  • Today, the railway is very important in modern society means of public transport. Many people use the railway each day. On the other hand, with regard to railway accidents every year due to damage caused many casualties. In this paper, we propose railroad crossing accident prevention system for monitoring the situation based on OSGi for safe railway operations, about the same railroad crossing a dangerous place. This system, communication between the train and railroad crossing. So the information from the train crossing while a train driver was monitored in real time with more information than can help prevent accidents on the crossing. Using the OSGi framework, can be used widely in many hardware.

  • We define a crossing point $x_0$ such that f(x)$\geq$g(x) for x$\leq$$x_0$ and f(x)$\leq$g(x) for x>$x_0$ where f and g are probability density functions. We may encounter suchy situation when we compare two histograms from two independent observations. For example two contingency tables where initially admitted students and actually enrolled students are classified according to their high school ranking may show such situation, In this paper we consider maximum likelihood estimation of cell probabilities when a crossing point exists, We first assume a known crossing point and find an estimator. The estimation procedure for the case of unknown crossing point is just a straightforward extension. A real data is analyzed for an illustrative purpose.

감천항의 장래 교통량 추정 및 교차상태위험 분석 (Estimation on the Future Traffic Volumes and Analysis on Crossing Situation Risk for Gamcheon Harbor)

  • 감천항은 부산항의 늘어나는 화물 수요에 대처하고 북항의 기능을 보완하기 위해 개발되었다. 일반부두뿐만 아니라 1997년에는 컨테이너 부두가 개장되어 현재 최대 50,000DWT급 컨테이너 선박이 입 출항 하고 있다. 그러나 감천항은 어선, 잡종선 등 소형선박들의 입 출항의 비중이 50%에 가깝고, 동부두 방면에 건설 중인 공영 수산도매시장이 2008년에 개장할 예정이다. 따라서 감천항의 항만관제 운영계획을 설정하기에 앞서 입 출항하는 선박의 장래 연간교통량을 파악하는 것이 필요하다. 또한 감천항은 방파제 입구가 협소하며, 방파제 전방에서 선박이 통항할 때 교차상태가 상존한으로 해상충돌사고의 위험이 높아 이에 대한 교차상태위험 분석이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 감천항의 장래 교통량을 추정하고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 통항위험에 대한 정량적인 분석을 수행하였다.

  • The development of Technology study for preventing of accident and reducing the risk through the intelligence of level crossing is provide the detection of stopped car at railway crossing with the most advanced intelligence technology such as sensor, computer, communication and date processing and transmit to the operational staff on broad for reaction or make the train stopped automatically through the connection with train. Also this study include that showing the situation of crossing railway when the train is approached and prevent the accident and reduce the risk through the connection of road transit signal system. On this study is performed the test through the date from spot level crossing and the development of video detection algorism for stopped road transit vehicle at level crossing with intelligent system.

A decentralized collision avoidance algorithm of two mobile robots using potential fields

  • A new collision avoidance algorithm is presented for two mobile robots in narrow corridor environments. When two robots meet each other in a narrow corridor, one should yield the way to the other robot. To solve the problem arising in this situation, they exchange their path to get information about crossing-points to check avoidance conditions, which are necessary for choosing the robot to yield. The conditions are summarized as follows. 1) If one robot blocks the path to the closest crossing-point in front of the other robot. 2) If the closest crossing-point of each robot is the same point. 3) Which robot is closer to the closest crossing-point. In this paper, we propose a path planning algorithm for the robot which yield the way. Simulation results are presented to verify the feasibility of the proposed collision avoidance algorithm.

Ground-born vibration at multileveled train tunnel crossing

  • In recent railway projects where the railway connects between cities, newly planned tunnels are often located close to, or beneath an existing tunnel. Many claims and petitions have voiced public concern about the vibration and noise resulting from the situation. Vibrations and noises are engineering issues as well as environmental problems, and have become more important as people have become more concerned with their the quality of life. However, it is unlikely that the effects of vibration in situations where trains simultaneously pass a multileveled tunnel crossing have been appropriately considered in the phase of planning and design. This study investigates the superposition characteristic of ground-born vibrations from a multileveled tunnel crossing. The results from model tests and numerical analysis show that the ground-born vibration can be amplified by a maximum of about 30% compared to that resulting from the existing single tunnel. Numerical parametric study has also shown that the vibration amplification effect increases as the ground stiffness, the tunnel depth, and the distance between tunnels decrease.

실습선 가야호 충돌회피 동작에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Collision-avoidance Action of the T.S. Kaya)

  • 항행중에 두 선박이 접근하여 충돌의 위험이 있을 경우 안전한계접근거리 즉 피항을 시작해야할 시점에 대해서 실선시험을 통한 자료에 근거를 하여 조종성지수를 산출하고 안전한계접근거리를 계산하여 제공함으로써 항행중에 선박의 조선자들이 상대선박과 피항동작을 취해야 할 경우에 경험이나 감각에만 의존함으로써 생기는 착오를 방지하고자 하였다. 앞의 논의 과정을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 조우각도가 같을 경우에도 타각을 10도사용하면 타각을 30도 사용할 때보다도 안전한계접근거리는 최소 1.3배에서 최대 1.8배정도 더 증가하므로 해상상태, 자선의 적하상태를 고려해서 대타각의 전타가 어려울 경우 특히 피항개시 시점을 충분히 주의해야한다. 2. 선박의 크기에 상관없이 조우각도가 90도 부근에서 충돌의 위험이 가장 커서 안전한계접근거리는 소형선(300톤급)에서는 자선 길이의 5.0배에서, 대형선(100,000톤급)에서는 10.7배로서 대형선일수록 피항개시 시기를 놓치지 않도록 해야 한다. 3. 조우각도가 적을 경우가 클 경우보다도 안전한계접근거리가 훨씬 크게 나타났고 대형선에서 더욱 두드러지게 나타났다.

  • 두 집단의 생존분포의 비교를 위한 방법으로는 로그-순위 검정법이 널리 쓰이고 있다. 그러나 이는 두 집단의 생존분포 간에 비례위험모형 가정이 성립하는 경우에 적합한 것으로써, 두 집단의 생존분포가 교차하는 상황 하에서는 해당 검정법의 유효성을 장담할 수 없다. 그러나 두 집단의 생존분포가 교차하는 상황은 빈번히 발생하며, 이 같은 상황에서 두 생존분포의 동일성 검정을 위한 여러 연구가 진행되어왔다. 본 논문에서는 두 집단 간 생존분포가 교차하는 상황 하에서의 동일성 검정을 위한 방법들을 고려한다. 나아가 교차하는 상황을 위치에 따라 세분화하고 모의실험을 통해 각 상황에서 다양한 검정법들의 검정력을 비교하였으며, 그 결과를 토대로 주어진 상황에서 적절한 방법의 선택에 유용한 정보를 제공하고자 한다.

The Relation between Human Behavior and Safety in the Collision Avoidance Situation

  • It can be said that the relationship between the maneuvering ability of operators and the navigational environment affects the safe degree of navigation in the collision avoidance situation. In order to reduce the occurrence probability of accident and to maintain the safety, it is necessary to clarify the relationship between human behavior and navigational environment. In this study, therefore, we analyzed and discussed the relationship between the maneuvering characteristics and the safety focused on human behavior as a fundamental factor of marine accidents using ship handling simulator and questionnaire. As a result, we concluded that navigational environment changes variously and the maneuvering ability of operators also varies with the navigational environment, and the ship handling characteristics strongly affect the occurrence probability of accident.

피항동작시의 한계접근거이에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Approaching Distance in Taking Action to Avoid Collision)

  • In the Sailing Rules of International Regulation for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972, any definite distance between two vessels approaching each other is not referred for adequate maneuvering to avoid collision. At sea the officer in charge of bridge duty is required to guess safe distance before he takes maneuvering actions needed to avoid collision. Papers on safe distances calculated on the base of the motiional characteristics of ships for collision avoiding actions are very few. In this paper, the minimum safe approaching distances necessary for actions to be taken to avoid collision are calculated in numerical numbers definitely by mathematic formula based on the maneuvering indices got from experiments of actual ships. On the assumption that two vessels same in size and conditions are approaching each other, the author calculated the minimum safe approaching distance as 4.5 times, sufficient safe approaching one as 9.0 times the length of the ship involved in head-on situation and 5.0 times, 10 times respectively the length of the ship in each case mentioned above in crossing situation.
