탑승자 안전도를 고려한 교각 방호시설물 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Non-Redirective Crash Cushion for Bridge Piers Considering Occupant Safety)

  • The traffic accident types are largely classified into vehicle to vehicle accident, vehicle-to-person accident and single-vehicle. Especially, the single-vehicle accident types are severe when the vehicle crashed into road facilities such as bridge, piers, utility poles. The severity of single-vehicle accidents are ten times higher than that of all other accidents types. It is needed to consider to reduce accident severity. This study was conducted to develop crash worthy safety design facility to ensure the vehicle occupant safety. The simulation and the crash tests were conducted for assessment of the safety performance to check the criteria of CC2(Crash Cushion 2) level. THIV(Theoretical Head Impact Velocity) and PHD(Post-impact Head Deceleration) were used to assess occupant impact severity for crashes. The non-redirection collision test conditions for 900 kg and 1,300 kg-head on crash tests, 900 kg-1/4 offset crash tests, 1,300 kg-head on crash test with $15^{\circ}$angle were conducted. The simulation and experiment test result showed that THIV values were below 44 km/h criterion, PHD values were below the 20G. The development non-redirective crash cushion is expected to be used for the fixed object such as bridge piers for assuring occupant safety.

  • 교통사고발생시 사고 심각도에 영향을 미치는 요인과 그 관계를 이해하는 것은 기하구조나 환경 측면에서 교통사고 발생을 예방하고 운전자와 사고 차량의 특성을 이해하는데 도움을 준다. 본 연구에서는 계층 이항 로지스틱모형에 의해 고속도로 교통사고 심각도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고 영향변수 간 차이를 나타내는 비교위험도(odds ratio)를 도출하였다. 사고 심각도는 인명피해와 차량피해로 구분하여 사망사고모형과 차량완파사고모형을 구축하였다, 종속변수는 사망자 발생과 완파차량 발생 여부이며, 각각 사고-탑승자, 사고-차량의 2수준 계층구조를 적용하였다. 추정 결과 설명변수의 고정효과는 두 모형이 유사한 결과를 보이나 종속변수의 속성에 따라 차별화된 결과를 나타내기도 하였다. 본선과 진출입부에서의 사고가 가장 위험하며, 중앙선 침범과 통행위반, 과속 사고의 상해나 차량 파손 위험도가 높고, 충돌사고와 추돌사고, 화재 사고의 피해가 크다. 사고 심각도는 노면 상태나 시야 조건 등 외부환경에 영향을 받으나 기하구조 조건은 관련이 없다.

특수관계자 거래가 주가급락에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Related Party Transactions on Crash Risk)

  • Purpose - This paper examines the effect of related party transactions on crash firm-specific stock price crash risk. Ownership of a typical Korean conglomerate is concentrated in a single family. In those entities, management and board positions are often filled by family members. Therefore, a dominant shareholder can benefit from related party transactions. In Korea, firms have to report related party transactions in financial statement footnotes. However, those are not disclosed in detail. The more related party transactions are the greater information risk. Thus, companies with related party transactions are likely to experience stock price crashes. Research design, data, and methodology - 2,598 firm-year observations are used for the main analysis. Those samples are from TS2000 database from 2009 to 2013, and the database covers KOSPI-listed firms in Korea. The proxy for related party transactions (RTP) is calculated by dividing total transactions to the related-party by total sales. A dummy variable is used as a dependent variable (CRASH) in the regression model. Logistic regression is used to explain the relationship between related party transactions and crash risk. Then, the sample was separated into two groups; tunneling firms and propping firms. The relation between related party transactions and crash risk variances with features of the transaction were investigated. Results - Using a sample of KOSPI-listed firms in TS2000 database for the period of 2009-2013, I find that stock price crash risk increases as the trade volume of related-party transactions increases. Specifically, I find that the coefficient of RPT is significantly positive, supporting the prediction. In addition, this relationship is strong and robust in tunneling firms. Conclusions - The results report that firms with related party transactions are more likely to experience stock price crashes. The results mean that related party transactions increase the possibility of future stock price crashes by enlarging information asymmetry between controlling shareholders and minority shareholders. In case of tunneling, it could be seen that related party transactions are positively associated with stock crash risk. The result implies that the characteristic of the transaction influences crash risk. This study is related to a literature that investigates the effect of related party transactions on the stock market.

경영자과신이 주가급락위험에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Managerial Overconfidence on Crash Risk)

  • Purpose - This paper investigates whether managerial overconfidence is associated with firm-specific crash risk. Overconfidence leads managers to overestimate the returns of their investment projects, and misperceive negative net present value projects as value creating. They even use voluntary disclosures to convey their optimistic beliefs about the firms' long-term prospects to the stock market. Thus, the overconfidence bias can lead to managerial bad news hoarding behavior. When bad news accumulates and crosses some tipping point, it will come out all at once, resulting in a stock price crash. Research design, data and methodology - 7,385 firm-years used for the main analysis are from the KIS Value database between 2006 and 2013. This database covers KOSPI-listed and KOSDAQ-listed firms in Korea. The proxy for overconfidence is based on excess investment in assets. A residual from the regression of total asset growth on sales growth run by industry-year is used as an independent variable. If a firm has at least one crash week during a year, it is referred to as a high crash risk firm. The dependant variable is a dummy variable that equals 1 if a firm is a high crash risk firm, and zero otherwise. After explaining the relationship between managerial overconfidence and crash risk, the total sample was divided into two sub-samples; chaebol firms and non-chaebol firms. The relation between how I overconfidence and crash risk varies with business group affiliation was investigated. Results - The results showed that managerial overconfidence is positively related to crash risk. Specifically, the coefficient of OVERC is significantly positive, supporting the prediction. The results are strong and robust in non-chaebol firms. Conclusions - The results show that firms with overconfident managers are likely to experience stock price crashes. This study is related to past literature that examines the impact of managerial overconfidence on the stock market. This study contributes to the literature by examining whether overconfidence can explain a firm's future crashes.

저속충돌조건에서 효과적인 충돌에너지흡수를 위한 알루미늄 크래쉬 박스의 비드형상 효과 (Effect of Bead Shape in Aluminum Crash Box for Effective Impact Energy Absorption Under Low- Velocity Impact Condition)

  • 알루미늄 크래쉬 박스는 저속충돌조건에서 프론트 사이드 멤버를 변형을 방지하기 위한 부품이다. 본 연구에서는 저속충돌조건에서 비드형상이 알루미늄 크래쉬 박스의 충돌성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. Edge concave, surface convex 와 surface concave 타입의 비드형상들에 대한 충돌해석 및 실험을 수행하여 비드가 없는 normal 타입의 알루미늄 크래쉬 박스의 충돌성능과 비교분석하였다. 충돌성능은 저속충돌조건에서 크래쉬 박스의 초기 최대하중 및 충돌에너지 흡수능으로 평가하였다. 이를 검증하기 위해 알루미늄 크래쉬 박스와 결합된 프론트 사이드 멤버에 대해 저속충돌실험 수행하고, 이를 분석하였다. Surface concave 타입의 비드가 삽입된 알루미늄 크래쉬 박스 경우, 프론트 사이드 멤버의 변형을 방지할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

충격흡수시설에 대한 특정 충돌시험데이터의 확대해석 (Transforming Test Data of an Impact to a Crash Cushion into the Data of Different Impact Condition)

  • 충돌해석 데이터의 확대해석 사례는 미국의 도로안전시설 지침인 MASH(Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware, AASHTO, 2009)에서 2,270 kg 픽업트럭의 충격흡수시설에 대한 충돌시험 데이터로부터 1,500 kg 중형승용차의 안전도를 계산하는 절차에 관한 내용을 최초로 소개하였다. MASH 방법에 따라 1.3 ton 차량의 충돌시험 데이터로부터 0.9 ton 차량의 충돌데이터 및 안전지수를 계산하여 0.9 ton 차량의 충돌실험 데이터와 비교하였다. 비교 결과 MASH방법으로 계산한 0.9 ton 차량의 충돌데이터 및 안전지수가 충돌실험 데이터와 큰 차이를 나타낸다는 것을 확인하였고 그 원인을 분석하여 새로운 확대해석 방법을 개발하였다. 개발된 확대해석 방법은 질량이 큰 차량(1.3 ton)의 충돌시험 데이터로부터 작은 차량(0.9 ton)의 충돌 데이터를 계산할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 작은 차량(0.9 ton)의 충돌 데이터로 부터 큰 차량(1.3 ton)의 데이터를 계산할 수 있다. 개발된 확대해석 방법은 정확도가 MASH에 비하여 월등하고 이론적인 원리가 확실하다. 본 논문은 충돌시험 데이터를 이용하여 새로운 확대해석 방법의 효율성과 정확도를 입증하고 그 원리를 규명하였다.

상호 안전성 대응 차체 전방 구조에 관한 연구 (A Study on Vehicle Frontal Structure for Crash Compatibility)

  • In recent years, rapid-increasing market share of compact cars and SUVs has brought for both consumer and automaker to pay more attention on crash compatibility between the compact passenger vehicles and the light trucks (i.e., Pickups and SUVs). Vehicle compatibility regarding both self and partner protection in frontal crash of different class vehicles is one of hot issues in vehicle safety. Furthermore, it is expected that the amendment of UNECE-Regulation 94 to implement compatibility issues in couple of coming years. In this study, conceptual design of compatibility compliant frontal vehicle structure which subjects to improve? the distribution of frontal crash loading and structural engagement between vehicles is introduced. The effects of proposed vehicle structure on both possible candidates (i.e. FWRB, FWDB and PDB) for a compatibility evaluation test procedure and car-to-car crash are also investigated.

저속 40%오프셋 충돌시험을 통한 차량의 손상성 .수리성 및 안전성에 관한연구 (Damageability , Repairability and Safety of Vehicles at Low Speed 40% Offset Crash Test)

  • The research committee for automobile repairs (RCAR), an international body of insurance research centers, has adopted the typical low speed crash test based on an average damage level in crash accidents to estimate the damageability , repairability and safety. The characteristics of body acceleration and the probability of injury are investigated based on damaged components, accelerations of body and injured dummy to analyze damageability and the driver's safety under low speed crash environment. It is found from the experimental results that the probability of head and thorax injuries are very low comparing to the injury criteria of FMVSS No.208. Furthermore, it is suggested that the deployment of airbag may not be necessary at RCAR low speed frontal crash test.

차량 충돌 해석을 통한 중앙분리대의 최적 성능 설계 (Optimal Performance Design for Concrete Median Barrier with Crashworthiness Analysis)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an optimal performance design ova concrete median barrier using the design of experiment and crash simulation which is done by Pam-Crash, one of the commercial crash simulation software. A formula of characteristic value was suggested to obtain an optimal performance design considering all of von Mises stress, volume and acceleration at center of gravity of a heavy truck. An optimal design of a concrete median barrier was obtained by the analysis of variance based on design of experiment and crash simulation. A crash simulation with the optimal design was accomplished in order to verify the suitability of the suggested formula and the proper application of the design of experiment. The obtained optimal design was satisfied for a domestic design regulation of a concrete median barrier.

차 대 차 정면충돌시험을 통한 상호안전성 연구 (Research on Vehicle Crash Compatibility Through Car to Car Frontal Crash Test)

  • Since 2000, sports utility vehicles(SUVs) occupy about 40% of domestic vehicle sales. As sports utility vehicle sales are increased the probability of crash accident between SUVs and passenger vehicles increases. Generally, SUVs are heavier than passenger vehicles and their drive height and front end stillness are higher than passenger vehicles. Because of these characteristics SUVs cause more severe injury and fatal injury in SUV to passenger vehicle head-on impact. To evaluate SUV's aggessivity to passenger vehicle, we carried out SUV to passenger vehicle head-on crash test. And finally the way how to reduce incompatibility between SUVs and passenger vehicles is suggested.
