Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning established the mobile application accessibility guideline on 2011 to help people with disabilities to use mobile applications, and has intimated it for governmental and public institutions to utilize. This paper presents an analysis of relationship between success criteria in the current mobile application accessibility guideline and the issues raised by users based on user evaluation performed on 5 mobile applications. Analysis results show that the current mobile application accessibility guideline doesn't apply accessibility requirements thoroughly because some mobile applications could not be accessed by users although they are fulfilling the guideline. To fully provide mobile application accessibility, success criteria such as keyboard accessibility, control size, label and time limit that are raised from the result of user evaluation need to be added to the current guideline. And the guideline need to be amended with modification or elimination of some success criteria.

The condition assessment of bridges is one of the important procedures in the safety evaluation of the structures. The current inspection guideline is rather ambiguous and vague so that the inspection results based on the existing guidelines are highly subjective and varing from person to person and even day to day for a given person. It is therefore, necessary to improve the current inspection criteria in order to provide consistent results in safety assessment. To circumvent possible inconsistencies in inspection and rating of bridge components, the revised criteria have been proposed in this study. The proposed guideline and criteria may be efficiently used for the realistic and consistent assessment of bridge structures.

Environmental Impact Assessment System, ever since its enactment in Korea fourteen years ago, has been steadily improved by introduction and implementation of new concepts and methodologies which include Environmental Impact Statement(EIS) preparation technique, selection of environmental factors, and the like. However, current guideline requires that every EIS, regardless of the specifics of the project type or characteristics of the site, must evaluate and study for all twenty-two environmental factors as set forth in the regulation. The situation causes many undesirable problems like; lack of site specific evaluation in most EISs, over-sized EIS drafts, consuming too much time and costs for EIS preparation, and so on. The objectives of this study are: - To establish a set of criteria to classify the types of the projects in terms of features of the project content and the characteristics of the site area. - To establish a guideline for selecting major environmental factors of the project type criteria, and - To provide basic materials for the preparation of complets draft EIS of the Amendment of Environmental Impact Assessment Act.

The purpose of this paper is to suggest the development of the Guidelines on VTS English language competency test, according to IALA Guideline 1132 - VTS Voice Communications and Phraseology. As the foundation for improving VTSOs' communication capabilities throughout their career lifecycle in terms of training, accreditation, and revalidation, a development of a VTS-specific language testing system with explicit language testing evaluation criteria becomes more critical. With the aim of facilitating the discussion, a range of suggestions to be considered in the development of Guidelines on the VTS English competency test are made

Modern society is suffering from the phenomena of low-fertile, ultra-aging, and low-growth. On this social flow, most social classes undergo vulnerable situation and their overall housing and living condition have difficulties. So far many housing guidelines for diverse population were developed, recently, inclusive 'Customized Housing Design Guideline for Childcare Families' in terms of maintaining family and society has been completed. The purpose of this study is to analyze User Benefit Characteristics of 'Customized Housing Design Guideline for Childcare Families'. The research subjects are essential 140 guidelines appropriate to children's development and parents' care. The research method is contents analysis and the analysis criterion are 4 concepts of the User Benefit Criteria- 'Behavioral Facilitation (BF)', 'Physiological Maintenance (PhM)', 'Perceptual Maintenance (PM)', 'Social Facilitation (SF)'. 3 people inter-raters reliability was established. Altogether, the guidelines were rated in the order of PhM>PM>BF>SF, and these characteristics are similar as common universal design guidelines. This showed the supportability of spatial characteristics in the guidelines related to user's special behaviors. Also, the results show the importance of outdoor space planning for safe social interactions. The supportable characteristics of 'Customized Housing Design Guideline for Childcare Families' could be expected to efficiently apply for new housing development in the future.

In this study, we investigated web contents accessibility of 60 hospital web sites in Korea. The eight evaluation criteria were used for estimating the web contents accessibility of the web sites. These criteria were as follows: providing an alternative text, providing caption for moving picture, providing a skip navigation, usage of pop-up windows, usage of a summary or a caption tag for data table, providing a page title, providing a label for online form, and usage of java scripts. K-WAH 3.0 was used for estimating five evaluation criteria. According to Internet web contents accessibility guideline 1.0, we estimated the rest three evaluation criteria manually and described good or bad examples for the evaluation results technically. The results show that the web accessibility of hospital web sites is generally insufficient and the constant interests in improvement for accessibility are urgently needed.

IALA Guideline 1132 is intended to assist authorities in implementing the procedures described in IALA Recommendation R1012: VTS Communications with the objective of harmonizing VTS communications through the use of standard message structure and phraselogly. For this reason, it is recommended that VTS Authorities put adequate procedures in place to ensure its consistent and correct implementation for the actual VTS operation as is now being considered in IALA as part of the VTS English language proficiency test. In light of the 2022 publication of IALA Guideline 1132: VTS Voice Communications and Phraseology, in this sense, the potential evaluative variables will be studied in the context of this presentation.

The trigeminal nerve, one of the cranial nerves, innervates the maxillofacial area and has three branches: the ophthalmic, maxillary, and mandibular nerves. Paresthesia, due to damages to the inferior alveolar nerve and mental nerve (branches of the mandibular nerve), is quite frequent in dental implants and third molar extractions. As medical disputes are increasing, it is necessary to formulate an objective and reasonable disability evaluation. When evaluating the frequent rate of impairment for inferior alveolar nerve damage, it may be reasonable to follow the criteria for the rate of maxillofacial impairment of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) - the most scientific and reputable criteria based on the American Medical Association (AMA). Therefore, the Committee of Guides for Maxillofacial Impairment Ratings, in the Korean Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (KAOMS), is trying to suggest more reasonable and realistic guidelines for evaluating impairments by reviewing the current evaluation criteria and those of AMA and AAOMS.

Slips and falls are associated with many public injuries in Korea. It is also estimated that slipping are major contributors to slip, trip and fall injury burden. The primary purpose of the present study is to determine if, and to what extent, the standard could be improved in present environment. In order to fulfill our objective, the regulations in Korea and foreign countries were investigated and reviewed. Many kind of standard, mandatory documents and guideline were also reviewed. And then, regulations, standard, guideline etc. reviewed were compared with each others. Also, some criteria was developed in this study. Standard and criteria developed in this study will help to prevent slip, trip, and fall injuries.

This paper describes a proposed performance criteria and evaluation procedures for transmission system planning in Korea. Performance criteria of the transmission system are expected to be used as a guideline for investment into a transmission network. Moreover, performance evaluation procedures, which are based on current practices and widely accepted theories, are suggested to achieve fair and acceptable results.
