The objective of current study is to develop an optimization technique for the seismic actively controlled building structures using active tendon devices by an efficient solution of LQR control gain. In order to solve the active control system, the Ricatti closed-loop algorithm has been applied, and the state vector has been formulated by the transfer matrix and solved by a numerical technique of the trapezoidal rule. The time-delay problem has been also considered by phase compensation. To optimize the performance index, the ratio of the weighted matrix is the design variable, allowable story drift limits of IBC 2000 and tendon forces have been applied as restraint conditions, and the optimum control program has been developed with the algorithm of the SUMT technique. In examples of the optimization problem of eight stories shear buildings, it is evaluated that the optimum controlled building is more suitable in the control of earthquake response than the uncontrolled system and can reduce the performance index to compare with the controlled system with a constant ratio of the weighted matrix.

This paper proposes the new type LED driver modularization for illumination LED driver. The proposed LED driver circuit insulates a hot GND of AC input power and a cold GND of LED driver part by using a fly-back converter. In order to control easily the current of the LED, the fly-back converter is operated in the discontinuous mode with excellent dynamic characteristics, and the characteristics of the LED are verified after the closed loop control is performed using a KIA2431. The LED driver module allows the wide AC power input ranges and realizes the burst dimming function which directly regulates a PWM control IC. This paper describes the operation principle of the LED driver module and it is proved the usefulness through the real model with experimentation. Besides, this paper proposes the multi-channel LED driver which the miniaturized and modularized LED driver module are connected by parallel, and verified its propriety by experiments.
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) act as regulators of gene expression by binding to the 3' untranslated region (UTR) of target genes. They perform important biological functions in the various species. Among many miRNAs, miR-21-3p is known to serve vital functions in development and apoptosis in olive flounder. Using genomic and bioinformatic tools, evolutionary conservation of miR-21-3p was examined in various species, and expression pattern was analyzed in olive flounder. Conserved sequences (5'-CAGUCG-3') in numerous species were detected through the stem-loop structure of miR-21-3p. Thus, we analyzed target genes of miR-21-3p. Among them, 3' UTR region of PPIL2 gene indicated the highest binding affinity with miR-21-3p based on the minimum free energy value. The PPIL2 gene showed high expression levels in testis tissue of the olive flounder, whereas miR-21-3p showed rather ubiquitous expression patterns except in testis tissue, indicating that miR-21-3p seems to control the PPIL2 gene expression in a complementary repression manner in various tissues of olive flounder. Taken together, this current study contributes to infer the target gene candidates for the miR-21-3p using bioinformatics tools. Furthermore, our data offers important information on the relationship between miR-21-3p and target gene for further functional study.

This paper describes a COMS IF transceiver IC for 10-MHz bandwidth wireless local loops. It interfaces between the RF section and the digital MODEM section and performs the IF-to-baseband (Rx) and baseband-to-IF (Tx) frequency conversions. The chip incorporates variable gain amplifiers, phase-locked loops, low pass filters, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters. It has been implemented in a 0.6 -${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ 2-poly 3-metal CMOS process. The phase-locked loops include voltage-controlled oscillators, dividers, phase detectors, and charge pumps on chip. The only external complonents are the filter and the varactor-tuned LC tank circuit. The chip size is 4 mm $\times$ 4 mm and the total supply current is about 57 mA at 3.3 V.

[ $Ba_2NaNb_5O_{15}$ ](BNN) thin films have been prepared by the ion beam sputter deposition (IBSD) method on Pt coated Si substrate at temperature as low as $600^{\circ}C$ XRD, SEM were used to investigate the crystallization and microstructure of the films. It was found that the films were crack-free and uniform in microstructure. The electric properties of thin films were carried out by observation of D-E hysteresis loop, dielectric constant and leakage current. It was found the deposition rate strongly influenced the phase formation of the films, where the phase of $BaNb_2O_6$ was always formed when the deposition rate was high. However, the single phase (tungsten bronze structure ) BNN thin film was obtained with the deposition rate as low as $22{\AA}/min$. The remanent polarization Pr and dielectric constant are about 1-2 ${\mu}C/cm^2$ and $100\sim200$, respectively. It was also founded the electric properties of thin films were influenced by the deposition rate. The Pr and dielectric constant of films increased with the decrease of deposition rate. The effects of annealing temperature and annealing time to the crystallization behavior of films were studied. The crystallization of thin film started at about $600^{\circ}C$. The adequate crystallization was gotten at the temperature of $650^{\circ}C$ when the annealing time is 0.5 hour or at the temperature of $600^{\circ}C$ when the annealing time is long as 6 hours.

Because of the growing interest in supercritical carbon dioxide power cycle technology owing to its potential enhancement in compactness and efficiency, supercritical carbon dioxide cycles have been studied in the fields of nuclear power, concentrated solar power (CSP), and fossil fuel power generation. This study introduces the current status of the research project on the supercritical carbon dioxide power cycle by Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER). During the first phase of the project, the un-recuperated supercritical Brayton cycle test loop was built and tested. In phase two, researchers are designing and building a supercritical carbon dioxide dual Brayton cycle, which utilizes two turbines and two recuperators. Under the simulation condition considered in this study, it was confirmed that the design parameter has an optimal value for maximizing the net power in the supercritical carbon dioxide dual cycle.
This study aims to contribute to the development of sports wearables. It was conducted by a convergence team of professionals in the fashion industry, kinesiology and sports studies, and computer science and engineering. The purpose of the current study was to design and develop a fabric-type fitness band for a sensor to measure acceleration during jump rope exercises. Computer science and engineering professionals developed the Arduino board and sensor, kinesiology and sports studies provided the necessary exercise protocol, and the fashion industry professionals developed the band. First, a fitness band preference survey was completed by men and women between the ages of 20 and 50. Typical uses of the band included tracking exercise amount as measured by the number of steps taken and calories burned. Strap watch closure, a single color and achromatic color, and soft and smooth touch materials were preferred as band design. Second, two fabric-type fitness bands were designed and developed. Design 1 had a 3-dimensional pocket for the sensor, bright blue color, and stretch binding around the edges and for a loop. Design 2 had a flat pocket for the sensor, achromatic color, mesh binding around the edges and two metal loops. Both designs had Velcro as a closure. Third, wear testing of both bands with the sensor were conducted of 15 women in their 20s. They wore the bands during jump rope exercises. Both bands generally satisfied the participants. The Design 2 band was slightly more satisfying than the Design 1 band.
A concept of household container to create and keep the modified atmosphere (MA) beneficial for fresh produce mix was devised and tested under typical chilled storage conditions of 3℃. The container system containing mixed products is initialized by applying weak hypobaric condition (0.9 atm) and subsequently injecting CO2 gas at an appropriate low level (0.03 atm). The passive atmosphere modification by produce respiration is then induced to reach a target until gas diffusion tube of proper dimension starts to open. The design was made to attain quasi-steady state mass balance of O2, CO2 and N2 to maintain the desired MA through the storage. Interrupted opening for taking out or placing some products was to reinitialize the loop of control logic. The developed concept was tested by the container which held commodities of spinach, pak choi, oyster mushroom, peeled onion, strawberry and cut carrot. The target optimum MA of 11% O2 and 10% CO2 (0.11 and 0.10 atm, respectively) was set to avoid injurious range of O2 and CO2 concentrations for any commodities. The developed container system could work to reach and maintain beneficial MA of 0.10-0.12 atm O2 and 0.07-0.10 atm CO2 close to the target during the storage contributing to quality retention of products measured in weight loss, chlorophyll content of spinach, ascorbic acid content of pak choi, color of onion, texture of oyster mushroom, bacterial count of strawberry and carotenoids of carrot. The container system shows potential to improve current preservation practice of fresh produce mix on consumers' level.
Charles Stankievech's 2011 installation LOVELAND includes a wall-sized screen depicting video footage of a barren arctic landscape in an enclosed room, painted and bathed in white light, that appears as an extension of the imaged environment. A melodic and industrial musical score emanates from multiple sound panels and as the music increases a cloud of purple smoke becomes visible on the horizon line in the distance and gradually advances toward the viewer until it completely fills the screen. The smoke then remains, rushing about madly and lapping at the border between the screen and the room before it suddenly subsides and the spectator is again left with the desolate landscape. The entire process takes a mere five minutes and then, fixed on an endless loop, begins again. This paper positions LOVELAND as an attempt to simulate a sublime experience of the end of the world through a transposition of the Arctic atmosphere into the gallery space. Encompassing a discussion of the historical and contemporary significance of the Arctic in popular culture, aesthetics and environmental politics, it is suggested that Stankievech employs an apocalyptic trope in reference to the unstable position of the North in the current political and ecological climate. Revisiting critiques of modernist exhibition practices and investigating the perceptual and temporal dimensions of the work, this analysis focuses primarily on the experience of the installation's spectator. Visually, aurally and phenomenologically immersed, the viewer is made subject to, and implicated in, the events unfolding on the screen and within the space. Due to the looping of the video footage, this paper argues that the apocalypse imaged in LOVELAND is presented as an endless event - incessantly enacted, yet infinitely deferred - and that the spectator is enveloped in an uncertain and unceasingly extended present moment.

In our country, the skin image and MR Microscopy research has been processed but there were not their outstanding results. So this study start to improve the techniques can get high resolution skin images and to make RF surface coils. Volume coils are sometimes unavailable, or do not provide adequate RF power or SNR for some applications. In high resolution skin and tissue structure images current coils have a technical limitation. It is well known that standard single-loop surface coils, although offering high SNR characteristics, have poor B1 homogeneity. As the RF surface coil need change its geometry we get improved images. So, The magnetic field simulation that is first step to make and design RF surface coil will support reference data.
