  • Using the tangible programming tools, which combines physical objects (e.g. robot) and educational programming language, may help to encourage learners' creative thinking as well as to enhance problem solving ability. That is, learners can have opportunities to simulate problem solving processes through the physical objects, such as robots. Therefore, they can minimize an fixation about problem solving process. These experience is effective to induce creative thinking that is useful to find new solutions and change environment actively. Therefore, we developed a robot based programming teaching and learning curriculum and implemented it in college level introductory programming courses. The result shows that the robot based programming learning has a positive effect in all three factors of learners' creative problem solving potential, especially in a cognitive factor. The cognitive factor includes general problem solving abilities as well as factors that explain creativity, such as divergent thinking, problem recognition, problem representation. These result means that the developed robot based programming teaching and learning curriculum give positive effect to creative problem solving abilities.

  • Cultivating creativity is one of the goals in science education. Previous studies report that students use visualization while they solve the creative science problem and it looks helpful to make them think more. For this study three $6^{th}$ grade students were selected in the consideration of pre-test through the qualitative think-aloud method. The results show that even though students have many ideas in planning stage in problem solving, they appeared to visualize familiar and empirical ideas at first. So if teachers want to watch another creative ideas, they tended to give enough time to visualize many ideas. Students drew lines, circles, "X"marks to select or remove information during their problem solving works. They said these marks seem to be useful to understand question. However, removal marks sometimes turn out to block another chance to re-think. Also students did not have a chance to reflect what they did. It means that they lose the chance to do convergent thinking. The implications of this study include the importance of students' visualization works to facilitate their creative ideas and support their problem solving strategies. In this study, we discuss the meaningful messages for teachers who construct science classroom for creativity.

  • This study investigated and analyzed the social and emotional learning components of middle school science, and high school integrated science and science inquiry experiments, which are common subjects that all students must complete. The subjects of analysis were 139 achievement standards of science and curriculum and 496 activities included in textbooks. The research results are as follows. In the case of curriculum achievement standards, 'cultural understanding' was hardly included among the seven science and social-emotional learning elements, 'numeracy' and 'creative thinking' appeared high in middle school, 'critical thinking', 'social technology' and 'ethical understanding' were included with high frequency in high school. And in the case of textbook activity, the tendency of social-emotional learning elements in middle school and high school was similar. 'critical thinking', 'creative thinking', and 'social skills' were mainly provided, while 'ethical understanding' and 'cultural understanding' were reflected in a limited way. In order to cultivate the elements of overall social-emotional learning, it is necessary to specify the achievement standards of the curriculum or to supplement the textbook activities and teaching-learning process.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop children's creativity by applying creative problem solving model to elementary school science. Creative problem solving(CPS), the theoretical frame of model is proposed by Treffinger et al.(1994). CPS model is based on a substantial foundation of theory and research about creativity and problem solving. It is a well organized, deliberate set of methods you can call upon whenever you need new ideas or solutions and a process anyone can use to deal with many of life's everyday problems, opportunities, and challenges. CPS consists of three components. Within these three components, there are six specific stages during which creative and critical thinking abilities are used in harmony. Each stage involves both divergent and convergent thinking. The study was conducted for six week during the 1998 two semester in A elementary school which is located in Incheon. Eighty three 2nd grade students are selected for this study. The students were divided into two groups--experimental group and control group. The experimental group were taught in applying the CPS model, and the control group were taught by the traditional manner. Data for this study were collected by questionnaire which were developed by this researcher, and were analyzed by SPSSWIN 8.0. The results of this study were as follows: There was a significant difference on creativity between the instruction by applying CPS model and the traditional instruction. There was also gender differences on creativity between two groups. On fluency and flexibility as components of creativity, there was a signigicant difference between two groups. In conclusion, the instruction by applying CPS model was more effective in developing children's creativity than the traditional instruction.

  • This study was performed to investigate the effects of creative teaching technique(CTT) on critical thinking disposition(CTD), problem solving process(PSP), and self-leadership(SL) in 5 majors of first to third grades in a college nursing department. CTT was developed to promote memory and practical ability. The study was conducted from August 1 to December 31 in 2017, and the survey was performed before and after applying the CTT. As a result, there was no difference in CTD, PSP, and SL in the first graders whom applied various teaching techniques to one subject. But CTD was 6.8point(p<0.001), PSP was 7.5~7.9point(p<0.001) and SL was 2.9~3.3point(p<0.001) improved in the second and third grades whom applied similar teaching techniques in two subjects. In order to improve the students' core competency, it is more effective for students to apply one or two methods repeatedly in several subjects than to apply various methods to one subject. Since the CTT was more effective in the group that selected the major depending on aptitude and interest, it is necessary to develop various teaching and learning strategies to enhance the interest in nursing major.

  • In the present context of systemic global crisis, this paper focuses on a sustainable society. Throughout the World there are vast members of the unemployes. A secure job lasting a lifetime has become more and more rare. Nowadays majority of jobs are part-time or temporary. $Andr{\acute{e}}$ Gorz found a solution in a policy of the progessive reduction in labor time. This is the potential which automated production opens up for a culture society. Nevertheless, Gorz's proposal is based on utopion ideals. This paper focuses on a dynamic force for a culture society, especially art, learning and the third sector. Adrienne Goehler underlines that a culture in the broad sense of the word produces economical and social productivity. In this connection Goehler give attention to 'Cultrual Creatives' and the Creative Class. Cultural creatives are comprised of people who have participated in the process of creating a new culture with enlightened creativity. The Creative Class is a class of workers whose job is to create economic growth through innovation. Creativity is important for a sustainable society. Gore and Rifkin both come close to the ecological thinking. Gore claims that ecosystem of nature have a self-organizing capacity. In this context tried to prove this article that ecosystem is closely connected with a creative environment.
