퍼지 연등가 비용법을 이용한 선박의 경제적 교체시기 결정 (Determination of Container Ship' s Economical Replacement Policy by Fuzzy Annual Equivalent Cost Method)

  • 본 연구는 컨테이너 선박의 경제적 교체주기를 퍼지 연등가 비용법을 이용하여 결정하였다. 특히, 선박의 경제수명의 산출을 위한 비용에는 수많은 애매성이 존재하는데 이러한 애매성을 퍼지수로 표현하였다. 또한 퍼지수를 이용한 퍼지 비용모델을 개발하여 기존의 비용모델 보다 현실적으로 분석하는 방법을 제안하였다. 그리고 제안된 퍼지모델을 이용하여 다양한 크기의 컨테이너선을 대상으로 경제적 수명을 결정하였다.

Cost-based optimization of shear capacity in fiber reinforced concrete beams using machine learning

  • The shear capacity of beams is an essential parameter in designing beams carrying shear loads. Precise estimation of the ultimate shear capacity typically requires comprehensive calculation methods. For steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) beams, traditional design methods may not accurately predict the interaction between different parameters affecting ultimate shear capacity. In this study, artificial neural network (ANN) modeling was utilized to predict the ultimate shear capacity of SFRC beams using ten input parameters. The results demonstrated that the ANN with 30 neurons had the best performance based on the values of root mean square error (RMSE) and coefficient of determination (R2) compared to other ANN models with different neurons. Analysis of the ANN model has shown that the clear shear span to depth ratio significantly affects the predicted ultimate shear capacity, followed by the reinforcement steel tensile strength and steel fiber tensile strength. Moreover, a Genetic Algorithm (GA) was used to optimize the ANN model's input parameters, resulting in the least cost for the SFRC beams. Results have shown that SFRC beams' cost increased with the clear span to depth ratio. Increasing the clear span to depth ratio has increased the depth, height, steel, and fiber ratio needed to support the SFRC beams against shear failures. This study approach is considered among the earliest in the field of SFRC.

  • Asbestos is a building material that has been actively used because of its excellent durability and heat resistance until 2009, when it was found to be a first-class carcinogen and prohibited in Korea. Currently, asbestos dismantling is an essential process in demolition of old buildings. Workers are likely to be exposed to asbestos in the process of dismantling and removing them, which causes various occupational diseases, suggesting related laws and work standards to ensure the safety of asbestos dismantling process. Accordingly, prior studies have been conducted to analyze the level of asbestos exposure and influencing factors occurring during work, but most of them are mainly concerning health issue while research on process risks considering field characteristics and safety aspects of the work processes is still insufficient. Therefore, this study aims to derive the process risks affecting the safety of workers based on the survey results of asbestos dismantling companies, and further proposed a cost calculation model taking those risks into account.

A350 모델의 비행실적을 이용한 중량 효과 검증 (Verification of Weight Effect Using Actual Flight Data of A350 Model)

  • 항공기 중량은 성능 및 연료효율성에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소이다. 항공기의 개념 설계 단계에서는 요소 중량을 추정함에 중량 당 연료소모 비용과 같은 경험식을 이용하여 비용과 중량 간의 균형을 맞추는 과정을 수행한다. 또한, 항공사에서 항공기를 운용할 때 중량관리 활동을 통해 연료 효율성 향상 및 연료절감과 탄소저감을 추진한다. 항공기 중량 변화와 연료 소모 변화 사이의 연관성을 중량비용(Cost of Weight)이라고 하며, 중량비용은 항공기에 중량 추가 혹은 감소가 연료소모에 미치는 영향을 평가함에 사용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 중량비용 산정 방법의 문제점을 확인하고, 이를 해결하기 위한 새로운 방법의 중량비용 산정 방법을 소개한다. Breguet의 Range Formula와 A350-900 항공기의 실제 비행 데이터를 이용하여 이륙중량과 착륙중량 기반의 두 가지 중량비용을 산정한다. 결론에서는 이륙중량과 착륙중량 기반의 중량비용을 다른 용도로 사용함이 합리적임을 제시하였다. 특히, 착륙중량 기반의 중량비용은 유사 항공기 개념설계 단계에서 요소중량 추정 및 비용과 중량 최적화에 하나의 경험식으로 활용할 수 있다.

회피비용을 고려한 EGEAS 모형 개발과 전원개발계획의 최적화 (A Modified EGEAS Model with Avoided Cost and the Optimization of Generation Expansion Plan)

  • Pubilc utility industries including the electric utility industry are facing a new stream of privatization com-petition with the private sector and deregulation. The necewssity to solve now and in the future power supply and demand problems has been increasing through the sophisticated generation expansion plan(GEP) approach con-sidering not only KEPCo's supply-side resources but also outside resources such as non-utility generation(NUG) demand-side management (DSM). Under the environmental situation in the current electric utility industry a new approach is needed to acquire multiple resources competitively. This study presents the development of a modified electric generation expansion analysis system(EGEAS) model with avoided cost based on the existing EGEAS model which is a dynamic program to develope an optimal generation expansion plan for the electric utility. We are trying to find optimal GEP in Korea's case using our modified model and observe the difference for the level of reliabilities such as the reserve margin(RM) loss of load probability(LOLP) and expected unserved energy percent(EUEP) between the existing EGEAS model and our model. In addition we are trying to calculate avoided cost for NUG resources which is a criterion to evaluate herem and test possibility of connection calculation of avoided cost with GEP implementation using our modified model. The results of our case study are as follows. First we were able to find that the generation expansion plan and reliability measures were largely influenced by capacity size and loading status of NUG resources, Second we were able to find that avoided cost which are criteria to evaluate NUG resources could be calculated by using our modified EGEAS model with avoided cost. We also note that avoided costs were calculated by our model in connection with generation expansion plans.

화자식별 시스템의 계산량 감소를 위한 화자 프루닝 방법 (A Speaker Pruning Method for Reducing Calculation Costs of Speaker Identification System)

  • 본 논문에서는 GMM (Gaussian Mixture Model)에 기반한 문맥독립 화자식별 시스템의 식별성능 향상과 실시간 처리를 위한 계산량 감소를 위하여 화자 프루닝 (Speaker Pruning) 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 화자식별 방법인 최대유사도(Maximum Likelihood) 방법과 가중모델순위 (Weighting Model Rank) 방법, 수정된 가중모델순위 (Modified WMR) 방법 등은 입력 음성 전체와 모든 화자모델들과의 유사도를 프레임 단위로 계산하여 가장 큰 누적 유사도를 가지는 화자를 식별화자로 결정하는 방법으로써, 입력 프레임 및 등록 화자수가 늘어남에 따라 계산량 및 식별시간이 늘어나는 단점이 있었다. 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위하여, 제안방법은 입력음성 프레임의 일부분만을 이용하여 화자모델들과의 프레임 유사도를 계산한 후 계산된 유사도를 이용하여 등록화자의 상위 일부분의 화자만을 선택하고, 선택된 화자들에서만 유사도 계산을 수행함으로서 계산량 및 식별시간을 줄이는 방법이다. 또한, 화자 프루닝을 적용할 경우 화자수가 가변 되더라도 수정된 가중모델 순위방법을 적용할 수 있어 식별성능을 높일 수 있다. 식별실험결과, 제안방법을 적용한 경우 기존의 최대 유사도 방법이나 가중모델순위 방법보다 최대 65%의 계산량 및 식별시간을 감소시킬 수 있었으며, 약 2%의 향상된 식별결과를 나타내어, 본 논문에서 제안한 방법의 유효성을 확인할 수 있었다.

제품수준 탄소배출이력 계산을 위한 제품자료모델 확장 (An Extension of Product Data Model for Calculating Product-level Carbon Footprint)

  • The product-level carbon footprint (PCF) is a comprehensive and widely accepted metric for sustainable product development. However, since a full PCF study in general is time and cost intensive, it is not feasible for the product development team to synchronize the activity to the main product development process. In addition, the current dedicated life cycle assessment (LCA) tools for calculating PCF, separated from the main product data management systems, have limitations to provide timely PCF information for design decision makings and collaborations between design and environment engineers. This paper examines the possibility of the extension of the current product data model that can support the PCF calculation with PDM (Product Data Management) databases. The product data model can represent not only the content of products but also context or system information of the products. The product data model can be implemented as a PDM database that can satisfy the needs for handy and timely PCF calculations from the consistent product data for dynamic design decision makings and engineering collaborations.

다제품 저장창고의 재고관리를 위한 적응 모형예측 제어기 (Warehouse Inventory Control System Using Periodic Square Wave Model)

  • An inventory control system was developed for a distribution system consisting of a single multiproduct warehouse serving a set of customers and purchasing products from multiple vendors. Purchase orders requesting multiple products are delivered to the warehouse in a process. The receipt of customer orders by the warehouse proceeded in order intervals and in order quantities that are subject to random fluctuations. The objective of warehouse operation is to minimize the total cost while maintaining inventory levels within the warehouse capacity by adjusting the purchase order intervals and quantities. An adaptive model predictive control algorithm was developed using a periodic square wave model to represent the material flows. The adaptive concept incorporated a stabilized minimum variance control-type input calculation coupled with input/output stream parameter predictions. The effectiveness of the scheme was demonstrated using simulations.

  • The real time modeling of dynamic system on adaptive control system is very important for flying control system(FCS). Using traditional method, it is required much calculation load for integral/differential at control system. Therefore, It is very important theme of study in these days to find algorithms for integration/differential at FCS. These algorithms for integral/differential influence strongly stability/reliability to control flying object. In this paper, we present optimal predictive sampling time for reduce calculation load at FCS and optimal predictive time on general cost function by applying adaptive control method.

A Study on the Optimal Mahalanobis Distance for Speech Recognition

  • In an effort to enhance the quality of feature vector classification and thereby reduce the recognition error rate of the speaker-independent speech recognition, we employ the Mahalanobis distance in the calculation of the similarity measure between feature vectors. It is assumed that the metric matrix of the Mahalanobis distance be diagonal for the sake of cost reduction in memory and time of calculation. We propose that the diagonal elements be given in terms of the variations of the feature vector components. Geometrically, this prescription tends to redistribute the set of data in the shape of a hypersphere in the feature vector space. The idea is applied to the speech recognition by hidden Markov model with fuzzy vector quantization. The result shows that the recognition is improved by an appropriate choice of the relevant adjustable parameter. The Viterbi score difference of the two winners in the recognition test shows that the general behavior is in accord with that of the recognition error rate.
