Korean Pre-service Teachers' Understanding about the Nature of Science (NOS)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine Korean preservice science teachers' understanding of the nature of science (NOS). Thirty-one Korean preservice teachers were given an open-ended questionnaire about their understanding of NOS. The Korean preservice teachers' responses were categorized according to pattern and theme. These findings will provide information to aid in the development of curriculum and instruction to improve preservice teachers' understanding of NOS. Compared to in previous studies, Korean preservice teachers demonstrated various philosophical stances that have been suggested by philosophers of science. In addition, they were more likely to connect science to human endeavors and social needs. These results were interpreted in relation to the influence of the science methods course, secondary science curriculum, and the traditional cultural view.

  • 본 연구는 문화예술 여가활동 참여자의 외향성과 스트레스, 문화적 자기효능감, 생활만족도의 인과적 관계에 대해 지속적 소셜댄스 참여자를 중심으로 살펴보는 것에 목적이 있다. 연구 결과 첫째, 소셜댄스 참여자의 외향성은 문화적 자기효능감에 정적영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 외향성은 생활만족도에 정적영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 외향성은 스트레스에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 넷째, 문화적 자기효능감은 생활만족도에 정적영향을 미쳤다. 다섯째, 문화적 자기효능감은 스트레스에 정적영향을 미쳤다. 여섯째, 생활만족도는 스트레스에 부적영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로 외향성과 스트레스의 관계에서 문화적 자기효능감과 생활만족도는 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 문화예술 여가활동에서 참여자의 외향성과 문화적 자기효능감, 생활만족도는 스트레스를 설명하는 중요한 요인임을 확인하였다.

  • 전통마을숲은 한국을 대표하는 전통 문화경관으로서 국가적 문화자산이다. 한라산 자락에 있는 기생화산 오름의 수는 총 368개이고, 제주도 전역에 총 391개의 신당(神堂)이 있는데, 근래에 관광객을 위한 올레길, 도로 개설 등으로 인해 제주 신당이 급속히 훼손되는 문제가 제기되고 있다. 이제 문화콘텐츠는 로컬리티(지역성)와 글로벌리티(세계성)를 같이 갖추어야 하며, 우리의 고유한 콘텐츠로서의 글로컬문화콘텐츠 생산이 필요하다. 이 연구는 당(堂)과 연계한 제주도 저지오름 탐방로 개선방안을 고찰한 것이다. 당숲 구간을 오름 탐방로와 연계하면 실생활에 살아있는 전통문화경관을 접할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 수 있다. 당과 오름을 중심으로 이루어져 있는 제주도 농어촌마을들이 탐방로를 따라 그 테마와 원형이 잘 보전, 관리된다면 세계적인 문화유산으로서의 가치를 지닌 곳으로 인정받을 수 있을 것이다.

농촌관광에 있어 체험활동 선호도 및 행동의도 - 대구광역시 초등학생 학부모 집단을 대상으로 - (Preference of Experiential Activities and Behavioral Intention on Rural Tourism - On parents group of elementary students in Daegu city -)

  • This study is to analyze the preference of experiential activities and behavioral intention on rural tourism, with special focus on parents group of elementary students. The result can be utilized as basic data for demanding aspect of rural experiencing tourism. Two-step questionnaire survey was conducted, during May to July, 2915. Sample group was selected at 4 elementary school in Daegu city. 347 valid responses were analyzed with SPSS. Major results are as follows. Firstly, suggested model for 23 experiential activities in 7 types, were verified as valid by verifying factor analysis. Factor 1 was verified and named as 'Rual Life Experience', Factor 2 was verified and named as 'Health/Healing Experience', Factor 3, as 'Agricultural Product Experience', Factor 4, as 'Eco-Cultural Experience', Factor 5, as 'Leisure/Sports Experience', Factor 6, as 'Traditional Wellbeing Food Experience', and Factor 7, as 'Traditional Culture Experience'. All 7 factors explained 75.39% of total variance. Secondly, mean score of preference by each activity showed high in 'Health-care experience', 'Traditional food experience' and comparatively low in 'Collecting experience', 'Agricultural experience'. Thirdly, all 7 types(factors) of experience showed significant affecting relation to satisfaction, intention to participation and recommendation. Specially, 'Eco-Cultural Experience' and 'Rural Life Experience' showed high affecting relation. This could be the characteristics of parents group of elementary students.

여가활동, 여가동기, 자기효능감 및 주관적 안녕감간의 관계 (The relation of Leisure participation motivation, Activity, Self efficacy and Subjective well-being)

  • 본 연구는 지금까지 여가현상 규명의 영역이 체육학이나 관광학등에 편향되어왔음을 지적함과 동시에 여가 활동, 여가참여동기, 자기효능감 및 주관적 안녕감간의 관계를 통해 한국문화권에서의 여가 현상을 이해해보기 위해 수행된 것이다. 구체적인 연구문제로 1) 한국의 여가동기와 여가활동의 양상, 2)각 여가동기와 자기효능감간의 상관관계 그리고 3)각 여가동기와 주관적 안녕감간의 상관관계를 설정하였고, 대학생 270명을 통해 연구결과가 크게 3가지로 나타남을 확인할 수 있었다. 첫째, 여가동기는 자기개발 및 자기향상동기와 정서 및 심리적 안정추구동기로 나누어지며, 전반적인 여가활동은 소위 정적이며 소극적이라고 불리어지는 활동들이 나타났고 둘째, 분류된 두 동기에 따른 개개인의 자기효능감간에는 유의미한 관계가 나타나지 않았으며 셋째, 정서 및 심리적 안정추구동기로 여가를 경험한 개인이 자기개발 및 자기향상동기로 여가를 경험한 개인보다 주관적 안녕감과 유의미한 관계가 있었다. 위와 같은 연구결과들은 여가활동과 여가동기에 대한 문화적 인식에 따라 여가현상에 대한 이해 및 인식이 달라질 수 있음을 시사해준다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 함의, 제한점과 향후 연구 방향을 논의하였다.

인형의 한복패턴개발을 위한 봉제인형의 유형분류 (Classification of the Types of Rag Doll to the Development of Doll's Hanbok Patterns)

  • Hanbok of dolls can be a good medium that can given with value of traditional cultural products, however, it is not easy to see hanbok and its pattern from dolls. Especially for the case of rag doll which is closely related to the life of users, it has enough value as traditional cultural contents, however, there have been not sufficient studies on its pattern development and classification of form of dolls. Therefore, by classifying the body type of dolls by its pose, this study aims to provide a basic data for the development of hanbok pattern. This study looks into the origin and meaning of dolls and the definition and features of rag doll, then, it collected pictures and data rag dolls produced by 29 domestic companies. Through the data collected, the six different types of dolls, 'Sitting Style', 'Standing Style', 'Lying Style', 'Cushion Style', 'Quadruped Sitting Style', 'Quadruped Standing Style', were classified into form. In the future, I hope the result of this study can be used as useful data for toy manufactures and cultural business in relation to development of rag doll and at the same time as a basic data for development of hanbok pattern development of rag dolls as traditional cultural goods.

중남(中南) 아메리카의 인디언 복식(服飾)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Indian Costume of the Central-South America)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate a variety of the Indian costume of the Central-South America and to examine the relation and symbolization of each Indian culture arrd costume. A study's method is to be examined through literatues related to the culture and history of Central-South America Indian, photos and references related to costume. The results are as follows. First, an analysis of Indian male of Central-South America reveals that costume types are different according to cultural areas. Second, an analysis Indian female of Central-South America reveals tlrat costume types are differerrt according to cultural areas. Third, a study on colors and patterns of Indian costume and personal ornament in Meso-America culture area reveals that they were influenced on the Maya and Aztec Civilizations. Fourth, a study on colors and patterns of Indian costume and personal ornament in Andes cultural area reveals that they were influenced on the Inca Civilization. Fifth, a type of ponchos is commonly revealed in Meso America and Andes cultural areas because of particular climate. Sixth, a study on Tropical costume types reveals that they are very different from those of Meso-America and Andes culture areas due to its climate and terrain conditions.

  • The stepping stone of the study is provided through understanding the transformation of the cultural value with the paradigm shift at the turning point of late 20th century and examining the cultural relationaship between the East and the West. By researching the oriental and occidental culture in terms of the origin formation relation and differences which should be divided into broad branches that is natural ideological formative and spatial aspects and so forth. This paper makes it possible to understand the fundamental differences and relativities between two divergent cultures by way of analyzing the architecture in plastic and cognitive aspects to residential space. this study intends to elucidate common traits of korean traditional architecture and that of the Occident and the discrepancies of their attitudes toward nature and space. In Western civilization they used to consider architecture as a physical organization while the oriental people consider it a object what is so of itself. The former concentrated on the functional rationality of scientific technology with the uncontextual propensity which does not consider natural environment the latter could reach the naturalness more harmonious to environment. What counts in the upcoming age of coexistence of Globalism that emphasizes the worlds universality and Nationalism that sticks to local cultural characteristics is to establish the new value system and identity based upon natural order and organic quality. As a result we could recognize the organic quality as a cosmic order could be a valid means to achieve the globalization of our culture through the compatibility between gap and common ground of both cultural sphere.
