Childhood Cancer Foundation of ROC(CCFROC) has been founded since 1982. Its goal is to provide comprehensive care for cancer children and their families. And in turn, under the provision of good and complete care, they can be back to the school and society. To achieve this goal, it needs to get every body's effort of the society together. The foundation has been founder under this concept and tried to fulfil this task. The first step is to educate the public to know that childhood cancer can be cured and the process of treatment is long and expensive. In order to reach this life-saving procedure, campaigns for raising money is most important thing. Then, pediatric hematologists / oncologists try to organize study group, named Taiwan Pediatric Qncology Goupp(TPOG), to make treatment protocols for childhood cancers. Its primary purpose is to increase the cure rate to prove the earlier the diagnosis and treatment, the better the prognosis. The second step is to provide full support of medical expenses and further to give help for emergent need to living. Through the varieties of active exercises of cancer children or families, foundation provides opportunities for them to share the experience during the different periods of diseases. The third step is to extend the scope of training activities for many kinds of personnel who devote to the care for cancer children. On the other hand, it promotes the cooperation or communication with international organizations and sets up recreation playing ground in the communities. The aim is to provide a comprehensive and integrated care for cancer children during their education, breeding and even accomplishment period. Besides the financial support of medical care, it provides social services to give psychological support for children and their families, to strengthen doctor-patients or doctor-families relationship. The foundation provides the mourning religious activities to cherish the memory of their children who passed away and to comfort their sadness. Since the childhood cancer is curable, its treatment should be active, comprehensive and it needs to provide to all cancer children without exception. Indeed, the work of CCFROC should be changed according to the environment and different time period. But, it needs the full support from the society. We hope the scope and content of the work will be more extended and its achievement will be better than now in the future.

This study is limited to epidermoid carcinoma arising in the larynx. The 623 patients in this series comprised 1.6% of all malignant neoplasms seen during the 20-year period .from 1965 to 1984 ; it comprised 13.2% of all cancers of the head and neck registered during this period. The male: female ratio was 11:1, and the highest incidence was in the fifth decade of life. Analysis by anatomical site revealed that 51.7% were supraglottic, 36.1% glottic, and 6.8% subglottic in oriain. One-hundred eighty-nine(79%) were clinically Stage III or Stage IV lesions at the time of the first visit. Of the total of 263 cases, 113 refused treatment, 4 definite radiation for $T_1$. lesion,21 underwent palliative therapy only, and 125 underwent surgical management with intent to cure. This surgical category included 53 patients who had surgical treatment only and 72 who underwent combined therapy(preoperative radiation, postoperative radiation, or inductive chemotherapy followed by surgery and postoperative radiation). The surgical management varied from partial laryngectomy to widefield laryngectomy and ipsilateral neck dissection. In 14.4% pathologically positive node or nodes were found in the clinically negative contralateral neck nedes. Such contralateral spread was most common in supraglottic site of origin(222%). Combined modality of management was compared to single therapy. Although results at three years showed no difference in determinate disease-free survival between patients treated by surgery only and those treated by surgery followed by postoperative radiation therapy at 5 years a statistically significant difference emerged, only 36% of those receiving surgery alone surviving as compared to 65.4% in the surgery with radiation group.

The world is going through the most unprecedented time with the outbreak of novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), which has become a threat to millions. A Coronavirus is a group of viruses that cause a variety of diseases in mammals and birds leading to a range of illnesses in humans including common cold and more severe forms like severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus (SARS-CoV), Middle East respiratory syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) and COVID-19, which are life-threatening. The virus gets its name from its shape which takes the form of a crown with protrusions around it. In December 2019, a pneumonia outbreak was reported in the Wuhan City of China, which was later traced to a novel strain of Coronavirus and termed as Novel COVID-19. It typically causes flu-like symptoms including fever, cough and shortness of breath and is transmitted through human-to-human and there is no cure for it till now. Thus, this bibliometric study has been carried out to analyze the research progress in Coronavirus and literature published during a period of 30 years (1989-2019). Data for the study were fetched from Web of Science(WoS) multidisciplinary database and the publication trends in terms of total articles, productive countries, institutions, journals, productive authors, most cited articles and authors, etc have been analyzed. In total, 4917 articles were retrieved; these were from 711 sources and were contributed by 14442 authors. The collaboration index was 3.11, which clearly indicates that there has been a lot of collaboration in this field. The most preferred journal for the study period was "Journal of Virology" and the maximum contribution has been from the University of Hong Kong.

Mastitis is the most costly disease results in lost milk production, decreased milk quality, milk discard, early culling of cows, drug costs and labor costs in dairy cow. Until now, a antibiotic administration at the end of lactation, dry cow therapy has been known the most effective and widely used mastitis control method. However, dry cow therapy do not control a new infection in the late dry and prepartum period because dry cow products have only persistent activity in the early dry period. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate clinical effect of sustained released biodegradable cephalexin microsphere using PLGA in bovine mastitis control during dry period. PLGA has been approved as controlled drug release system because of non-toxic, non-tissue reactive and bioerodible characteristics. This study revealed that cephalexin microsphere had a spherical shape with characteristic porous structure on the surface. Also, in vitro drug release studies are clearly observed that the release rate of cephalexin from PLGA microsphere decrease during the first 21 days after initial burst and then increase again between 3 and 4 weeks showing pulsatile releasing pattern. On the other hand, as tried in field the new infection rate, cure rate and mean SCC after parturition in cephalexin microsphere infused group were significantly differenced as compared to the control group. Accordingly, a sustained release of cephalexin from a biodegradable microsphere could make dry cow therapy more efficiently by preventing a new infection and decreasing the number of existing infection of mammary gland during dry period.

The administration data of the national health insurance and health insurance bills were utilized in this study. The data of 485,953 patients who were at the age of 30 and up and used the out-patient departments of every medical institution located in some regions involving two southern and northern provinces once or more during a 184-day period from July to December, 2008. As a result of analyzing their Continuity of Ambulatory Care and factors affecting it, the following findings were given: The continuity of ambulatory care among the adult patients with hypertension in our country turned out to be on a high level(MMCI $0.96{\pm}0.13$, MFPC $0.96{\pm}0.12$). Given examining the outpatient medical-cure continuity level according to index, the averagely medical-cure continuity level was calculated to be high level with MMCI, $0.96{\pm}0.13$, and MFPC $0.96{\pm}0.12$. Thus, the tendency of visiting only one medical provider was high. The findings of the study illustrated that the average continuity of ambulatory care among the adult patients with hypertension in our country was on a high level, and it seemed that special care should be provided to patients with a low-level continuity of ambulatory care, such as women and elderly people aged 64 and over. The findings of the study are expected to serve as one of the barometers for the health care of patients with hypertension and for the performance of national hypertension management plans.
This experiment was designed to determine the effect of light quality on the appearance of photobleaching leaves during the cure of Burley Tobacco. The harvested and browned tobacco leaves were exposed to sunlight in pipe houses covered with 8 kinds of color vinyls (white, red, black, yellow, purple, orange, blue, green), and exposed to ultraviolet rays(20W x 3) and infrared rays (150W x 2) in curing chamber (1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2m). Photobleaching occured more at lower position leaf and after the leaves being browned when the curing was done in sunlight under a transparent vinyl. But photobleaching leaves were 5-6% of total cured leaves in sunlight under all kinds of color vinyl houses. It seems that photobleaching mainly induced by ultrabiolet rays of sunlight, and humidity too influenced. Yellow, orange and purple vinyl were durable and effective as shading material of color vinyls. since white and red vinyl tore easily in two monthes in strong sunlight and under black and blue vinyl houses curing period was longer than others.
Confucianism and Buddhism were compatible in the period of Goryeo Dynasty. And then, the rulers worshiped Confucianism and repressed the religious activity of the Buddhist monk in the early years of the Joseon Dynasty. But King Sejong planed to bring reconciliation between Confucianism and Buddhism. Especially on the ceremonies of mourning and sacrificial rituals, he always performed the two religious style. The reason of sticking to his amicable consciousness is as follows. Firstly, he thinks that both the theory of Confucianism and the religious spirit of Buddhism are very important for the building up the foundation of his Dynasty. Secondly, his mind has been of a same faith cure on the incurable disease. Therefor, when the Royal family is taken ill he must pray to Buddha for recovery from the first stage. Thirdly, he regards social conditions to be the most important and respect for man's life and dignity for the purpose of beneficent administration. But Joseon's government line was the anti-Buddhist policy. So, the policy came in the wake of a debate among King Sejong and Confucian government officials. However his harmonious mind was unchanged between Confucianism and Buddhism. After all, in the last phase of his life he was deeply religious on Buddhism. I think that King Sejong's amicable consciousness could make a contribution to overcome religious conflicts and to create a new political cultural form in the modern society
