Simulation of injection-compression molding for thin and large battery housing

  • Injection compression molding (ICM) is an advantageous processing method for producing thin and large polymeric parts in a robust manner. In the current study, we employed the ICM process for an energy-related application, i.e., thin and large polymeric battery case. A mold for manufacturing the battery case was fabricated using injection molding. The filling behavior of molten polymer in the mold cavity was investigated experimentally. To provide an in-depth understanding of the ICM process, ICM and normal injection molding processes were compared numerically. It was found that the ICM had a relatively low filling pressure, which resulted in reduced shrinkage and warpage of the final products. Effect of the parting line gap on the ICM characteristics, such as filling pressure, clamping force, filling time, volumetric shrinkage, and warpage, was analyzed via numerical simulation. The smaller gap in the ICM parting line led to the better dimensional stability in the finished product. The ICM sample using a 0.1 mm gap showed a 76% reduction in the dimensional deflection compared with the normal injection molded part.

관찰가능성과 중요도를 고려한 관찰·추천용 초등 영재 행동 특성 체크리스트 개발 (Development of a Gifted Behavior Checklist Based on the Observation Probability and Importance of the Behavior in Class)

  • 본 연구는 현재 전국의 모든 영재교육 기관에서 영재 학생을 선발할 때 적용하고 있는 관찰 추천 방법에 활용 가능한 영재 행동 특성 체크리스트를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 기존 영재 행동 특성 체크리스트들은 제시한 문항들이 학교생활을 통해 관찰이 불가능하거나 애매한 항목들을 다수 포함하고 있거나, 영재 행동 특성으로서 그 중요도가 떨어지거나, 유사한 특성들이 반복되거나 혹은 다수의 문항으로 인해 실제 관찰 추천에서 활용도가 떨어지는 등의 문제점들이 지속적으로 제기되어 왔다. 이에 본 척도는 기존 연구에서 제시하고 있는 영재 행동 특성 요인들을 바탕으로 학교 현장에서 학생들을 직접 지도하고 있는 영재 교사들에 의해 '실제로' 관찰 가능성이 높은 영재 행동 특성과 각 특성들의 '중요도'를 반영했다는 데 의의가 있다. 본 척도는 현장의 영재 지도교사들을 대상으로 영재 행동 특성 요인과 구체적인 행동 양상에 대한 개방형 설문을 받고, 이를 전문가 그룹의 검토와 예비 검사, 본 검사, 확인적 요인 분석의 과정을 통해 개발하였다. 관찰 가능성과 중요도란 기준 적용으로 개발된 체크리스트는 일부 요인들을 제거하여 최종적으로 10개의 하위요인(논리적 사고, 높은 성취도, 독창성, 완벽주의, 창의적문제해결력, 호기심, 과제집착력, 의사소통 능력, 창의성, 활동성(열정))으로 구성되었으며, 각 요인별로 2~4개 문항이 제시되어 총 32개의 행동 특성 문항으로 개발되었다. 최종 32문항에 대한 내적합치도(${\alpha}$)와 문항-총점 상관을 분석한 결과 모두 양호한 값을 보여 영재 행동 특성 척도의 각 문항이 해당 구인을 일관성 있게 측정하는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 영재 행동 특성 체크리스트에 대한 확인적 요인 분석 결과 모든 문항들이 각 하위 요인에 높게 부하되어 영재 행동 특성을 측정하는 체크리스트로 적합하며, 현장에서 초등학교 영재 학생들을 관찰 추천할 때 활용할 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.

소셜미디어 사용에서 창의성과 콘텐츠 제작에 대한 탐색적 연구 (The Exploratory Study of Creativity and Contents Creation in Social Media)

  • 소셜미디어 서비스 플랫폼에서 이용자가 콘텐츠를 생산하고 공유하는 활동이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 소셜미디어 이용자는 일상적인 생활 콘텐츠를 게재하는 것뿐만 아니라 창의성을 기반으로 콘텐츠를 모방하고 창작하는 행위를 많이 한다. 이에 본 논문은 소셜미디어 사용에서 개인의 창의성과 모방 그리고 창의적 행동 간의 영향 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 또한 소셜미디어 사용자의 연령 및 학력과 창의성간의 상호작용이 모방에 미치는 효과를 파악함으로써 개인수준의 인구통계학적 특성이 창의성과 모방과의 관계에 미치는 조절 효과를 실증 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 소셜미디어 서비스를 이용하는 개인들을 대상으로 약 3달간 설문조사를 수행하였으며, 최종적으로 564개의 설문데이터를 대상으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과들을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 창의성은 모방에 유의한 수준에서 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 반면 창작에는 직접적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 둘째, 소셜미디어에서 모방은 콘텐츠 창작에서 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 소셜미디어 사용자의 연령과 학력수준이 창의성과 모방간의 관계를 조절하지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구의 실무적, 학문적 시사점을 제시하였다.

RN-BSN 학생 요구에 근거한 교육과정 개선방안 연구 (A Study on Plans for Improvement of RN-BSN Curriculum Based on the Needs of the Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the needs of RN-BSN students concerning the RN-BSN curriculum and make suggestions for improvement in the curriculum based on the needs of the students. Method: A descriptive survey study was used. Data were collected from 707 RN-BSN senior students in 21 universities. The research instrument, which was developed after in-depth interviews with 13 RN-BSN students, consisted of 10 curriculum objectives, 34 cultural courses, 48 major courses, three questions on clinical practicum, and teaching methods for 5 required courses. Result: The curriculum objectives selected by the RN-BSN students were problem solving, clinical applicability, critical thinking, creative thinking, and decision making. They wanted cultural courses such as English, understanding of human behavior, social welfare, women's studies, psychology, nutrition science, leadership, recreation, computer applications, exercise and health. They wanted major courses to include the nursing process, nursing research, health assessment, advanced adult nursing, infection control, spiritual/hospice nursing, and nursing of cancer patients. They responded that a clinical practicum was not necessary. They wanted to experience various teaching methods according to particular characteristics of subject being taught. Conclusion: This study suggests some recommendation for improvement of the curriculum based on the needs of RN-BSN students.

  • With an increasing number of at-risk adolescents, the environmental and personal risk factors that have been building up inside them as a result of not feeling protected at school or at home are manifested externally as anxiety, depression, rage, complexes, lethargy, violence, and alienation. This study intends to help at-risk adolescents to discover what they are good at, nurture their dreams, and help them to develop themselves through various culture and arts experience programs so that they can have better self-esteem through the wholesome understanding of themselves. The objective of this study, in paticular, is to help young girls who are interested in the physical appearance to develop higher self-esteem through self-management and creative programs for related to fashion, beauty, culture, and the arts. A questionnaire survey on the appearance management behavior, the recognition of image, and the request for participation in a fashion styling program. It was prepared based on the appearance management behaviors during the adolescence, body image, and lifestyle analyzed with past studies. The characteristics of appearance management during adolescence were examined. An the appearance management program was developed that centered on yhe major variables, and a fashion and appearance management activity program was developed that centered on the appearance management techniques preferred by young girls based on the result of analysis.

종합병원 질향상 사업 담당자의 직무만족과 조직몰입에 관한 연구 (Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment of Quality Improvement Coordinators in General Hospitals)

  • This study was planned to provide basic data for activating quality improvement by genera hospital with more than 400 beds across the country, of which 65 coordinators answered. Main results of the study are as follows.. 1. Job satisfaction and organizational commitment by individual characteristics were compared. It was revealed that the sense of self-efficacy was related to job satisfaction positively. But job satisfaction and organizational commitment by locus of control showed no significant difference. 2. In terms of the characteristics of QI activities, the active participation of QI coordinators in QI planning process and smooth communication among hospital staffs were showed positive relationship to job satisfaction significantly. 3. Also support system was proposed as most significant variable related to the job satisfaction and the organizational commitment of QI coordinators. Especially support to QI activities by CEO's, seniors, and other hospital staff was a factor to enhance the job satisfaction and organizational commitment of QI coordinators. 4. In the aspect of organizational culture, culture which were tendency to be recognized high autonomy in their work and organizational identity strongly and to operate reasonable compensation system were related to job satisfaction and organizational commitment positively. The more formalized climate, supportive communication, cooperative teamwork and promoting creative/risk take behavior, it showed the higher organizational commitment. 5. For the aspect of QI job characteristics, QI coordinators' job satisfaction was high when QI office was arranged for independent department which was exclusively in charge of QI activities and their role is exclusively in charge of QI. It can be concluded that organizational support in the aspect of relation and finance and efforts of encouraging their motivation and providing on the job training program are need.

Toluene Inhalation Causes Early Anxiety and Delayed Depression with Regulation of Dopamine Turnover, 5-HT1A Receptor, and Adult Neurogenesis in Mice

  • Inhaled solvents such as toluene are of particular concern due to their abuse potential that is easily exposed to the environment. The inhalation of toluene causes various behavioral problems, but, the effect of short-term exposure of toluene on changes in emotional behaviors over time after exposure and the accompanying pathological characteristics have not been fully identified. Here, we evaluated the behavioral and neurochemical changes observed over time in mice that inhaled toluene. The mice were exposed to toluene for 30 min at a concentration of either 500 or 2,000 ppm. Toluene did not cause social or motor dysfunction in mice. However, increased anxiety-like behavior was detected in the short-term after exposure, and depression-like behavior appeared as delayed effects. The amount of striatal dopamine metabolites was significantly decreased by toluene, which continued to be seen for up to almost two weeks after inhalation. Additionally, an upregulation of serotonin 1A (5-HT1A) receptor in the hippocampus and the substantia nigra, as well as reduced immunoreactivity of neurogenesis markers in the dentate gyrus, was observed in the mice after two weeks. These results suggest that toluene inhalation, even single exposure, mimics early anxiety-and delayed depression-like emotional disturbances, underpinned by pathological changes in the brain.

독특성 추구성향과 호기심이 아트 콜라보레이션 제품에 대한 소비자의 감정에 미치는 영향: 성별에 따른 조절효과 (The Effect of Curiosity and Need for Uniqueness on Emotional Responses to Art Collaborated Products including Moderating Effect of Gender)

  • 연구목적 - 최근 기업에서 마케팅이나 광고를 할 때 아트를 활용하여 기존의 명화나 아티스트들과 협업한 새로운 작품을 제품에 접목하거나, 마케팅에 활용하는 경우가 늘어나는 추세이다. 아트 콜라보레이션 제품을 새로운 자극으로 생각하고, 자극에 민감하게 반응하는 독특성 추구성향과 호기심이 많은 소비자일수록 아트 콜라보레이션 제품에 대한 호감도가 증가할 것으로 본다. 따라서 본 연구는 아트마케팅에 대해 전반적으로 살펴보고, 개인특성인 호기심과 독특성 추구성향이 아트 콜라보레이션 제품에 대한 소비자의 감정에 미치는 영향과 구매의도에 미치는 영향을 알아 보았다. 그리고 성별에 따라 개인특성과 소비자의 감정 사이에 미치는 영향은 차이가 있을 것이라 예측하고 성별의 조절효과를 살펴보았다. 연구결과 - 호기심은 긍정적 감정에 정의 영향을 미치며, 환기와 부정적 감정에는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 독특성 추구성향 중 창의적 선택은 긍정적 감정과 환기에 정의 영향을 미치며, 부정적 감정에 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 독특성 추구성향 중 비대중적 선택은 긍정적 감정과 부정적 감정에는 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 환기에는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 독특성 추구성향 중 유사성 회피는 소비자의 감정에 어떠한 영향도 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 성별에 따른 차이를 살펴본 결과, 창의적 선택과 부정적 감정 사이와 비대중적 선택과 부정적 감정 사이에서만 남녀 간의 차이가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 시사점 - 소비자의 호기심을 유발시킬 수 있는 새로운 디자인이나 전략을 시도하면 효과적일 것을 알 수 있으며, 독특성 욕구 중 자신의 정체성을 표현하고자 하는 욕구가 높은 사람이 아트 제품에 대하여 감정의 영향을 많이 받음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 지속적으로 예술가들과 콜라보레이션 활동을 통해 소비자의 감성을 자극하는 제품을 생산해야 할 것이다. 성별에 따른 큰 차이가 없으므로 남녀 구분없이 모두의 관심을 끌 수 있는 마케팅을 해도 무관하다는 것을 알 수 있다.

초등과학영재학생의 자기주도성과 과학창의성의 관계 (The Relationship between Self-Directedness and Scientific Creativity of Science-Gifted Elementary Students)

  • This study analyzed the relationship between self-directedness of science-gifted elementary students and their expression of scientific creativity in science-gifted class. A science-gifted program on the topic of Hydraulic Machine was implemented to 34 fifth-graders in the Science-Gifted Education Center of an education office in Seoul, Korea for four weeks. The self-directedness of the gifted students was divided into three types of 'General, Scientific, and Topic-Related Self-Directedness'. The products of the students' activities were assessed by using a scientific creativity assessment formula. Qualitative research, such as analysis of observations and interviews, was also conducted in order to identify characteristics that were not apparently revealed by quantitative data. The main results of this study are as follows: First, science-gifted elementary students' general self-directedness and their scientific creativity were significantly correlated (r=.373). Second, the students' scientific self-directedness and scientific creativity did not have a significant correlation (r=.294). Third, there was a positive correlation between the students' topic-related self-directedness and their expression of scientific creativity. Their self-rated scores (r=.420) for the topic-related self-directedness and the number of activity types associated with the topic had a positive correlation (r=.350). Fourth, the students were categorized into four groups according to the levels of their self-directedness and scientific creativity, and the result showed that Type HH (high self-directedness and high scientific creativity) was the most common type (15 students, 38.5%), followed by Type LL (low self-directedness and low scientific creativity) (11 students, 28.2%). Eight (20.5%) and five students (12.8 %) belonged to Type LH (low self-directedness and high scientific creativity) and Type HL (high self-directedness and low scientific creativity) respectively. Fifth, the classroom observation of the students in groups revealed that groups with more number of Type HH demonstrated better cooperation and performance. Sixth, the analysis results of the observation were almost matched to the results of the self-directedness and scientific creativity tests. The students with higher self-directedness demonstrated active class participation and good cooperative skills. The students with higher scientific creativity had a tendency to generate creative ideas more frequently in given situations. Seventh, dynamic activities were perceived as enjoyable and exciting by 76.9% of the students, but static activities that require creativity were regarded as interesting only by 23.1% of the students. Among the students who were satisfied with both the creative and static activities, Type HH accounted for the largest proportion (55.6%). In conclusion, factors such as students' interests, initiatives, and attitudes displayed through voluntary participations originated from their own daily life can predict the degree of scientific creativity associated with the topic. Also, when students were categorized into four types according to the level of self-directedness and scientific creativity, there was a tendency of active behavior in class, cooperative skill, and activity satisfaction. This suggested that we should consider self-directedness and scientific creativity in selecting the gifted, grouping them in class, and designing and executing programs for science-gifted elementary students.

공통 교육과정과 기본 교육과정의 연계를 통한 초등학교 음악과 통합수업의 교육과정 재구성 방안: 지적장애 학생을 위한 창작 활동을 중심으로 (Reconstructing the Curriculum for Inclusive Music Classes in Elementary School by Linking the Common Curriculum and the Basic Curriculum)

  • 본 연구는 통합학급의 특수교육대상학생에게 적합한 교육을 제공하기 위한 교육과정 재구성 방안을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 공통 교육과정과 기본 교육과정의 연계를 통하여 특수교육대상학생을 위한 맞춤형 음악과 교육과정 재구성 모형을 제시하였다. 이는 특수교육대상학생의 특성 및 교육적 요구 분석, 음악과 공통 교육과정 및 기본 교육과정 분석, 특수교육대상학생을 위한 세분화된 평가준거 성취기준 설정, 공통 교육과정 및 기본 교육과정의 음악과 교과서 분석, 음악과 단원의 교육활동 재구성, 맞춤형 음악과 수업 실시의 6단계로 이루어진다. 또한 본 연구에서는 지적장애 학생을 위한 창작 활동을 중심으로 음악과 교육과정 재구성의 예시를 제시하였다. 이와 같은 음악과 교육과정 재구성을 통하여 학교 현장에서 특수교육대상학생의 교육적 필요에 따라 교육과정을 재구성할 수 있는 구체적 방안을 제시하였다.
