컨테이너 터미날에서의 유전자 해법을 이용한 적하계획법 (Load Scheduling Using a Genetic Algorithm in Port Container Terminals)

  • An application of the genetic algorithm(GA) to the loading sequencing problem in port container terminals is presented in this paper. The efficiency of loading operations in port container terminals is highly dependent on the loading sequence of export containers. In order to sequence the loading operation, we hove to determine the route of each container handling equipment (transfer crane or straddle carried in the yard during the loading operation. The route of a container handling equipment is determined in a way of minimizing the total container handling time. An encoding method is developed which keeps intermediate solutions feasible and speeds up the evolution process. We determine the sequence of each individual container which the container handling equipment picks up at each yard-bay as well as the visiting sequence of yard-bays of the equipment during the loading operation. A numerical experiment is carried out to evaluate the performance of the algorithm developed.

  • Automated container terminals have been developed over the world years and many countries are interested in them because the amount of containers exported or imported is rapidly increasing. The conventional container terminals were not designed to handle this kind of heavily many containers. They would face many structural problems soon or later, although they have been managed to do well so far. One of the most important things in automated container terminal is the handing equipments able to transfer many containers efficiently. Those are maybe automated transfer cranes, automatic guided vehicles and automated quay-side cranes. The word 'automated' means the equipment is operated without drivers and those equipments are able to work without any interruption in working schedule. Through the researches on the conventional transfer cranes, we decided that the structure of conventional transfer cranes is not proper in automated container terminal and it is not possible to handle so many container in limited time. Therefore we have been studying on the proper structure of the automated container for past several years and a new type of transfer cranes has been developed. Design concept and control method of the new crane are introduced and experimental results are presented in this paper.his paper.

  • Lifting plan in conjunction with the overall construction plan will be established. It is being created by executive director of the Corporation and other such as an experienced site manager. But, written lifting plan based on the limited information and experience is causing some problems such as decreasing productivity, workability loss, delay. The reasons for the problems are lack of prediction of construction execution, inappropriate materials on the past performance, individual experience, limits of knowledge, lack of technical materials, shortage of advisor. Therefore, to solve the problems, we have to overcome the situation in which we depends on lifting planner's experience and intuition, limited information by accumulating objective and reliable materials. Because unorganized lifting plan will lower efficiency of lifting equipment and make reducing construction period difficult. In this study, influence factors on lifting plans will be derived through reviewing literatures and lifting plan cases. Derived influence factors will be classified as components and classes, classified influence factors are assessed suitability. Also, Decision making items are derived from the factors. Finally, tower crane lifting plan process will be suggested from the result.

Constant amplitude fatigue test of high strength bolts in grid structures with bolt-sphere joints

  • The grid structure with bolt-sphere joints is widely adopted by industrial plants with suspending crane. The alternating reciprocating action of the suspending crane will cause fatigue problems of the grid structure with bolt-sphere joints with respect to the rod, the cone, the sealing plate, the bolt ball and the high strength bolt; while the fatigue of the high strength bolt is the key issue of fatigue failure. Based on efficient and smooth loading equipment with the AMSLER fatigue testing machine, this paper conducted a constant amplitude fatigue test on 18 M20 and 14 M30 high strength bolts with 40Cr material, and obtained 19 valid failure points, 9 unspoiled points with more than 2 million cycles, and 4 abnormal failure points. In addition, it established the constant amplitude fatigue design method, ${[{\Delta}{\sigma}]_{{2{\times}10}}{^6=58.91MPa}$, and analyzed the stress concentration and the fatigue fracture of high strength bolts. It can be explained that the geometrical stress concentration of high-strength bolt caused by spiral burr is severe.

중량물 설치 시 이동식 크레인 기종선정에 관한 연구 (HA Study on the Selection of Mobile Crane Model for Heavy Equipments Installation)

  • This study focuses on avoiding the failures from the wrong selections by experiences as simulation programs is not available, and suggests the methods which effectively select the alternatives when the selected model is not appropriate for the original plan. First, CC8800-1K of DEMAG has the longest boom whose length is 216 m at the maximum. The combination of the boom is feasible to second level except for MANITIWOC M 2250 (M-1200 RINGER) which is possible to third level. Second, the angle of boom is from 20 degrees to 82 degrees. Suitable angle to work is in the 55-78 degrees. The working load of crawler type and hydraulic one to be applied is 75-85% in the critical loads capacity. As increasing operating radius, crawler type is a favorable position over hydraulic one. Lastly, related problems were verified through examination by suggestions for the design of the selection methods for the case analysis. The major problems are stemming from the selection based on its experiences, unreasonable demand for the existing facility and repeated selections by the designer who accumulates his experiences via same or similar projects.

  • 최근 양중대상 건설자재의 부피와 중량이 증가함에 따라 양중작업에 따른 안전사고의 위험성이 높아지고 있다. 또한 건설현장 공정의 50% 가량에 사용되는 타워크레인의 경우 그동안 '비자주식 장비'라는 이유로 건설기계가 아닌 유해 ${\cdot}$ 위험 기계로 분류되어 설치시에는 노동부의 안전검사를 받으나 설치 이후 상태는 관리되지 않고 있다. 그러나 최근 타워크레인을 건설기계에 등록한다는 내용의 '건설기계관리법 시행령'을 개정하여 곧 시행할 예정이라는 방침에 따라 크레인 안전운행에 관련한 중요성과 관심이 더욱 높아지고 있다. 이러한 사항들을 기초로 본 연구는 한국산업안전공단에 접수된 크레인관련 재해사례들을 다각적으로 분석하고 사고원인을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 연구를 진행하였다.

Computation of Tipping over Stability Criterion using ZMP algorithm for Hydraulic Excavator having Crane Function

  • This paper deals with tipping over of hydraulic excavator's crane work. If the excavator lifts too heavy weight, the excavator will be tipped up. This is account for 38% of whole excavator accidents. In this paper, tipping-over load which is maximum load of excavator can lift with displacement of excavator links, real load and tipping-over rate are computed with Zero Moment Point theory. ZMP is verified with simulation and experiment.

  • Many malfunctions take place in container crane spreader due to impact. So we designed a 2DOF hydraulic impact absorbing system and studied the change of impulse with respect to the variation of falling height and weight. The falling height becomes higher than 1m and the falling weight goes up heavier than 100kg, the impact absorbing rate was lower. When spreader is bumped against container and impulse force concentrates on one point, impact absorbing equipment would not be operated properly and make some trouble.

  • Equipments to influence by external force have to take effect mechanical oscillation. These equipments regardless of the movement on the external force such as roll, pitch and heave etc, worked to keep the height of tote are required for activeness and needed a device as equipment's fluctuation for rapidly compensation. Because the actual development of these devices is difficult to cost-effectively, we were developed to compensation simulator scaled down 1/50. In this paper, we were studying kinematic characteristics, designed the simulator to grasp the point and manufactured. This paper was analyzed for confirming the superiority of compensation simulator and set up 50 ton crane in practice.

반자동화 컨테이너터미널의 RMGC 운영방식 비교 분석 (A Study of Comparison with the Operating Priority Rules of RMGC on Semi-Automated Container Terminal)

  • This paper aims to compare four operating priority rules of RMGC (Rail Mounted Gantry Crane) used in semi-automated container terminal. The four priority rules employed in this paper are FCFS (First-come-first-served), LCFS (Last-come-first-served), TOS (Turn-over-served) and NFS (Nearest-first-served). And to compare the four operating priority rules, this paper analyzed productivity of RMGC and CC (Container Crane), waiting time of YT (Yard Truck) and RT (Road Truck) in container yard, and turnaround time of RT in container terminal of each priority rule by using stevedoring simulation. As a result, NFS was evaluated as the best rule to improve the overall productivity of container terminal in terms of all criteria.
