However, the management of the hospital or the temporal order to receive professional care providers, spatial, and cost constraints caused many companies to solve this problem began to approach the Home Care Area. Global trends in personal skin care market has been activated, the domestic has been activated at low cost, private market due to the recession. We have performed this test in order to develop a skin care device for home in order to compensate for this point.In this paper, we develop a low-level laser to create a personal skin care products and sought to incorporate them into the skin cosmetic.Expand the pores by using the low-level laser to the skin by to the dermal layer of the skin was penetrated aim experiment the ampoule, and by a comparison of the medical low-level laser reliability and determine the effectiveness or absence of the performance and efforts to commercialize.

The effect of hospital workers cosmeceutical cosmetics product selection on marketing communications (병원종사자의 코스메슈티컬화장품에 대한 제품선택이 마케팅커뮤니케이션에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of product selection of hospital workers cosmeceutical cosmetics on marketing communication among hospital workers who use cosmeceutical cosmetics that have emerged in line with the recent growing medical skin care field.Coping with complaints from consumers who buy cosmeceutical cosmetics in hospitals where cosmeceutical cosmetics are mainly used and sold, and minimizing the influence of negative issues will potentially strengthen consumer relationships. The study was conducted on 520 hospital workers who use cosmeceutical cosmetics in hospitals (dermatology, plastic surgery, women's clinic, and other hospitals) in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon. A total of 502 questionnaires were used for the final analysis. The data analysis consisted of Cronbach's alpha, one-way ANOVA, exploratory factor analysis and Duncan test. Correlation analysis was performed to investigate the correlation between variables, and regression analysis was conducted to test hypotheses. The study results revealed that when choosing cosmetic cosmetics, marketing communication is influential. Especially, product value, quality, and price factors strongly affect marketing communication. This shows that we value the product and quality the most and we want a reasonable price. Considering this, we will pursue differentiated products only from cosmeceutical cosmetics and provide them as basic data necessary for securing potential customers and increasing the sales of cosmeceutical cosmetics in accordance with the changing trends.

  • Light cycle oil (LCO), one of the by-products of the catalytic cracking gasoline manufacturing process, contains a lot of valuable aromatics. In particular, 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene (2,6-DMN) contained in LCO has been becoming important as the basic material of polyethylene naphthalate plastic and liquid crystal polymer, etc. If it were possible to separate and purify the valuable aromatic hydrocarbons (such as 2,6-DMN) from LCO, which have only been used as fuel mixed with heavy oil, it would be very meaningful in terms of the efficient use of resources. We investigated the high-purity purification of 2,6-DMN by the combined method of melt crystallization (MC) and solute crystallization (SC). The enriched DMN isomer mixtures (concentration of 2,6-DMN : 10.43%) recovered from LCO by distillation-extraction combination and the crystal recovered by MC used as raw materials of MC and SC, respectively. The solvent of SC used was a mixture of methanol and acetone (60 : 40 wt%). The crystal of 2,6-DMN with a high-purity of 99.5% was recovered by MC-SC combination. We confirmed that the MC-SC combination was one of the very useful combinations for the high-purity purification of 2,6-DMN contained in the enriched DMN isomer mixtures.

  • The aim of this study was to view Korean Hallyu stars, the advertisement models of Korean cosmetics brands, as human brands in the Chinese cosmetics market. Furthermore, this study attempted to verify whether the attributes of human brands, such as reliability, professionalism, attraction, intimacy, similarity and favorable impression, affect Chinese consumers' affection toward Korean celebrities, and whether such Chinese consumers recognize the authenticity of the products, sellers, and companies of Korean cosmetics brands advertised by Korean stars. The results of empirical analysis indicated that among the attributes of Korean stars, the advertisement models of Korean cosmetics companies, Chinese consumers' affection toward Korean stars was positively affected by reliability, attraction and similarity, but not by professionalism, intimacy and favorable impression. Furthermore, results showed that the consumers' affection toward Korean stars positively affected the authenticity of the brands advertised by the celebrities.

Physicochemical Properties and Biological Activities of Angelica gigas Fermented by Saccharomyces cerevisiae (유용 효모균주를 이용한 발효참당귀분말 추출물의 이화학적 특성 및 생리활성 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the biological activities of an aqueous extract of Angelica gigas (Ag) fermented by Saccharomyces cerevisiae (Sc). First, the soluble solids of the F/3 group, in which the Ag was fermented by Sc for 3 days, decreased from $1^{\circ}Bx$ to $0.9^{\circ}Bx$. On the other hand, the pH increased with the number of days of fermentation. The result of a TLC experiment confirmed that it gradually decomposed into a low-molecular weight sugar form upon fermentation. The total phenolic compounds and flavonoid contents were higher in the fermented group than in the non-fermented group. K and Ca contents were increased by fermentation in the following order: F/3, NF, and F/0 groups. Decursin and decursinol angelate contents were highest in the F/3 group. The DPPH (${\alpha}$, ${\alpha}{\prime}$-diphenyl-${\beta}$-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging activity of the NF, F/0, and F/3 groups were 41.89%, 39.51%, and 60.26%, respectively. The inhibition activities of tyrosinase and lipoxygenase were stronger in the F/3 group than in the NF group. This experiment showed that the fermentation of Ag Nakai can lead to an increase in its antioxidant ability, physiological activity, whitening and anti-inflammatory effects. Thus, this oriental herbal medicine can be developed into a functional material that can be utilized in the development of cosmetic products in future.

Biosynthesis of Compound K, a biologically active saponin of ginseng(Panax ginseng) by bioconversion (인삼(Panax ginseng)으로부터 생물전환을 이용한 생리활성물질인 Compound K의 생합성)

  • Ginsenoside Compound K is a triterpene saponin found in the leafs, stems and roots of Panax ginseng. This study aimed to prepare a valuable ginsenoside Compound K using ginseng extracts with the enzyme(Plantase). Plantase showed very efficient activity to produce Compound K from ginseng extracts. Plantase exhibited the highest activity at pH 5 and 50 ℃, as a result of investigating the yield of Compound K by changing the temperature and pH, while fixing the enzyme concentration to 10% or 15% over 48 hours of reaction time. Under optimium conditions, Plantase produced and accumulated Compound K over 35 wt% of whole ginseng extracts. Antimicrobial activitiy of bioconvertied ginseng extracts showed selectivity against Cutibacterium acnes KCTC 3314. Minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of bioconverted ginseng extract (35% of Compound K enriched extract) against Cutibacterium acnes KCTC 3314 strain is 31.25ug/mL. These results suggest that the Compound K enriched extract is potential materials for cosmetic products and Plantase is a very useful enzyme for Compound K production.

PCR Analysis for Halal Authentication of Cosmetics Containing Carrot, Oyster Mushroom, and Pine Needle Extracts (당근, 느타리버섯 및 솔잎 추출물이 첨가된 화장품의 할랄인증을 위한 PCR 분석)

  • In recent years, interest in halal authentication from the domestic food and cosmetics field has been growing for advances into the overseas halal market. For halal authentication, the product must not contain haram ingredients derived from pig, dog, human, GMO, etc. In this study, the presence of haram ingredients in plant extracts (carrot, oyster mushroom, and pine needle) treated with papain and bromelain and cosmetics (mask pack and cream) containing these extracts were analyzed by PCR to confirm whether these cosmetics were suitable for halal authentication. Detection limits of the PCR method that specifically detected template DNA of human, pig, dog, and GMO were $1.29{\times}10^3$, $1.14{\times}10^3$, $1.24{\times}10^2$ and $2.02{\times}10^3copies/tube$, respectively. PCR was not inhibited by the plant extracts or cosmetic ingredients. Results of PCR for the plant extracts or cosmetics containing these extracts were all negative. This PCR method could be used to rapidly identify the presence of haram ingredients in raw materials or final products during the manufacturing process of food and cosmetics.

Effect of Gami-Chunggisan on Antioxidant and Pro-Inflammatory Cytokine (가미청기산(加味淸肌散)이 항산화와 염증성 사이토카인에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives : Gami-Chunggisan extract (GCE) is one of the oriental traditional medicine. We investigated the antioxidant effect and reduction of pro-inflammatory cytokine as a functional ingredient for cosmetic products from the GCE. Methods : GCE was prepared by extracting with 80% ethanol. We analyzed total polyphenol and antioxidant activities. To evaluate antioxidant activity, we measured 2,2'-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging assay. Also we measured the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitric oxide (NO) on Raw264.7 cells. We researched reduction of anti-inflammatory cytokines from concentration of GCE on Raw264.7 cells. Results : Total polyphenol quantity of GCE was included 46.6 mg/g. The GCE showed ABTS free radical scavenging ability with more than 89% at $1000{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. In addition the DPPH free radical scavenging ability from the GCE was activated over 93% at $1000{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. Production of the ROS was decreased by approximately 26%, upon the GCE treatment at concentration of $100{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. The GCE at $100{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ concentration showed inhibitory effect on NO production by 38%. Production of IL-$1{\beta}$ and IL-6 were decreased by approximately 56% and 36%, respectively upon GCE treatment at $100{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. Also, production of TNF-${\alpha}$ was decreased by approximately 79% at $100{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. Moreover, the GCE showed inhibitory effects on the expression of the IL-$1{\beta}$, IL-6 and TNF-${\alpha}$ genes in LPS-induced Raw 264.7 cells. Conclusions : From the results above, we conclude that the GCE indicated significant antioxidant effects and induced reduction of pro-inflammatory cytokine.

Anti-inflammatory activity and toxicity of the compound K produced by bioconversion (생물전환에 의해 생성된 Compound K의 항염증 및 독성 효과)

  • Compound K (20-O-β-(D-glucopyranosyl)-20(S)-protopanaxadiol) is an active ingredient of ginsenosides. Compound K has been known to produce from biotransformation by β-glucosidase action of human intestinal microbes after oral admistration of ginseng. We have investigated the cytotoxicity of compound K obtained from bio-converted ginseng extract. As a result, compound K showed no significant cytotoxicity in the concentration of 0.001 to 1 ㎍/mL and inhibited the production of TNF-α, MCP-1, IL-6 and NO in RAW 264.7 cells induced by LPS inflamation. In the same concentration, HaCaT cells induced by inflammation with TNF-α and IFN-γ decreased IL-8 production due to compound K treatment. In the brine shrimp lethality assay, the LC50 of compound K was 0.37 mg/mL indicating some toxicity, but the bioconverted product containing 35% compound K showed relatively low toxicity with an LC50 of 0.87 mg/mL. These results suggest that the compound K enriched extract is a potential functional material for acne relief cosmetic products.

Anti-inflammatory effect of Crypsinus hastatus biorenovation extract (고란초 생물 전환 추출물의 항염증 효과)

  • Biorenovation is a method for converting materials using the enzyme properties of microorganisms. Natural products converted by that method increase physiological activity or reduce cytotoxicity. In this study, we investigated the anti-inflammatory activity of crypsinus hastatus prothallium (CH) and biorenovated CH prothallium (CHB) using RAW 264.7 cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). CHB inhibited the production of nitric oxide, prostaglandin E2 and cytokines (interleukin-6, interleukin-1β, tumor necrosis factor-α) compared to CH at a concentration of 50-200 ㎍/mL. In addition, CHB concentration of 200 ㎍/mL inhibited the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase and cyclooxygenase-2 protein by LPS stimulation to the level of the untreated control group. These results indicate that CHB could be a novel anti-inflammatory agent for cosmetic and pharmaceutical ingredients.It also suggests that the application of biorenovation has potential usefulness in developing anti-inflammatory materials.
