causes asymmetric tidal mixing due to horizontal eddies and the topographical effect creating convergence and dispersion of flow direction and velocity. Due to strong tidal currents flowing northwest-southeast, counterclockwise and clockwise eddies are formed on the left and right sides of the south of Sori Island. These topographical eddies are created by horizontal turbulence and bottom friction causing nonlinear effects. Baroclinic density flows are less than 5 cm/s at coastal area in summer and the entire sea area in winter. The wind driven currents assuming summer and winter seasonal winds are also less than 5 cm/s and the current flow rate is high in winter. Density current in summer and wind driven current in winter have a relatively greater effect on the net residual flows (tidal residual current + density current + density driven current) around Geumo Islands Sea area.

  • 전력 계통에서 전력 용량의 급격한 증가는 고장 용량이 차단기의 차단 용량을 초과하게 함으로써 계통의 신뢰도를 심각하게 저하시킬 수 있다. 한류기는 고장 용량을 차단 용량 레벨로 제한함으로써 신뢰도를 개선할 수 있는 실질적이고 효과적인 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 한류기의 전력계통 적용 시 적용 방법론을 개발하는 데에 도움이 될 수 있도록 먼저, 한류기의 유형별 구조와 동작원리를 분석하였으며 주요 장단점들을 비교하였다. 다음, 한류기의 전력 계통에 대한 적용 효과를 검증하기 위해 한류기가 도입된 전력계통을 모델링하였다. 끝으로, EMTP-RV를 이용하여 3상 단락 고장을 모의한 후, 한류기의 적용 전과 후의 전류를 비교를 통해 한류기에 의해 고장 전류 감소하는 것을 확인함으로써 적용 효과를 검증할 수 있었다.

The Numerical Analysis of Jeju Harbor Flow Considering Effect of Seasonal Wind

  • The effect of seasonal wind on the tidal circulation in Jeju harbor was examined by using a numerical shallow water model. A finite element for analyzing shallow water flow is presented. The Galerkin method is employed for spatial discretization. Two step explicit finite element scheme is used to discretize the time function, which has advantage in problems treating large numbers of elements and unsteady state. The numerical simulation is compared with three cases; Case 1 does not consider the effect of wind, Case 2 and Case 3 consider the effect of summer and winter seasonal wind, respectively. According to result considering effect of seasonal wind, velocity of current vector shows slightly stronger than that of case 1 in the flow field. It can be concluded that the present method is a useful and effective tool in tidal current analysis.

  • 본 연구는 미디어 효과 연구로서, 후쿠시마 원전 사고에 의해 폭넓게 확산되고 있는 방사능 오염 실태를 취재한 시사 다큐멘터리의 시청이 국내 수용자의 정치적, 사회적 인식에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 실험을 통해 살펴본 연구이다. 그동안의 미디어 효과에 관한 선행 연구들은 TV나 신문 인터넷 등의 뉴스 콘텐츠가 수용자에게 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 있다. 그러나 이들 미디어의 뉴스 콘텐츠 못지않게 다양한 주제를 심층 분석하여 수용자들에게 깊이 있는 정보를 제공하고 있는 TV 시사다큐멘터리를 대상으로 한 수용자 효과 연구는 매우 제한적이며, 특히 지구 환경에 큰 영향을 미치고 있는 방사능 오염을 주제로 한 재난 다큐멘터리가 수용자에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구는 찾아보기 어렵다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 후쿠시마 원전사고에 의한 방사능 오염문제를 집중적으로 보도한 재난 다큐멘터리가 수용자의 정치적, 사회적 인식에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 실험연구를 수행하였다. 분석결과 시사다큐멘터리를 시청한 피험자들은 시사다큐멘터리를 시청하지 않은 피험자들보다 야당의 지지도가 높았으며, 노후 원전문제를 더 심각하게 인식하여 더 적극적으로 폐기를 주장하는 경향이 있었고, 원전의 추가 건설을 더 적극적으로 반대하는 경향이 있었다.

Phase Current Magnitude Variation Method to Reduce End-Effect Force of PM Linear Synchronous Motor

  • Numerous methods are available for reducing the end-effect force of linear machines. Majority of these methods focus on redesigning the poles or slots. However, these methods require additional manufacturing cost and decrease the power density. The current paper introduces another approach to reduce the end-effect force. The new approach is a method of tuning the input phase current magnitudes individually. According to the proposed method, reduction of the end-effect force could be achieved without redesigning the poles/slots or attaching auxiliary poles/slots. The proposed method is especially applicable when the target motor is very expensive or will be used for a special mission, such as hauling army vehicles equipped with three single-phase inverters. The validity of the suggested method was exemplified by the finite element method with three-phase permanent-magnet linear synchronous motor.

The Approach for the Trade-off Study Between Field-effect Mobility and Current on/off Ratio in P3HT Field-effect Transistors

  • Presented herein are the results of the study that was conducted on the electrical characteristics of organic field-effect transistors based on poly(3-hexylthiophene), particularly the thickness and annealing temperature of their active layer is varied. The changes in field-effect mobility and current on/off ratio were explored. It was observed that both increasing annealing temperature from $60^{\circ}C$ to $100^{\circ}C$ and various concentrations influence the trade-off relations between the mobility and current on/off ratio. The surface morphology of the 2-${\mu}m^2$ area with various thicknesses was scanned via atomic-forcemicroscopy(AFM) to verify the relationship between surface morphology, which is related to the thickness of the film, and device performance.
